  • Is it possible to disable Symfony framework support in NetBeans 6.8?

    Put simply: it causes a massive memory leak within an hour if I work on a Symfony project, and I don't use any of the features that it provides. I've looked through all of the menus and can't seem to see an option to disable support for it. Has anyone attempted or managed to remove this module from the IDE? I quite like NetBeans, but on the rare occasions when I need to work with a Symfony project it's causing me quite a headache.

    I need to theme tabs on a certain number of pages "user/*". If i simply use theme_menu_local_task in template.php, it will use the function on all pages, not only on "user/*". Is there a way to theme only "user/" pages and leave others alone?

    I simply want to change the size (diameter) of the actual (default) ImageIcon of my JRadioButton. I've changed the size of the font displayed in the widget, so it really looks silly with such a large radiobutton. JRadioButton button = new JRadioButton("Button"); button.setFont(new Font("Lucida Grande",Font.PLAIN, 11)); gives me this giant button: Do I really have to create my own ImageIcon? Or can I somehow scale the default one, without too much of a hassle?

  • Does OpenGL stencil test happen before or after fragment program runs?

    When I set glStencilFunc( GL_NEVER, . . . ) effectively disabling all drawing, and then run my [shader-bound] program I get no performance increase over letting the fragment shader run. I thought the stencil test happened before the fragment program. Is that not the case, or at least not guaranteed? Replacing the fragment shader with one that simply writes a constant to gl_FragColor does result in a higher FPS.

Some of my models depend on database transactions, and I would like to write some tests for their correct behavior.   • Can I integrate many sources into one RSS reader?

    I'm looking to integrate a bunch of RSS/ATOM sources into a feed for our intranet. This is outside my usual realm of work so I've had very limited exposure to this. I'd like to integrate all the feeds into a single reader such that all the news items are in chronological release order. Is this doable? Do I need a special component?     Hi there, I was wondering if there is a way to conditionally compile entire namespaces in C#. Or am I left with having to explicitly decorate each source file within the namespace with the preprocessor directives to exclude it? In sub-versions of my application the code in various namespace is simply not required and I would like it excluded. Thanks in advance!

  • How significant are JPA lazy loading performance benefits?

    I understand that this is highly specific to the concrete application, but I'm just wondering what's the general opinion, or at least some personal experiences on the issue. I have an aversion towards the 'open session in view' pattern, so to avoid it, I'm thinking about simply fetching everything small eagerly, and using queries in the service layer to fetch larger stuff. Has anyone used this and regretted it? And is there maybe some elegant solution to lazy loading in the view layer that I'm not aware of?

    My ViewModel: class ViewModel { public string FileName {get;set;} } and in my View I bind a label's content to ViewModel's FileName. now When I do drag-drop a file to my View, How can I update the label's Content property, so that the ViewMode's FileName also get updated via binding? Directly set the label's Content property won't work, it just simply clear the binding.

  • Eclipse: Should I create a workspace for each project ?

    I am simply wondering whether it is best to put all of my Eclipse projects into one workspace, or do a 1 workspace per 1 project. I am just a solo developer, for hobby more or less, but the apps I create do actually have production versions that are running on rather frequent cron jobs, so its almost like an amateur production environment. The only problems I have noticed so far is for exporting JARs, I have the potential to include source files from other projects which seems like it could get messy (maybe?).

    We have common library projects shared amongst many projects that are required to be checked out into a "Libraries" folder which a developer needs to checkout prior to opening the main project in visual studio. How I tell hudson that there is this dependency? I figured one thing I could do is setup a custom workspace and specify the location for all projects, but how do I wire up the dependency between them all? Is simply specifying "Build after other projects are built" enough?

I read that Android use dip for image resolution and i also read that 1 dip=1.5 pixel.I simply multiply the image size by 1.5px.
