  • Limiting user access to local Gitorious repository

    - by thanos
I have installed and configured in private server a local git repository using Gitorious. The problem I am facing is that when I set up a new Gitorious project and limit read access permissions to specific users, the repositories inside the project are not visible any more. This happens even though the access permissions of those repositories grant access to these users. Any idea on how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Gitosis post-update wont run

    - by Andy
Im running cygwin on a windows vista pc. Ive successfully installed sshd, configured, and built gitosis. I can remotely git clone the gitosis-admin.git repository, made a change to the config, committed and pushed back to cygwin machine successfully. However the post-update doesnt execute and the new repository (as specified in the config) have not created. I have run: chmod 755 /home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/hooks/post-update and an ls -l shows the following: -rwxr-xr-x 1 git None 69 2010-04-13 22:55 post-update yet, when I run: ./post-update I receive the following error: ERROR:gitosis.run_hook:Must have GIT_DIR set in enviroment Ive included in my git .bashrc the line: GIT_DIR=$HOME/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ and if I type Set at the prompt, I can see: GIT_DIR=/home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ What else can I try, because Im running out of ideas.

  • Installing MonoDevelop on Suse Enterprise 10.0

    - by Robert Harvey
I tried to install MonoDevelop on Suse 11.0 Enterprise, using the 1-click install on the MonoDevelop download page, but quickly wound up in a tangle of missing dependencies. I then tried using the Suse software repositories to get MonoDevelop, and waded through several of the dependencies for awhile trying to get the necessary packages to fulfill the dependencies, but some of the packages in the Suse repositories actually appear to be missing the needed RPM files. Are these repositories no longer being actively maintained? I am aware that there is a CD on the Mono site (called the Mono LiveCD) that appears to contain a complete installation of the development environment, as well as a DVD for OpenSuse 11.2 (on the OpenSuse site) that might actually have all of the Mono software already installed. But the target environment for the utility I am writing is Suse 11.0 Enterprise Server. Does that matter? What is the shortest distance between two points here?

  • How to use Dependency Injection with ASP.NET

    - by Schneider
I am trying to work out a way to use Dependency Injection with ASP.NET controls. I have got lots of controls that create repositories directly, and use those to access and bind to data etc. I am looking for a pattern where I can pass repositories to the controls externally (IoC), so my controls remain unaware of how repositories are constructed and where they come from etc. I would prefer not to have a dependency on the IoC container from my controls, therefore I just want to be able to construct the controls with constructor or property injection. (And just to complicate things, these controls are being constructed and placed on the page by a CMS at runtime!) Any thoughts?

  • BASIC on Ubuntu

    - by Tim Lytle
Was asked by a new Ubuntu user - who also wants to learn about programming - what he could use to run BASIC code. He was working through a BASIC book before trying out Ubuntu, and he'd like to continue without having to switch back to Windows. It looks like there are a few BASIC packages in the standard repositories, as well as projects like Mono which may include some kind of BASIC support. What would be a good recommendation from the standard repositories - or from a deb package - for someone learning the basics of BASIC and new to Ubuntu?

  • Blu-ray player?

    - by Dox
I'd like to play bluray discs in my laptop. I found the official documentation, and there it's explained that one should use mplayer and ffmpeg. Looking at the repositories, there exist two different mplayer packages (in conflict with each other) mplayer mplayer2 Any ideas with of them should I install? On the other hand the official documentation seems to be out of date since no mention to Ubuntu after 9.04 is done. Does the DumpHD package from the repositories work? Finally, Where could the keydb.cfg keys be found? I'm open to suggestions, specially of people who had done the job of making it work. Cheers

  • Bzr to git migration

    - by Sardathrion
I am planning to do two things on several large (several gigs) and old (several years) repositories: Move from bzr to git without losing the commit history. Restructure all the repositories either using bzr or git. This will involve moving files/directories from one repository to another with its change history. Doing both at once would be foolish (I think!) but I am not sure which one should be done first. Any suggestions? Anything I should watch out for when migrating/restructuring?

  • How should I set up UDK with Git and CruiseControl?

    - by Martin Sojka
For a new project in UDK, I'd like to set up a Git repository for version control and a CruiseControl.NET-based continuous integration solution. The good news is that he first part seems easy enough and CruiseControl.NET can work off Git repositories. The bad news is that according to my searches, nobody has ever tried to do this. Ideally, I'm looking for a step-by-step guide on how to set up such a development environment assuming more than one development computer, one central repository for the "master" branch, and one machine for building and packaging the binaries via CruiseControl.NET. • EntityRepository not found [migrated]

    - by PachinSV
    I'm new in Doctrine, I'm following the examples in the documentation. I created my entities and everything is working fine until I created a Repository. I have an entity called User and a UserRepository. But when I try to use the User repository I get the error message: Fatal error: Class 'Doctrine\ORM\EntityRepository' not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\excap\repositories\UserRepository.php on line 10 use Doctrine\ORM\EntityRepository; /** * Description of UserRepository * * @author Mario */ class UserRepository extends EntityRepository { How can I solved this? <?php //bootstrap_doctrine.php $isDevMode = true; use Doctrine\ORM\Tools\Setup; require_once 'vendor/autoload.php'; $config = Setup::createAnnotationMetadataConfiguration(array(__DIR__.'/entities'), $isDevMode); $conn = array( 'driver' => 'pdo_mysql', 'user' => 'mydbuser', 'password' => 'mydbpassword', 'dbname' => 'mydbname' ); $entityManager = \Doctrine\ORM\EntityManager::create($conn, $config); ?> <?php //boostrap.php //Entities require_once 'entities/User.php'; require_once 'entities/Gender.php'; require_once 'entities/AccessPoint.php'; //Repositories require_once 'repositories/UserRepository.php'; if(!class_exists("Doctrine\Common\Version", FALSE)) { require_once 'bootstrap_doctrine.php'; } ?> <?php // autoload.php generated by Composer if (!class_exists('Composer\\Autoload\\ClassLoader', false)) { require __DIR__ .   • Syncing WM6 <-> Evolution.... opensync-module-python missing?

    - by luri
I'm trying to install opensync-plugin-synce to sync my wm6 phone with Evolution, but when I try (from synaptic, also with ap-get), is: Depende: opensync-module-python but it is not installable In fact, I haven't found opensync-module-python in repositories. Any hint? Is there any way to sync WM6 and Evolution (preferably without intermediate online syncs as Gmail, for instance)? Update: opensync-module-python exists in the repositories for previous versions of Ubuntu (mine is 10.10).... could I install it from there or would I ruin something? Update: should I mark this as impossible? Seems to be no way to sync WM6 phone with Evolution right now....

  • How do I get Bibletime 2.91 running on 12.04?

    - by To Do
I would like to install the latest version of Bibletime (2.9.1) on my computer because the version in the official repositories (2.8.1) has a bug with the "Mag" feature. I had installed 2.9.1 on 12.04 32 bit through one of the following ppa's: ppa:pkgcrosswire/ppa ppa:pkgcrosswire/developer-testing Now on an Ubuntu 12.04.1 64 bit, I'm getting a dependency issue. It seems that it depends on libsword8 but it should actually depend on libsword9 which is available in the repositories. See http://sword-dev.350566.n4.nabble.com/Ubuntu-12-04-td4577002.html Can someone help me install this app please? EDIT: apt-get install -f bibletime yields the following: The following packages have unmet dependencies: bibletime : Depends: libsword8 (>= 1.6.2+dfsg) but it is not installable Depends: bibletime-data (= 2.9.1-0ubuntu0~r70~precise1) but 2.9.1-1~ppa2~precise is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

  • Unable to initialize gitosis-init

I was tried to setup git and gitosis for our projects. For the gitosis setup, I'm following this article http://scie.nti.st/2007/11/14/hosting-git-repositories-the-easy-and-secure-way as this is first time using git. I got an issue when I run the gitosis-init. I don't know what happen or how to check. Please help me on what I need to check or do. In fact, I don't even know whether this is a problem as I just started using Linux, git and etc. Reinitialized existing Git repository in /home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ Reinitialized existing Git repository in /home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/gitosis-init", line 8, in <module> load_entry_point('gitosis==0.2', 'console_scripts', 'gitosis-init')() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gitosis-0.2-py2.5.egg/gitosis/app.py", line 24, in run return app.main() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gitosis-0.2-py2.5.egg/gitosis/app.py", line 38, in main self.handle_args(parser, cfg, options, args) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gitosis-0.2-py2.5.egg/gitosis/init.py", line 140, in handle_args run_hook.post_update(cfg=cfg, git_dir=admin_repository) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gitosis-0.2-py2.5.egg/gitosis/run_hook.py", line 40, in post_update path=os.path.join(generated, 'projects.list'), File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gitosis-0.2-py2.5.egg/gitosis/gitweb.py", line 109, in generate_project_list f = file(tmp, 'w') IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/home/git/gitosis/projects.list.30470.tmp' Thanks in advance.

  • Virtualmin & git integration

    - by weby3456
I've installed virtualmin on my VPS to manage my websites. It's working perfect and as expected nearly a year now. Recently I wanted to add some features to one of my sites, and I need git integration. I've correctly installed git & gitweb on my server, and I can create repositories and watch them under http://sub.domain.com/git/gitweb.cgi Here is the current relevant directory tree: /home/user/domains/sub.domain.com/public_html/git/ drwxr-sr-x user user . drwxr-x--- user user .. -rw-r--r-- user user git-favicon.png -rw-r--r-- user user git-logo.png -rwxr-xr-x user user gitweb.cgi -rw-r--r-- user user gitweb.css drwxrwx--- apache user reponame.git /home/user/domains/sub.domain.com/public_html/git/reponame.git/ drwxrwx--- apache user . drwxr-sr-x user user .. drwxrwx--- apache user branches -rwxrwx--- apache user config -rwxrwx--- user user description -rwxrwx--- apache user HEAD drwxrwx--- apache user hooks drwxrwx--- apache user info drwxrwx--- apache user objects drwxrwx--- apache user refs But I have some questions: When I'm visiting http://sub.domain.com/git/gitweb.cgi, the owner is listed as 'Apache'. why? how can I change that? Usually, to create a new git repository, I'll do something like: $ mkdir proj $ cd proj $ git init Initialized empty Git repository in /home/user/proj/.git/ // here I'm creating the files or copy them from somewhere else $ git add *.php $ git add README $ git commit -m 'initial version' But after creating the repository in virtualmin, I can find a new dir named 'reponame.git' but not the '.git' dir. When I'm trying to run any git command (e.g. git status) I'm receiving "fatal: This operation must be run in a work tree". How can I work with that repository? Currently I need to explicitly grant access for users to be able to view the repositories via gitweb. How can I make certain repositories public?

  • Subversion all or nothing access to repo tree

    - by Glader
I'm having some problems setting up access to my Subversion repositories on a Linux server. The problem is that I can only seem to get an all-or-nothing structure going. Either everyone gets read access to everything or noone gets read or write access to anything. The setup: SVN repos are located in /www/svn/repoA,repoB,repoC... Repositories are served by Apache, with Locations defined in etc/httpd/conf.d/subversion.conf as: <Location /svn/repoA> DAV svn SVNPath /var/www/svn/repoA AuthType Basic AuthName "svn repo" AuthUserFile /var/www/svn/svn-auth.conf AuthzSVNAccessFile /var/www/svn/svn-access.conf Require valid-user </Location> <Location /svn/repoB> DAV svn SVNPath /var/www/svn/repoB AuthType Basic AuthName "svn repo" AuthUserFile /var/www/svn/svn-auth.conf AuthzSVNAccessFile /var/www/svn/svn-access.conf Require valid-user </Location> ... svn-access.conf is set up as: [/] * = [/repoA] * = userA = rw [/repoB] * = userB = rw But checking out URL/svn/repoA as userA results in Access Forbidded. Changing it to [/] * = userA = r [/repoA] * = userA = rw [/repoB] * = userB = rw gives userA read access to ALL repositories (including repoB) but only read access to repoA! so in order for userA to get read-write access to repoB i need to add [/] userA = rw which is mental. I also tried changing Require valid-user to Require user userA for repoA in subversion.conf, but that only gave me read access to it. I need a way to default deny everyone access to every repository, giving read/write access only when explicitly defined. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I have spent a couple of hours testing and googling but come up empty, so now I'm doing the post of shame.

  • Setting SVN permissions with Dav SVN Authz

    - by Ken
There seems to be a path inheritance issue which is boggling me over access restrictions. For instance, if I grant rw access one group/user, and wish to restrict it some /../../secret to none, it promptly spits in my face. Here is an example of what I'm trying to achieve in dav_svn.authz [groups] grp_W = a, b, c, g grp_X = a, d, f, e grp_Y = a, e, [/] * = @grp_Y = rw [somerepo1:/projectPot] @grp_W = rw [somerepo2:/projectKettle] @grp_X = rw What is expected: grp_Y has rw access to all repositories, while grp_W and grp_X only have access to their respective repositories. What occurs: grp_Y has access to all repositories, while grp_W and grp_X have access to nothing If I flip the access ordering where I give everyone access and restrict it in each repository, it promply ignores the invalidation rule (stripping of rights) and gives everyone the access granted at the root level. Forgoing groups, it performs the same with user specific provisions; even fully defined such as: [/] a = rw b = c = d = e = f = g = rw [somerepo1:/projectPot] a = rw b = rw c = rw d = e = rw f = g = rw [somerepo2:/projectKettle] a = rw b c d = rw e = rw f = rw g Which yields the exact same result. According to the documentation I'm following all protocols so this is insane. Running on Apache2 with dav_svn

  • Git clone/push/pull - where's that username comes from?

    - by Kuroki Kaze
I've set up gitosis and able to pull/push through ssh. Gitosis is installed on Debian Lenny server, I'm using git from windows machine (msysgit). The strange thing, if I enable loglevel = DEBUG in gitosis.conf, I see something like this when doing any actions with gitosis server: D:\Kaze\source\test-project>git pull origin master DEBUG:gitosis.serve.main:Got command "git-upload-pack 'test_project.git'" DEBUG:gitosis.access.haveAccess:Access check for '[email protected]' as 'writable' on 'test_project.git'... DEBUG:gitosis.access.haveAccess:Stripping .git suffix from 'test_project.git', new value 'test_project' DEBUG:gitosis.group.getMembership:found '[email protected]' in 'test' DEBUG:gitosis.access.haveAccess:Access ok for '[email protected]' as 'writable' on 'test_project' DEBUG:gitosis.access.haveAccess:Using prefix 'repositories' for 'test_project' DEBUG:gitosis.serve.main:Serving git-upload-pack 'repositories/test_project.git' From 192.168.175.128:test_project * branch master -> FETCH_HEAD Already up-to-date. Question is: why am I *[email protected]? This email is in global user.email config variable, too. Yesterday, when the gitosis was installed, it seen me as [email protected], this is the name under which I was added to gitosis-admin group (and it worked). But today git (or gitosis) started to see me as [email protected] This is true for all repositories I push or clone. I had to add this address to gitosis.conf directly on server to be able to edit configs again (it worked). There is 2 public keys in keydir: [email protected] and [email protected], their content is identical and they have [email protected] at end. Origin URL looks like [email protected]:test_project. Now, the question is - why Git (or gitosis) suddenly decided to call me by email instead of [email protected]? I've changed a couple things trying to set up Gitosis (updated git on server to 1.6.0 for example), but maybe I broke something in my local git installation?

  • Permission problem with Git (over SSH) on FreeBSD

    - by vpetersson
We're having permission problem with Git on FreeBSD. The setup is fairly straight forward. We have a few different repos on the same server. For simplicity, let's say they reside in /git/repo1 and /git/repo2. Each repo is owned by the user 'git' and a self-titled group (eg. repo1). The repo is configured with g+rwX access. Every user who commits to the repository is also member of the group for the repo (eg. repo1). The Git repositories all have 'sharedRepository = group' set. So far so good, all users can check out the code from the repositories, and the first user can commit without any problem. However, when the next user tries to commit to the repositories, he will receive a permission error. We've been banging our heads with this issue for some time now, and the only way we've managed to resolve it is by running the following script between commits (which is obviously very inconvenient): find /git/repo1 -type d -exec chmod g+s {} \; chmod -R g+rwX /git/repo1 chown -R git:repo1 /git/repo1/ cd /git/repo1 git gc Anyone got a clue to where the problem lies?

  • Controlling clone access to multiple mercurial repos served via hgwebdir.cgi

    - by chrislawlor
I'm trying to host multiple hg repositories to use for my clients. I need to control access to each repository individually - not just push access, but clone as well. I've got an .htaccess set which requires authentication globally: AuthUserFile /path/to/hgweb.passwd AuthGroupFile /dev/null AuthName "Chris Lawlor Client Mercurial Repositories" AuthType Basic <Limit GET POST PUT> Require valid-user </Limit> <FilesMatch "\.(htaccess|passwd|config|bak)$"> Order Allow,Deny Deny from all </FilesMatch> Then in each repository, I've got a .hg/hgrc file requiring a valid user [web] allow_push = <comma seperated user list> This almost does what I need. The problem is that I need to add ALL my clients to hgweb.passwd, which gives them clone access to ALL of the repositories. The only solution I can think of is to have another .htaccess and .passwd file in EACH repository. I don't really want to do that though, seems a little convoluted. I can already specify a list of authorized users for each repository in that repos' hgrc file with the allow_push setting. If only there were an allow_clone setting as well... All the documentation I've found for hgwebdir.cgi is incomplete. I've read: http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/HgWebDirStepByStep http://hgbook.red-bean.com/read/collaborating-with-other-people.html#sec:collab:cgi http://hgbook.red-bean.com/read/collaborating-with-other-people.html And others. I've yet to find a comprehensive list of hgrc settings. I guess this is as much an Apache question than a mercurial question. Unless I can find a better approach, I'll be going with a seperate .htaccess and .passwd file for each repo. This is a virtual host on Webfaction if it matters - set up roughly like this http://docs.webfaction.com/software/mercurial.html

  • gitweb- fatal: not a git repository

    - by Robert Mason
So I have set up a simple server running debian stable (squeeze), and have configured git. Using gitolite, I have all functionality (at least the basic clone/push/pull/commit) working. Installation of gitweb went without any issues. • correct file permissions for trac and git user to access gitolite server repos

    - by klemens
hi, sounds like a stupid questions (to me), but i couldn't find any info. on my server i host some git repositories via gitolite, and have a trac for every repository. i have a user called git to push/pull from server (git clone [email protected]:repo). and trac is a apache vhost with mod_wsgi. this runs with the www-data user. so what riddles me (maybe because I have not much of a clue about file-permissions at all) is whats the best permissions setup (chown, chmod) for the git repositories (/home/git/repositories/...). www-data (or trac) needs to at least read permissions (i think). and git (or gitolite) needs obviously read/write permissions to push changesets. i tried a little bit around (i.e. adding www-data and/or git to the www-data/git group), but didn't got it right. at least one of the two don't work (git or trac). any suggestions are highly appreciated. regard, klemens

  • Restrict access to one SVN repository (overwrite default)

    - by teel
I'm trying to set up our SVN server so that by default the group developers will have access to all repositories, but I want to override that setting on some certain repositories where I want to allow access only to single defined users (or separate groups) The current configuration is SVN + WebDAV on Apache2. All my repositories are located at /var/lib/svn/ In dav_svn.authz I currently have [/] @developers = rw @users = r Now I want to add one repository (let's call it secret_repo) that would only allow access to one user who is also a member of the developers group.¨ I tried to do [secret_repo:/] * = secret_user = rw Where secret_user is the user I'd like to give access to the repository, but it doesn't seem to work. Currently the server is using Apache's LDAP module to authenticate users from our active directory domain and I'd like to keep it that way if possible. Also I seem to be able to browse all my repos freely with any web browser, which I'd like to block. Second problem is that I have webSVN on the server, which is using Apache's LDAP authentication. Everyone who is a member of our domain can access it, so I'd like to hide this secret_repo from websvn listing. It's configured not with parentPath("/var/lib/svn");. Do I really need to remove that and add every repository separately, except the ones I want to hide?

  • Unable to resolve class in build.gradle using Android Studio 0.60/Gradle 0.11

    Established app working fine using Android Studio 0.5.9/ Gradle 0.9 but upgrading to Android Studio 0.6.0/ Gradle 0.11 causes the error below. Somehow Studio seems to have lost the ability to resolve the android tools import at the top of the build.gradle file. Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this? build file 'Users/[me]/Repositories/[project]/[module]/build.gradle': 1: unable to resolve class com.android.builder.DefaultManifestParser @ line 1, column 1. import com.android.builder.DefaultManifestParser 1 error at org.codehaus.groovy.control.ErrorCollector.failIfErrors(ErrorCollector.java:302) at org.codehaus.groovy.control.CompilationUnit.applyToSourceUnits(CompilationUnit.java:858) at org.codehaus.groovy.control.CompilationUnit.doPhaseOperation(CompilationUnit.java:548) at org.codehaus.groovy.control.CompilationUnit.compile(CompilationUnit.java:497) at groovy.lang.GroovyClassLoader.doParseClass(GroovyClassLoader.java:306) at groovy.lang.GroovyClassLoader.parseClass(GroovyClassLoader.java:287) at org.gradle.groovy.scripts.internal.DefaultScriptCompilationHandler.compileScript(DefaultScriptCompilationHandler.java:115) ... 77 more 2014-06-09 10:15:28,537 [ 92905] INFO - .BaseProjectImportErrorHandler - Failed to import Gradle project at '/Users/[me]/Repositories/[project]' org.gradle.tooling.BuildException: Could not run build action using Gradle distribution 'http://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-1.12-all.zip'. at org.gradle.tooling.internal.consumer.ResultHandlerAdapter.onFailure(ResultHandlerAdapter.java:53) at org.gradle.tooling.internal.consumer.async.DefaultAsyncConsumerActionExecutor$1$1.run(DefaultAsyncConsumerActionExecutor.java:57) at org.gradle.internal.concurrent.DefaultExecutorFactory$StoppableExecutorImpl$1.run(DefaultExecutorFactory.java:64) [project]/[module]/build.gradle import com.android.builder.DefaultManifestParser apply plugin: 'android-sdk-manager' apply plugin: 'android' android { sourceSets { main { manifest.srcFile 'src/main/AndroidManifest.xml' res.srcDirs = ['src/main/res'] } debug { res.srcDirs = ['src/debug/res'] } release { res.srcDirs = ['src/release/res'] } } compileSdkVersion 19 buildToolsVersion '19.0.0' defaultConfig { minSdkVersion 14 targetSdkVersion 19 } signingConfigs { release } buildTypes { release { runProguard false proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.txt' signingConfig signingConfigs.release applicationVariants.all { variant -> def file = variant.outputFile def manifestParser = new DefaultManifestParser() def wmgVersionCode = manifestParser.getVersionCode(android.sourceSets.main.manifest.srcFile) println wmgVersionCode variant.outputFile = new File(file.parent, file.name.replace("-release.apk", "_" + wmgVersionCode + ".apk")) } } } packagingOptions { exclude 'META-INF/LICENSE.txt' exclude 'META-INF/NOTICE.txt' } } def Properties props = new Properties() def propFile = file('signing.properties') if (propFile.canRead()){ props.load(new FileInputStream(propFile)) if (props!=null && props.containsKey('STORE_FILE') && props.containsKey('STORE_PASSWORD') && props.containsKey('KEY_ALIAS') && props.containsKey('KEY_PASSWORD')) { println 'RELEASE BUILD SIGNING' android.signingConfigs.release.storeFile = file(props['STORE_FILE']) android.signingConfigs.release.storePassword = props['STORE_PASSWORD'] android.signingConfigs.release.keyAlias = props['KEY_ALIAS'] android.signingConfigs.release.keyPassword = props['KEY_PASSWORD'] } else { println 'RELEASE BUILD NOT FOUND SIGNING PROPERTIES' android.buildTypes.release.signingConfig = null } }else { println 'RELEASE BUILD NOT FOUND SIGNING FILE' android.buildTypes.release.signingConfig = null } repositories { maven { url 'https://repo.commonsware.com.s3.amazonaws.com' } maven { url 'https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/' } } dependencies { compile 'com.github.gabrielemariotti.changeloglib:library:1.4.+' compile 'com.google.code.gson:gson:2.2.4' compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services:+' compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:+' compile 'com.squareup.okhttp:okhttp:1.5.+' compile 'com.octo.android.robospice:robospice:1.4.11' compile 'com.octo.android.robospice:robospice-cache:1.4.11' compile 'com.octo.android.robospice:robospice-retrofit:1.4.11' compile 'com.commonsware.cwac:security:0.1.+' compile 'com.readystatesoftware.sqliteasset:sqliteassethelper:+' compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:19.+' compile 'uk.co.androidalliance:edgeeffectoverride:1.0.1+' compile 'de.greenrobot:eventbus:2.2.1+' compile project(':captureActivity') compile ('de.keyboardsurfer.android.widget:crouton:1.8.+') { exclude group: 'com.google.android', module: 'support-v4' } compile files('libs/CWAC-LoaderEx.jar') }

  • Unity and Object Creation

    - by William
    I am using unity as my IoC container. I am trying to implement a type of IProviderRepository. The concrete implementation has a constructor that accepts a type of IRepository. When I remove the constructor parameter from the concrete implementation everything works fine. I am sure the container is wired correctly. When I try to create the concrete object with the constructor I receive the following error: "The current build operation (build key Build Key[EMRGen.Infrastructure.Data.IRepository1[EMRGen.Model.Provider.Provider], null]) failed: The current type, EMRGen.Infrastructure.Data.IRepository1[EMRGen.Model.Provider.Provider], is an interface and cannot be constructed. Are you missing a type mapping? (Strategy type BuildPlanStrategy, index 3)". Is it possible to achieve the above mention functionality with Unity? Namely have Unity infer a concrete type from the Interface and also inject the constructor of the concrete type with the appropriate concrete object based on constructor parameters. Below is sample of my types defined in Unity and a skeleton class listing for what I want to achieve. IProviderRepository is implemented by ProviderRepository which has a constructor that expects a type of IRepository. <typeAlias alias="ProviderRepositoryInterface" type="EMRGen.Model.Provider.IProviderRepository, EMRGen.Model" /> <typeAlias alias="ProviderRepositoryConcrete" type="EMRGen.Infrastructure.Repositories.Providers.ProviderRepository, EMRGen.Infrastructure.Repositories" /> <typeAlias alias="ProviderGenericRepositoryInterface" type="EMRGen.Infrastructure.Data.IRepository`1[[EMRGen.Model.Provider.IProvider, EMRGen.Model]], EMRGen.Infrastructure" /> <typeAlias alias="ProviderGenericRepositoryConcrete" type="EMRGen.Infrastructure.Repositories.EntityFramework.ApplicationRepository`1[[EMRGen.Model.Provider.Provider, EMRGen.Model]], EMRGen.Infrastructure.Repositories" /> <!-- Provider Mapping--> <typeAlias alias="ProviderInterface" type="EMRGen.Model.Provider.IProvider, EMRGen.Model" /> <typeAlias alias="ProviderConcrete" type="EMRGen.Model.Provider.Doctor, EMRGen.Model" /> //Illustrate the call being made inside my class public class PrescriptionService { PrescriptionService() { IUnityContainer uc = UnitySingleton.Instance.Container; UnityServiceLocator unityServiceLocator = new UnityServiceLocator(uc); ServiceLocator.SetLocatorProvider(() => unityServiceLocator); IProviderRepository pRepository = ServiceLocator.Current.GetInstance<IProviderRepository>(); } } public class GenericRepository<IProvider> : IRepository<IProvider> { } public class ProviderRepository : IProviderRepository { private IRepository<IProvider> _genericProviderRepository; //Explict public default constructor public ProviderRepository(IRepository<IProvider> genericProviderRepository) { _genericProviderRepository = genericProviderRepository; } }
