• safely remove webserver from nginx backent pool?

  We have 4 webservers behind nginx being hit with 262 events/second. I would like to tell nginx to stop sending requests to that server. If I remove the server from the file and reload the file, aren't all requests in process dropped on the floor then as nginx no longer knows that server. What can I add to the config so it slowly drops that server out of the pool and I can wait for current requests to complete.

  I read somewhere that the Ultimate Boot CD can diagnose computer problems. In this case would this program help me get my Windows XP back? When I turn on the screen and hit "Start Windows Normally" or go to Safe Mode I get a flash of the WinXP logo and then it goes to this error page.   I use Thunderbird 3 on Vista. I use it for 3 POP accounts. When I start work in the morning, all three accounts are checked at the same time, and all emails are being loaded simultaneously. I think Thunderbird is quite slow in general, and this behaviour makes it even worse. At least it makes me feel so. Can I tell Thunderbird to check the accounts and load the emails one after the other?

  Could someone please tell me, why Postfix sends each message twice? I noticed that one message is correctly send and the other may (or may not) have a problem with the encoding. To be honest i did some adjustments for virtual domains, users,.... but i cannot find why these configurations should not work. • Why is my computer using so much ram?

  I have 16gb of ram installed in my computer, and nearly 70% of it is used at all times. Looking at the processes in task manager the memory being used with everything in there doesn't even add up to 2gb. I have RAPID mode enabled on my ssd which may be using 2gb at most so I would understand that.   Hello, I'm looking for a way to make the popup toolbar menus on Windows XP's taskbar stay in place while you edit it, and only close when you tell it to--by clicking outside it, for example. Right now it disappears after each editing action--such as renaming a file or changing its position on the menu, and you have to click the again to pop the menu back up to do more editing.   I'd like to use screen to keep ssh sessions alive on my server. It would be nice if I could automatically resume any running session for my user when I log in.
