  • How do setBounds in Google Maps API v2?

    - by Matthew Lock
I'm upgrading some code written for Google Maps API v2, and I wish to set the bounds of the map (top, left, bottom, right), rather than the centre. I notice that there's a GMap2.getBounds but I can't seem to find a method which allows me to set the bounds. How can I do this in Google Maps?

  • dynamic date formats in eyecon's Bootstrap Datepicker

    - by Jennifer Michelle
    I need to update my datepickers' date format (mm.dd.yyyy etc) using a select box. I am currently using Eyecon's Bootstrap Datepicker because it had the smallest files size that I could find (8k minified), and includes the date formats I need. I also tried to trigger date format changes in several other datepickers without any success. Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/Yshy7/8/ Is there an obvious way to trigger a change from the select box to the datepickers? //date format var dateFormat = $('#custom_date_format').val() || "mm/dd/yyyy"; $('#custom_date_format').change(function() { var dateFormat = $(this).val(); }); //start and end dates var nowTemp = new Date(); var now = new Date(nowTemp.getFullYear(), nowTemp.getMonth(), nowTemp.getDate(), 0, 0, 0, 0); var checkin = $('.j-start-date').datepicker({ format: dateFormat, onRender: function(date) { //return date.valueOf() < now.valueOf() ? 'disabled' : ''; } }).on('changeDate', function(ev) { if (ev.date.valueOf() > checkout.date.valueOf()) { var newDate = new Date(ev.date) newDate.setDate(newDate.getDate()); checkout.setValue(newDate); } checkin.hide(); $('.j-end-date')[0].focus(); }).data('datepicker'); var checkout = $('.j-end-date').datepicker({ format: dateFormat, onRender: function(date) { return date.valueOf() <= checkin.date.valueOf() ? 'disabled' : ''; } }).on('changeDate', function(ev) { checkout.hide(); }).data('datepicker');

  • Web Services API Versioning

    - by Paul Izzy
I offer a small Web Services API to my clients which I plan to evolve over time. So I need some sort of versioning, but I can't find any information about how you do something like that. Is there a best practise? How can I keep adding new functionality without breaking compatibility with the web services consumers?

  • What to do when GMap Satellite imagery is unavailable

    - by robstenson
Hello-- is it possible to programmatically detect with the google maps api (javascript, v2) when satellite imagery is unavailable at a certain zoom level? I am creating some maps automatically and setting them to a certain zoom level, but in a few cases there is no satellite imagery available at that level, in which case I'd like to automatically back up a zoom level. Does the api expose some way of determining this lack of imagery? So far the only thing I can think of is trying to find out, with javascript, whether or not the image requests that the api makes are failing, and then reacting based on those failed image requests, but I can't really get it to work... and it seems a little inelegant. Thanks for your help!

  • Win32 API prevent standby

    - by bobobobo
What is the Win32 api function that prevents the system from going into standby? Some programs use it, which is pretty annoying in my opinion. I know there's a couple of WM_SYSCOMMAND messages you can trap to prevent the screensaver from coming on..

  • .NET XBox Live Account API

    - by Adam Haile
Is there a .NET API available to get data from your XBox Live account? All I'm really interested in is who's online, but messages would be cool too. And some sort of event driven notifications of user sign-on would be great, but I'll poll if need be.

  • Gui's with Win32 API

    - by user146780
I'm wondering what the correct way of creating Gui's in with Win32 API. Right now I just call the CreateWindowEx in my WM_CREATE event, but I don't think this is the right way to do it. Just as an example, what would be the correct way of adding a 100x20 EditField and getting text from it? Would you create it on WM_Create then use GetText()? Thanks

  • Bootstrap: show/hide column divs with checkbox and change column span

    - by Berto Alvaro
    I'm using Bootstrap 3.2. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to show/hide a "col-sz-#" div AND change the "col-sz-#" class in visible divs to resize them to fit the container using checkbox style buttons for each column. For example, if I start with <div class="row"> <div class="col-md-2">...</div> <div class="col-md-2">...</div> <div class="col-md-2">...</div> <div class="col-md-2">...</div> <div class="col-md-2">...</div> <div class="col-md-2">...</div> </div> Then if hide 2 of them and the others resize: <div class="row"> <div class="col-md-2 hidden">...</div> <div class="col-md-2 hidden">...</div> <div class="col-md-3">...</div> <div class="col-md-3">...</div> <div class="col-md-3">...</div> <div class="col-md-3">...</div> </div> if the total columns can't divide 12 evenly like 5, then it wouldn't change.

  • jqGrid error when setting width using new API

    - by Arturo Molina
I'm using the new API to set the width of my jqGrid like this: $('#grid').jqGrid('setGridWidth', $(window).width() * 0.98); The problem is that in IE7 I'm getting this error: 'p.cellLayout' is null or not an object This only happens in IE7 (IE8, Firefox and Chrome work fine). Has anybody else encounter this problem and fixed it?

  • Reduce size and change text color of the bootstrap-datepicker field

    - by Lisarien
Programing an Android application based on HTML5/JQuery launching in a web view, I'm using the Eternicode's bootstrap-datepicker. BTW I'm using Jquery 1.9.1 and Bootstrap 2.3.2 with bootstrap-responsive. The picker is working fine but unfortunately I get yet two issues which I was not able to solve at this time: the picker theme is not respected and some dates are not readable (see the attached picture). Some there is css conflict such as the datepicker's font is displayed white on white background. I'm not able to reduce the size of the date picker field such as it holds on alone row. My markup code is: <div class="row-fluid" style="margin-right:0px!important"> <label id="dateId" class="span6">One Date</label> <div id="datePurchase" class="input-append date"> <input data-format="yyyy-MM-dd" type="text" /> <span class="add-on"> <i data-time-icon="icon-time" data-date-icon="icon-calendar"></i> </span> </div> </div> I init the datepicker by Javascript: $("#dateId").datetimepicker({ pickTime: false, format: "dd/MM/yyyy", startDate: startDate, endDate: endDate, autoclose: true }); $("#dateId").on("changeDate", onChangeDate); Do you get any idea about these issues? Thanks very much

  • Angularjs togglecheck error(not working as intended) with prechecked data

    - by crozzfire
I have this plunker where i have a button that opens a bootstrap modal dialog box. I the modal, when a course is selected(checked) from this list, it adds 3 to the $scope.planned and also increases the progress bar accordingly. Similarly it also reduces in the same way when a checkbox is unchecked. This is the function that does the above: $scope.toggleCheck = function (course) { //debugger var x = $scope.checkcoursefunction($scope.selectedCourses, course); if(x==true){ $scope.selectedCourses.splice($scope.selectedCourses.indexOf(course), 1); $scope.planned -= 3; } else{ if ($scope.selectedCourses.indexOf(course) === -1){ $scope.selectedCourses.push(course); $scope.planned += 3; } else { $scope.selectedCourses.splice($scope.selectedCourses.indexOf(course), 1); $scope.planned -= 3; } } $scope.getPercentage(); }; I have 2 services from where the controller fetches its data named Requirements and Planned Services. The table in the modal has a list of the requirements service data. I also have a function named checkplanneddetails() that checks if an item from this data is present in the requirements data. If present, they come in the table pre-checked. This is the function that checks: $scope.checkplanneddetails = function(course){ $scope.coursedetail = course; $scope.requirementcoursename = ($scope.coursedetail.course.subject).concat("-",$scope.coursedetail.course.course_no); for(var k = 0; k < $scope.planneddetails.length; k++){ if($scope.requirementcoursename==$scope.planneddetails[k].course_name){ $scope.selectedCourses.push(course); return true; } } return false; }; $scope.checkcoursefunction = function(arr, obj){ return (arr.indexOf(obj) != -1); } This works fine with bringing the data as checked. But the togglecheck() function does not work as they are supposed to with these checked details(they work in reverse). It always returns true(for var x in togglecheck) even after the splice function. Am i splicing the course correctly?

  • FingerPrint Reader SDK or API

    - by Bob Manz
Hello, I am looking for an SDK or API that I could utilize to simply grab a Bitmap or Byte[] from the fingerprint reader. Most of the SDKs out there do much more than this and require expensive licensing which I don't want. I will be integrating this into a .NET windows application. One requirement, it needs to work with a Futronics FS80 which is a very popular fingerprint reader. Any suggestions?
