  • Unable to set TestContext property

    I have a visual studio 2008 Unit test and I'm getting the following runtime error: Unable to set TestContext property for the class JMPS.PlannerSuite.DataServices.MyUnitTest. Error: System.ArgumentException: Object of type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.TestTypes.Unit.UnitTestAdapterContext' cannot be converted to type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting.TestContext' I have read that VS 2008 does not properly update the references to the UnitTestFramework when converting 2005 projects. My unit test was created in 2008 but it inherits from a base class built in VS 2005. Is this where my problem is coming from? Does my base class have to be rebuilt in 2008? I would rather not do this as it will affect other projects. In other derived unit tests built in 2005, all that we needed to do was comment out the TestContext property in the derived unit test. I have tried this in the VS 2008 unit test with no luck. I have also tried to "new" the TestContext property which gives me a different runtime error. Any ideas?

    .load() was working fine, but for some reason it's not in Chrome now (presumably some kind of update). I'm on Chrome 5.0.375.55.     Trying to use use SharpSVN in an ASP.NET app. So far, it's been nothing but trouble. First, I kept getting permission errors on "lock" files (that don't exist), even though NETWORK SERVICE has full permissions on the directories. Finally in frustration I just granted Everyone full control. Now I get a new error: OPTIONS of 'https://server/svn/repo': authorization failed: Could not authenticate to server: rejected Basic challenge (https://server) This happens whether I have the DefaultCredentials set below or not: using (SvnClient client = new SvnClient()) { //client.Authentication.DefaultCredentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential("user", "password"); client.LoadConfiguration(@"C:\users\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Subversion"); SvnUpdateResult result; client.Update(workingdir, out result); } Any clues?   • Android: TabHost How To: set new content in existing tabs upon menu button?

    Hello stackoverflow, I recently started Android programming and was working on my first program which displays a historic text document, sectioned by tabs via TabHost. I have limited my program to one activity and merely used setContent in my TabSpec's to switch between different XML views. The document has both unedited and corrected versions of the text for which I have built text views to accommodate. I wanted to implement the standard menu to have buttons to "view corrected" and "view original" and switch the content of the tabs which have changes (without altering the tabs or their indicators). I've read on the TabHost API and there is no way to edit existing tab content with setContent() of TabSpec; and AFAIK TabWidget only affects the actual tabs, not the content that is displayed upon pressing them. I've thought about creating a new class which extended TabHost and super() all of the original methods, while including one more which updated the mTabSpec list. My question would be, how would I update the frameLayout view of a specific tab to display content I specify?

  • Android ProgressBar.setProgressDrawable only works once?

    In a color picker, I have 3 SeekBars for Hue, Saturation, and Value. Calling setProgressDrawable on these SeekBars only works once -- at initialization from onCreate. When the user updates the Hue SeekBar, I want to call setProgressDrawable for the Saturation and Value SeekBars, to show the user their color choices for the new Hue. But all calls to setProgressDrawable (after the initial ones from onCreate) cause the SeekBar to be blanked. How can I update the background gradient of my SeekBars based upon user input? Thanks!     I am working on something like this: On a webpage, there is an article wrapped in a DIV, an Edit button. When a user click on the Edit button, insert an textarea via javascript, load the html of the DIV into the textarea, load and initial tinymce. When the user click on the Save button, save and update the article via ajax, and destroy tinymce completely. The problem is that, I failed to destroy tinymce completely. When the user click on the Edit button again, a new tinymce instance will load while the old instance is just hidden. BTW, I am using the jQuery version of tinymce

  • Which datagrid to use for ASP.NET MVC2 project?

    Hi, I am developing a commercial MVC2 app that requires a grid that has callback update in some form to support 10,000+ rows. It should also support relatively rich content (icons, multiline descriptions etc). Although it requires the usual paging/scrolling/sorting features it does not need support for grouping. So nothing that special. The commercial grids I looked at were Component Art (http://www.componentart.com/products/aspnetmvc/datagrid/) and Telerik (http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-mvc/grid.aspx) which both look pretty good but may be a little OTT for what I need. They are also $800 and $999 respectively (1 developer). I've also looked at jqGrid (http://www.trirand.net/download.aspx) and the grid from MvcContrib. These appear ok but for a commercial app I am concerned that these may be risky options - though could be wrong there. I'd really appreciate any views/exprience on either the above grids or perhaps you can suggest a better option/approach. FYI I am using EF4 and C#. Cheers

    I have the following DataServiceQuery running agaist an ADO Data Service (with the update installed to make it run like .net 4): DataServiceQuery<Account> q = (_gsc.Users .Where(c => c.UserId == myId) .SelectMany(c => c.ConsumerXref) .Select(x => x.Account) .Where(a => a.AccountName == "My Account" && a.IsActive) .Select(a => a)) as DataServiceQuery<Account>; When I run it, I get an exception: Cannot specify query options (orderby, where, take, skip) on single resource As far as I can tell, I need to use a version of "SelectMany" that includes an additonal lambda expression (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb549040.aspx), but I am not able to get this to work correctly. Could someone show me how to properly structure the "SelectMany" call? Thank you for any help.

  • Can't open .svn/text-base/file.svn-base ?

    I'm using TortoiseSVN. I just made quite a few changes to my working copy and now I went to do a commit some of the files went through but at one file named Search.aspx.cs it says Commit failed (details follow): Can't open file 'C:\-----\trunk\.svn\text-base\Search.aspx.cs.svn-base': The system cannot find the file specified. I have tried doing a SVN update and SVN cleanup and nothing is restoring this file. I can't even create a diff because it gives a similar error about missing files. How do I fix this? What did I do to cause it?

My question here is how can I change my code so it uses it and updates when ResourceWrapper change. I tried: InfoLabel.Content = ((ResourceWrapper)App.Current.Resources["ResourceWrapper"]) .ApplicationStrings.SomeString but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

    In Android documentation describing "Configuring General Window Properties", it is suggested that specifying properties via XML is preferable whenever possible to avoid seeing the title bar flash. As an example, instead of setting Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE with requestWindowFeature, they set it to @android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar. Is there a similar way to set a custom title bar to be used in the XML? Update: I just found this article, according to which this article, the best way to draw a title bar is to ignore FEATURE_CUSTOM_TITLE and instead just draw the title bar as part of your main view. This would not only avoid the flashing, but also problems caused by padding.

  • Google Chrome: XMLHttpRequest.send() not working while doing POST.

    I'm working on an application that allows the user to send a file using a form (a POST request), and that executes a series of GET requests while that file is being uploaded to gather information about the state of the upload. It works fine in IE and Firefox, but not so much in Chrome and Safari. The problem is that even though send() is called on the XMLHttpRequest object, nothing is being requested as can be seen in Fiddler. To be more specific, an event handler is placed on the "submit" event of the form, that places a timeout function call on the window: window.setTimeout(startPolling, 10); and in this function "startPolling" sequence is started that keeps firing GET requests to receive status updates from a web service that returns text/json that can be used to update the UI. Is this a limitation (perhaps security-wise?) on WebKit based browsers? Is this a Chrome bug? (I'm seeing the same behaviour in Safari though).

I have to have a server admin update the feed to my liking, so if you can tell me how to get this to work as is, without adding tags to my HTML please let me know. I will be using this with jQuery, and ive been trying to use getJSON which is what returns null. $.getJSON('http://portlandonline.com/shared/cfm/json.cfm?c=27321',function(json){ alert(json); }); that returns null. But if i use a flickr feed for example, it works fine. it returns what it should, [onject Object]. Any ideas?

I would like to check all checkboxes in the column when I press the a button and uncheck all checkboxes when I press the another one. How can I do this?   • Zend_Form : Adding fields in sub-forms on user's click

    I'm having a zend form - comprised of a number of zend - sub forms, where the user is creating a new question (its a content management system). In one of the subforms, the user can click on a button to add more textfields, like this: [----------] [----------] [click to add more] which should give [----------] [----------] [----------] [click to add more] I'm trying to set a flag in the sub form in question - or set a count on how many times the button has been clicked, to add that many total fields to the subform - but its simply not working. I tried using a static count variable - but the value doesnt get incremented at all. Any thoughts on how to do this in a Zend-subform within a zend form? I'll definitely update if I hit a solution.   • jQuery issue - #<an Object> has no method

    I've tried a veriety of jQuery plugins recently and I keep getting this error … … regardless of what plugin I try to use. I've checked the links to the JS files which are all there and working fine. I'm using Drupal if that makes any difference. I've run the plugins away from the main site to demonstrate that they are working and that I am doing things right with 100% success. Any ideas?     I am trying to add an "KeyPress" event in a textbox (WinForm) this.textBox1.KeyPress += new System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventHandler(CheckKeys); and here's inside the 'CheckKeys': private void CheckKeys(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventArgs e) { if (e.KeyChar == (char)13) { // Enter is pressed - do something } } The idea here is that once a textbox is in focus and the 'Enter' button was pressed, something will happen... However, my machine cannot find the 'KeyPress' event. Is there something wrong with my codes? UPDATE: I also tried putting KeyDown instead of KeyPress: private void textBox1_KeyDown(object sender, System.Windows.Input.KeyEventArgs e) { if (e.Key == Key.Return) // Enter is pressed - do something } } Still not working though...

  • How to parse Json object in ASP classic passed from jQuery

    Using a jQuery dialog, on clicking OK I call $.post( "save.asp", { id: 1, value: "abcxyz" } ); to pass the values to my ASP classic file that will update the database. I don't need a return value (unless it fails). I'm a relative noob to jQuery, so I'm assuming I'm using JSON to pass the values to the ASP file. I just don't know what to do with them in ASP (using VBScript). I've seen things like ASP Extreme, but I'm not clear on how to use them. I've tried referencing values via the Request collection, but no luck. All I want to do is take the values passed, parse them out, then save them to the database. Sorry if this is a duplicate, but this just isn't clicking for me.

  • Using long polling with WinForms Clients in .NET

    Hi We need to develop a .NET application, basically a WinForms client, which needs to be notified of changes only from the server to update the UI only in case of necessity and not every time. We initially thought of NetTCPBinding but understood that it has problems with firewalls across domains and secure networks. We now consider long-polling as a viable option but we could only find this being used with WPF and XAML clients. For example, http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/duplexhttp But we could not find anything with WinForms. My opinion is that long-polling has to do with WCF and does not matter what UI technology is used (within .NET). Do you think it is possible to use long-polling with a custom WCF channel for WinForms? I am on the way to develop a POC but dont have much time. Any help in the right direction is much appreciated.
