  • Can't find compiled resource bundles

    I am using Adobe Flash Builder 4. I've run into this issue with my latest project, but I was able to re-create it with an almost empty project. Here is what I've done. Created a new Flex Project Created a locale/en_US folder within this project. Added a class that extends SparkDownloadProgressBar. All this class does is attempt to create a Label. When I try to debug this application, I get the following error.     What exactly influences the kind of RAM a desktop or laptop can support? Apart from the clock speed, the maximum amount of RAM the motherboard can handle, the DDR type (1/2/3) and the shape of the module (DIMM for desktops, SO-DIMM for laptops)? I see that in certain cases, such as with the Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9, (and on the Kingston KTD-L3B/4G page) the page displays a set of laptop product numbers. Does the actual model of the laptop also influence the models of RAM it can support? Could, for instance, an Asus K52 work with that particular RAM module, even if it specifies Dell models?

  • How do I use wine's new multi-channel audio support?

    Wine supposedly added Multi-channel support to the ALSA driver in a recent release. However, I haven't found any documentation about it or any reports of anyone successfully using it. I have 5.1 surround sound through ALSA (not Pulse) on my linux system, yet games in wine don't seem to use anything more than stereo, no matter which ALSA device I select in winecfg. Can someone explain what must be done to get wine games to use all my speakers for positional audio, or failing that, point me toward some useful documentation on the new multi-channel support?

  • Learning Visual C++ 2008 and C++ at the same time? Any resources to recommend?

    Hey guys, I am trying to learn Visual C++ 2008 and C++ at the same time to get involved with sourcemod, a server side modding tool for valve games. However I have never touched Visual C++ or C++ in general, and doing some preliminary research I am quite confused on these different versions of C++ (mfc, cli, win32), and why a lot of people seem to hate Visual C++ and use something like Borland instead. I really learn visually, and have used videos from places like Lynda.com with great success. I was wondering if anyone had any exceptional resources they had come across to teach Visual C++ 2k8, with its intricacies and setting up the IDE along with C++ at the same time. Books would be nice, but videos would be preferred, and I don't mind paying for resources. Thanks in advance!

  • Can I get dual monitor support (2xDVI) from my (DVI+HDMI) graphics card?

    It seems that pure 2 x DVI dual head video cards are becoming rare. Most cards feature something like 1 x DVI plus 1 x HDMI plus 1 x VGA or some other interface. The idea seems to be that you can just use an HDMI <= DVI adapter. One result is that cards are seldom marked " 2 x DVI " anymore, but does this mean that they support simultaneous output on all interfaces? Are all cards dual head these days? Take Asus's nVidia cards for example, they routinely have 1 x DVI plus 1 x HDMI instead of 2 x DVI, so my question is, are these equivalent to a dual head DVI card, or is there some detail required for dual monitor support? I use dual-monitor stretched desktops for digital signage projects.

My question is: Will ~Program() get called at a non-determined time or it won't be called at all in this case. If the deconstructor won't get called, then how GC collect the unmanaged resources and managed resources. Thank you very much!

    I am trying to convert my model-first project to code-first, as I can see dealing with the models with the graphical designer will become hard. Unfortunately, with all my googling I can't find one good reference that describes how to do code-first development. Most resources are out of date (so out of date they refer to it as code-only), and the other references I can find seem to assume you understand the basics of context building and code-first (for example, they reference code to build contexts but don't describe where that code should actually go, and how it's actually run). Are there any decent resources for code-first development, that describe how to map your POCO entities into a database schema?

  • Upgrade AirPort on Macs to support Snow Leopard's Wake on Wireless/WLAN?

    Snow Leopard now supports Wake on WLAN, but not all hardware supports this. For example, my Octo Mac Pro from early 2008 has an AirPort card, but it does not support this. Nor does my 2007 2.33GHz MacBook Pro. For reference to what is needed, look at http://www.macrumors.com/2009/08/28/a-closer-look-at-snow-leopards-wake-on-demand-feature/ which includes a screenshot of what the System Profiler should show. It's pretty hard to find Apple parts, but is it possible to put newer cards into these machines to have them support Wake on Wireless?

  • Webkit based browsers on Mac refuse to load certain websites or resources, other browsers work fine from the same machine

    OK, this one has really been puzzling me. Certain websites (such as instapaper.com ) or certain resources (such as the CSS and images for icanhazcheezeburger.com sites) refuse to load at all in Safari or Chrome on any of my Mac machines. Rebooting the machine doesn't fix it. If I use another browser, such as Firefox or a browser on my iPhone or in my Windows virtual machine, the pages load just fine. When the whole page errors out, Safari displays an error: "WebKit encountered an internal error" WebKitErrorDomain:300 This is all from within my home network. Any ideas what could possibly be causing such bizarre behavior?

  • IntelliJ: Adding resources to the class path, but still gives me "java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle.... locale en_US"

    I am quite new to intellij and i have loaded in a project that i wish to compile, everything seems to be going well, but when i compile it. I get the bundle cannot be found. java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name openfire_i18n, locale en_US at java.util.ResourceBundle.throwMissingResourceException(ResourceBundle.java:1499) After doing some investigation, it appears i have to include the resources in the class path, is this correct? I have done Project Settings, Modules, Dependencies, and i added a "Jars or directories" There is a checkbox that says Export, i have tried clicking it and unclicking it :-) My resources i can see are in i8n\ResourceBundle I tried adding the i8n and it asked me for a category for selected files, i put classes RUN - but still same error.. so i tried adding the i8n/ResourceBundle directory RUN - still same error. I notice under my ResourceBundle directory there are C:\Dev\Java\openfire_src_3_7_1\openfire_src\src\i18n\openfire_i18n_en.properties but there is no specific en_US but i thought it supposed to fallback to EN ?? SO i think everything is ok. Can anyone help I am really stuck Thanks

  • What options can I use in totem, xine or vlc to play on machines with limited resources?

    Mplayer has some options that allow me to play it on a machine with limited resources. I can use mplayer -vo x11 -zoom -framedrop to play videos when otherwise I'd run out of memory. At least I think I'm running out of memory. I am running our of some resource for sure. -vo sets the video output driver -zoom actually I don't know what this does, but it works for me ;-) -framedrop allows mplayer to not render frames if it falls behind. Are there similar command line controls (or a defaults file) for totem, vlc or xine?

    Does anyone here know if Active Directory will support the use of both Windows Folder Redirection and Mac OS X's Portable Home Directories for synchronizing a user's files to a remote share? I want to synchronize my user's files with a remote share as a way of backing up their data. This is fairly straightforward if a user has only a Windows computer or only a Mac computer. However, will Active Directory support a situation in which a user has both types of computers or they have a Mac on which they're running Windows within Parallels? If I configure a remote share via Group Policies for their Windows files and then configure a different share for their Mac files via ADUC, when they change a file on either computer, will AD know which computer the file was changed on and synchronize that file with the appropriate remote folder? However, according to http://jetty.mortbay.org/jetty5/faq/faq%5Fs%5F200-General%5Ft%5Fapache.html , Apache can be configured as a HTTP/1.1 proxy to pass selected request to the Jetty using the HTTP/1.1 protocol. This is simple to configure and use, but current versions of the apache mod_proxy do not support persistent connections. As far as I know, the reverse ajax in jetty is depending on continuation (I guess it is persistent connection). So how to let jetty support reverse ajax, while coexist with apache server? Thanks.

    I have a PowerShell script that deploys about 12 web parts. They have all been created through Visual Studio 2010 and are being deployed to SharePoint 2010. I am getting the following error when running Install-SPSolution for one of my web parts: Install-SPSolution : This solution contains no resources scoped for a Web application and cannot be deployed to a particular Web application. Can someone help me debug this? Every other Install-SPSolution command uses -AllWebApplications, and I do not want to specify the web application directly using -URL.     I have a new Alienware m11 laptop with a brand new Crucial M4 128GB SSD. I have installed the SSD but not used it yet. I am thinking of using FDE with DiskCryptor 1.0.732.111. I will install Win7 Pro x64. I have read about support for TRIM in v1.0.732.111 but also about leaving unpartitioned space. My SSD drive, 'Crucual M4' does not have a manufacturer built-in reserve like other drives. My questions are: Should I leave some free unpartitioned space with v1 of DC and W7x64 even though it will support TRIM or should I not do this? Should I install DC v1 first or after installing Windows 7 (assuming it is brand new, never been used SSD)?

  • Can I combine atom feeds from separate resources into one?

    I have two resources for which I would like to generate feeds; they are called podcasts and posts. The problem is that when I include the auto_discovery_link in my templates, I have to add one for each of the two atom feeds that I've generated. The reason why this is a problem is that there are now two feeds for users to choose from, and most people probably won't realise that they need both so will only pick one. Is there a way to combine atom feeds from different resources into one atom feed? Like application.atom or something? I'm using builder to generate the feed.
