    I have some text data in database which I have retrieved in a Cursor, and I am displaying it in a ListView. What I want to do now is that when you select click a particular row in the list its text content should be displayed in full screen and the user should be able to scroll horizontally (like scrolling between iPhone home screens) to view the contents of the Cursor.

  • custom button: properties change, button should be redrawn

    Hi I'm developing an Android app. I have class derived from button to represent a special type of button. This special type has some properties (integers) and according to these one or more circles have to be drawn on top of the button. So I overrode the onDraw function, which looks the values up and accordingly draws the circles. But the class has a function to set new values for its properties. So new values are set but the changes are not reflected in the UI. It seems like the onDraw function is not called. When later I click the button or show a pop up message above my interface the onDraw function is called and the button is drawn correctly. So my question: when changing the properties how can I say that the button has to be redrawn? Thanks a lot!

  • Completely uninstalling both versions of XCode

    As usual I typed sudo Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all It uninstalled the first version (Beta) properly. Tried the same thing on the older Stable Version which I have installed to "XCode Stable" Getting this error Use of uninitialized value $dir_name in substitution (s///) at Library/uninstall-devtools line 153. Use of uninitialized value $developer_dir in concatenation (.) or string at Library/uninstall-devtools line 120 Anyone else facing this problem? Can I just trash the installation folder?

  • Reading iTunesMovies file in iPhone?

    Hi there. In iPhone, the iPod app saves the media files (audio, video) with strange names and in weird folders (F00,F01 etc). There is a file named iTunesMovies in iPhone, which contains all the information about the metadata of those video files and how they are to be displayed in iPod app. I copied that to my Mac also, and when i tried to open that file in textEdit, it showed some alien characters which made me believe that it is encrypted may be(Thats just a wild guess). I want to read/change the contents of that iTunesMovies file. Can i do that? Is there any Framework which deals with that iTunesMovies file? Thanks in advance

  • UIAlertView won't rotate to landscape even with applicationDidFinishLaunching call

    I am trying to use UIAlertView on my landscape right (home button on the right) app but it is showing up in portrait orientation. I have tried putting: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarOrientation: UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight animated: NO ]; in applicationDidFinishLaunching, but it doesn't work. Are there any other usual suspects to what might be causing this? I am setting the orientation through my plist file currently.

    I have written an application using opengl es view. Now I want to add a uitableview to display on the screen. However I am needing some guidance on how opengl es view and the other views play together nice. For example I have read some things that would lead me to think I need to pause the opengl view when the table is displayed. Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to make these things work together or just point me to the stackoverflow question that I can't find where some guy asked the same exact thing and got an answer :-)

    I'm trying to create an NSPredicate to find 'projects' that contain 'sessions' within a certain date range. I tried this at first: [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"ANY sessions.date BETWEEN {$STARTDATE, $ENDDATE}"]; But I get an exception: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'to-many key not allowed here' It seems BETWEEN does not work with ANY in this way. I'm also limited in use of () and AND clauses meaning I can't use something like: [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"ANY (sessions.date > $STARTDATE && sessions.date < $ENDDATE)"]; If I try that I get a parse error. How can I do this? Thanks UPDATE: Note that this: [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"ANY sessions.date > $STARTDATE && ANY sessions.date < $ENDDATE"]; Is incorrect because it returns a project where there is a session greater than the start date and another session less than the end date but no session in between.

My problem is that when I have finished to type my login and change the focus to the password field, there is a cursor on the login field and on the password field, but the focus is on the password field, so my question is, how can I make the cursor disappear on the login field ?   • iPhone: Remove annotation from MKMapView which is in another view

    I have two views. The first is a MKMapView with some annotations. Clicking a UIButton pushes a second view on the stack. This has a UITableView with a list of annotations which correspond to the map annotations. So, when you click the delete button, how can I call my MKMapView which is in another view, so that I can remove the annotation. My MKMapView is declared in my app delegate, as well as my current class.     Hi, I want to disable the annoying clicks that the UIPickerView generates upon scrolling up and down. Is there a way to do this? I want to play short sounds for each item that the picker view lands upon. It gets ruined by the built in sound. I understand that the picker sounds can be turned off globally by switching off the keyboard sounds in iPhone/iPod settings. But is there a way to programatically do this? However, I'm getting a CoreException ("Project target not loaded yet.") thrown when I attempt to call IProject.build on an Android project as part of a unit test: IProject project = importProject(...); project.build(IncrementalProjectBuilder.FULL_BUILD, monitor); Should I be waiting for the project target to load before calling the above? If so, what call should I use to poll the project target loading status?

  • XCode 3.2 does not mark unit test assert failures in the editor

    I've been off in Java land for about a month or so and now, upon returning to XCode I feel lost. I've upgraded 1st to 3.1.2 then recently to 3.2 and also got a new Mac with Snow Leopard so I'm not exactly sure when the problem surfaced. I just know that I used to get little red bubbles in my unit test next to the failing asserts and that no longer seems to happen. Is there a way to restore this? I've been trying to use Apple's own SenTesting framework instead of GoogleTools for mac like I used to. Should I revert to Google Tools? Does anyone have an answer?

  • NSSet to NSData, then back out again, for GameKit?

    Hi guys, I'm trying to do some image edit syncing between two of the same app running on different iPhones. I would like to send an NSSet * from one device to another (which I imagine involves encapsulating in NSData) then decrypting this back to an NSSet, then using it in a touchesMoved type of function. Is this feasible, or should I work on syncing the UIImages instead? I worry that UIImage syncing would have too much latency for realtime interaction. Thanks for your help!
