    Hello, I have no access to the httpd.conf. How can I redirect the users if the type one folder more like - http://www.example.com/folder/folder2/ -- redirect 404 to the main page. The users should only have access to this root http://www.example.com/link+custom1+custom2/ and if they type something like that http://www.example.com/link+custom1+custom2/onemorefolder/orTwo/ -- redirect how can I do that only with .htaccess and without php?

    Hi everyone, I have changed the Configure::write('Security.salt', '############'); value in the file config/core.php file to a '256-bit hex key'. Is it safe or a good practice to change these lines for every different installation of cakephp application or shall I revert back to the original ? I also changed the Configure::write('Security.cipherSeed','7927237598237592759727'); to a different one of more length. Please throw some light on this. Thanks

    Hi, we have a collection of FLV files, to be displayed by FlowPlayer flash-app in a website. The scripts and handling of data are done with Apache/MySQL/PHP. As the video files are static files they should be served by a more static oriented webserver like lighttpd or nginx, like it's done with photos. What's the best webserver for serving video?     Hi, I've configured my emacs to use M-j as backward-char by (global-set-key (kbd "M-j") 'backward-char) ; was indent-new-comment-line in my .emacs file. This works fine in many modes (text/org/lisp). But in c++-mode & php-mode it is bound to the default c-indent-new-comment-line How can I bind M-j to use backward-char in these modes too. As I'm generating the javascript and trying to validate it, it gives me an error saying that JS is not installed on the thank you page, which makes sense, because its content is not loaded yet.   • Can Apache httpd be made to log errors to console instead of log files under Windows?

    I'm doing infrequent development with Apache/PHP on my Windows machine so I've opted to run apache as a console process instead of a service. It would be nice if errors could be logged to the console window instead of a logfile so I can see them immediately. Can this be done somehow? It doesn't seem that apache has such a capability built in and I can't find a mod that would do this either.
