• Set the caret/cursor position to the end of the string value WPF textbox

  I am try to set the caret/cursor position to the end of the string value in my WPF textbox when I open my window for the first time. I use the FocusManager to set the focus on my textbox when my window opens. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? • Position an icon on the right in the middle of a list item

  I have the following code which prints an img if the current page is selected. • CSS sliding-door buttons center alignment

  Hi guys, I need help to align CSS buttons. I tried many different variations and I just cannot center my button the way I want. Firstly, have a look at this url: http://www.front-end-developer.net/cssbuttons/example.htm I'm using 2 images to form a button (this could be done on 1 image, but in this case we've got two). Everything works as expected as long as we apply float:left or float:right to the parent div element, to 'limit' width of the div and close it as soon as the content of the div ends. You can remove float:left from the button to see what I mean. But what about center positioned buttons? I cannot add float:left/right because I want align it in the middle. In theory, I could set { width:XXpx; margin:0 auto; } And I will get what you can see on this picture: But I don't know the length of the text inside. Having different translations my button can be very short, or 5 times that long. I also tried to use <span> instead of <div>, but unfortunately nested inline elements don't respect their padding correctly... And yes, I must use <a> inside, so buttons can be accessed by web crawlers. I'm really stuck on this one.

• Programmatically Add Controls to WPF Form

  I am trying to add controls to a UserControl dynamically (programatically). I get a generic List of objects from my Business Layer (retrieved from the database), and for each object, I want to add a Label, and a TextBox to the WPF UserControl and set the Position and widths to make look nice, and hopefully take advantage of the WPF Validation capabilities. This is something that would be easy in Windows Forms programming but I'm new to WPF. I tried setting margin-bottom: -106px on the "container" div but that didn't change the height of the "container" div.. The "content" div will have varied height as it's obviously for text, etc. Is there any way of making this work? Thanks in advance :)

• WPF TexBox TwoWay Binding Problem when ValidationRules used

  I seem to have a problem with TwoWay DataBinding - my application has a window with a bunch of textboxes that allow to edit values of the properties they are bound to. Everything works well except for textboxes that also have a validation rule defined, in which case no text is displayed in the textbox when the window opens (binding back-to-source still works fine for those). If I remove Validation rule, everything's back to normal. I searched for an answer to this for a few hours now, but somehow did not even find anyone else complaining of the same issue. I am completely new to WPF, and I am sure it is just a silly mistake I have somewhere in my code... • Why are my descenders being cut off when using CSS @font-face?

  I'm using the Google webfonts API to embed Droid Sans on a page. All is fine, except for the descenders (i.e. the dangly bits on y, g, etc). I still want the combobox to have a two-way bind between its selected item and a property on the collection of objects... I have the following in code: PitcherListBox.DataContext = this; Basically in the end, I want the combobox within the listbox to have a different itemssource than the listbox itself. My problem is i need the 'OnClick="PruebaBrava' to execute before the overlay shows. If i use a button instead of a LinkButton it works perfectly but i need to use the linkbutton and with it that event is not firing. What can i do? Thankyou all very much for your answers ;)

I suppose I could do something along the lines of setting CSS rules for .gwt-Tree > div but that seems hacky. Is there a more elegant way?

• Continue overflow:auto behavior when page is resized smaller, instead of shifting to the side?

  Sorry if the title was confusing; I've included some screen shots to more clearly explain my problem. I have a page that has a side navigation menu on the left, and a main div (with the tables) on the right: When the page is resized to be smaller, the "overflow-x:auto" property of the "main" div brings up a horizontal scrollbar: However, when the window becomes narrow to the point that the "main" div reaches the border of the side navigation menu (with the title "Contents"), the "main" div ceases to continue producing the horizontal scrollbar and instead meshes with the menu: Here is the CSS for the "main" div: #main { height: 100%; width: 65%; min-width: 10%; float:right; overflow-y: auto; overflow-x: auto; padding: 0 20px 20px;} and the left side menu: #sidenav{ margin-left: 20px; float: left; overflow-x:auto; overflow-y:auto;} Both of those divs are encapsulated together in "container": .container { bottom: 20px; left: 0; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 50px; } How can I rewrite my code in such a way that the "main" div will continue to use its horizontal scrollbar, and never cross the boundary of the side navigation menu? • jQuery and XHTML layout problems in ie7

  Hi there, I am back again with more layout problems on my up and coming website. I am able to achieve the proper animation, positioning and results with my layout / splash on every modern browser (excluding ie7 or older). I have an image in the center of the page, that is text-align: center'd, and pushed to a vertical center by having a div (#SPLASH_HEAD) set to 50% on the top half of the page. The loading animation changes the height of #SPLASH_HEAD to 0px, to drag the image to the top (and then do other things). In ie7 (or compatability mode), it appears that there is an error in jquery-1.4.2.min.js, line 116 char 165 (which I dont think has anything to do with the actual jQuery file itself). The splash is not centered either vertically (#SPLASH_HEAD does not register at 50% of window height) and is not centered properly with margin-left. Also, none of the other elements are hidden properly (with .hide()) as ie7 does not appear to be loading all of my jQuery / javascript. heres a link: www.voidsync.com/test (it would be easier to view the source on there) thanks!

This is working great however when i try to do things with the first x number of items it is doing it on the x number of items in each group rather than across the whole set of results. • Getting proper indentation using XMLBuilder in a helper

  I'm attempting to use a view helper to create some dynamic links based on if you're logged in or not. What I want returned, for sake of easy code readability, is: <ul class="right"> <li><a href="#">Login</a></li> <li><a href="#">Register</a></li> </ul> In the view helper I have this Ruby code: def loginh xm = Builder::XmlMarkup.new(:indent=>2, :margin=>4) xm.ul("class" => "right") { xm.li('class' => 'text') { xm.text("test") } } end In the view, the line that calls login helper is already indented 4 levels. Because of this, the first line gets 'skewed', so in the view I have: <%= loginh %> Which results in: <ul class="right"> <li class="text"> <text>test</text> </li> </ul> You can see it works perfectly, except for the first line. It would appear that the first line is affected by the indent before <%= loginh % is called. I can easily remedy this by removing the indentation prior to <%= loginh % - but in essence I'd be sacrificing code readability for markup readability. Which isn't what I'm looking to do. Is there any way I could remove the beginning whitespace?
