  • Installing flex on Mac Parallels

    Hello folks, I am trying to install Flex 3 on my Windows 7 Virtual machine (parallels desktop) on my Mac Pro. The problem seems to be some sort of conflict between the copy of Flex 3 Builder installed on Mac OS X. The installer tries to install Flex in x:/Program Files/Adobe/Flex Builder 3/ but since Parallels Desktop connects all directories, there resides the Flex Builder 3 installation of MAC.     I have a problem with the mapping of Oracle Float double precision datatype to Java Double datatype. The hibernate schema validator seems to fail when the Java Double datatype is used. org.hibernate.HibernateException: Wrong column type in DB.TABLE for column amount.   • Injection of banners in my webbrowsers possible malware

    Recently I have started to suspect that I have some kind of virus on my computer. There are 3 symptoms: Banners are being displayed on pages that doesn't use commercials, for instance when viewing screen-shots on Steam. It is only displayed after the rest of the page has been loaded and seems to be injected into it. The whole page is replaced with a commercial with the option to skip the commercial. The page is replaced with a search window claiming that the page could not be found. I have tried to scan my computer with Antivir and Adaware but only found a couple of tracking cookies. I have run HijackThis but since this isn't really my area I haven't been able to discern what shouldn't be there except the line about zonealarm since I have uninstalled it. Is there anyone out there who is able to see if there is anything suspicious in the log-file at the end or has suggestions regarding programs that might be better to find the virus than Antivir and Adaware?     I am taking a software engineering class right now. Our assignment is to evaluate Mozilla's Thunderbird. Our assignment is to evaluate the size of Thunderbird. One metric that we need to use is the number of lines of code in the project. (Lines of code meaning not including comments or new lines). Is there a standard way to find the number of lines or am I better off just cracking out a script to do this? I think that I could do something like this: # remove all comments find -name *.java | \ sed "/\/*/,\*\// s/.*//g | \ # remove multiline comments sed s/\/\///g # remove single line comments # count not empty lines find -name *.java | grep -c "<character>" But I would need to do that for each file type. It seems like there should be some utility that does that already. (something mac/unix compatible would be preferable).

    Hi I'm trying to take a screen shot of an applet running inside a browser. The applet is using JOGL (OpenGL for Java) to display 3D models. (1) The screen shots always come out either black or white.The current solution uses the usual GDI calls. Screen shots of applets not running OpenGL are fine.     Hi gang, We are moving to SSO in our N-tiered SOA applications. If all the services were SOAP, I'd be ok with just the WS-Security, WS-Trust, WS-Federation set of protocols. My problem is that many of the services are RESTful (ironic) and those protocols do not address REST services.     People, My team is just beginning to learn how to use COBOL on Eclipse (as part of the Rational Developer for System Z package) and one of our most desired features are code templates or code snippets. What we'd like to have is a code completion based on snippets just like we have on Java. For example, when I type try and hit ctrl-space Eclipse shows me a list of completion options, where one of those is create a try/catch block. Well, in COBOL one could leverage this when creating, for example, embedded SQL blocks, like EXEC SQL SELECT field, field, field, FROM table WHERE field = value, field = value END-EXEC. However, for some reason, it seems that Eclipse treats COBOL a little differently (no wonder why) from other languages. As such, when looking for the code templates in the preferences menu for COBOL, its appearance is very different from the Java one. The question is: how does one uses Eclipse's code templates with COBOL?

    Hey, We have been using XMLRPC for android and it was working well until we got our hands dirty with Base64 encoding for byte[] (images) -- (we did base64_string.replace("/","$$") for transmission). We have tried undoing the changes and its looking an XMLRPC error. There is a document for Jack which contains contact details of Jack. Server A and B are replicated and both have the same version of Jack document. In server A, Jack's mobile no is updated. In server B, Jack's address is updated. Now when we do bi-directional replication there is a conflict. How does couchDB handles it? If we initiate replication in a Java program, is there a way to know whether there were any conflicts from the java program?

  • Too many connections to 212.192.255.240

    Recently, my Internet slowed down drastically. I downloaded a tool to see the TCP/IP connections from my Vista computer. I found out that a lot TCP/IP connections are being connected to 212.192.255.240 through SVCHost. It seems that it is trying to connect to different ports. I think that my computer is being infected with some kind of malware etc. But I am not sure how to get rid of it. I did a little bit of research on this IP but found nothing. Any suggestions are highly appreciated. UPDATE: This is the HiJackThis log file and I can't find any thing weird. Also, the program is also trying to create connections to 91.205.127.63, which is also from Russia.
