  • How can I prevent Telerik RadChart from generating an onerror attribute?

    We're using the Telerik Rad Controls for ASP.Net Ajax on an ASP.Net MVC project.     I am planning to build a web application using ASP MVC3 that runs on Azure with a SQL Azure back end. I would like to use the Microsoft stack and have no plans to ever change to another stack. I am looking into the use of WCF and WF but that would be in the future. I looked at the traditional and Code First approach to using Entity Framework but I can't see if there is any advantage in using one or the other approach. Sure they each have advantages but for me I don't care if my classes do inherit from EF classes. All I want is to find the most efficient solution. Can anyone out there give me some advice as to which approach might be the best. thanks very much Richard

  • windbg/cdb hangs when bp hit

    I have a problem where cdb or windbg hangs frequently, but not all the time, when I'm debugging with it and I attach to a specific application on my machine. I found this article: http://www.nynaeve.net/?p=164 which talks about a symbol loading race condition being the problem, but I can force load the symbols, actually have a breakpoint in-app work, and still have it hang elsewhere. Here is the stack from cdb itself when I attach to it with another debugger: ntdll!NtReadFile kernel32!ReadFile cdb!ReadNonConLine cdb!ConIn cdb!MainLoop cdb!main !analyze reports that APPLICATION_HANG_BusyHang is the problem bucket, and 'ReadNonConLine' is the offending function. as far as the stack goes: ffffffff`fffffffe 00000000`00000000 00000001`3f641498 00000000`0014ea50 : kernel32!ReadFile+0x86 00000000`000002a4 00000000`0014ebb0 00000000`00001000 00000000`00000000 : cdb!ReadNonConLine+0x6d ReadNonConLine has the string "g" at 0014ebb0 passed as a param, which may be part of the command I had at the hanging breakpoint (it was something like bp foo "dt a; g") ReadFile takes a handle as its first parameter.   • Accessing Bluetooth virtual COM port on Windows without manual pairing

    I need to connect to a Bluetooth device through virtual COM port created in Windows. It's easy when the port has been already created during manual pairing procedure. But I would like my application to relieve an user from the manual pairing of a device. I would like to present all devices in the range, allow user to chose one, and then create virtual COM port connected with the selected device. I'm not trying to avoid the pairing procedure itself, but rather I would like to invoke it by my application. I started getting familiar with Microsoft Bluetooth API. And then some doubts arose. I've been wondering what happen if some user would use different (than Microsoft's) Bluetooth stack? Is the Microsoft's API the real Bluetooth API, which have to be implemented by any other Bluetooth stack provider? Or rather each provider has its own API, and the Microsoft's is only one of many other?

My app does host several webviews for some oAuth-related login scenarios. How should I go about trying to figure out how to fix this? I've tried looking on grepcode to find the source, but I'm unable to find a matching line number that makes sense. Is my Grepcode-fu weak?

  • JRuby Slick CanvasGameContainer using too much heap memory

    I'm using Java's Slick library (great, by the way) just fine from JRuby. To start a game, I use AppGameContainer which works completely fine and as expected, but if I try to use CanvasGameContainer instead (I want a resizable window and Slick uses an old version of LWJGL that doesn't support this directly) it throws this error: Fri Jun 01 10:22:07 MDT 2012 INFO:Slick Build #274 Error: Your application used more stack memory than the safety cap of 2048K. Specify -J-Xss####k to increase it (#### = cap size in KB). Specify -w for full StackOverflowError stack trace I've tried increasing the heap size until my computer can't allocate any more memory, but to no avail. The CanvasGameContainer uses an awt window to display, which is resizable. Any ideas on why this is happening and/or how to fix this?

    UITabBarController with UINavigationController "more" tab issue There is a problem with using UINavigationController in UITabBarController. I have a TabBar  with 6 items. Of course, a standart item "more" appears, and there are two UINavigationControllers that didn't fit in a TabBar. The core of the problem is: when I'm working with visible items (a first four), UIViewController can be pushed  in an UINavigationController: [self.navigationController pushViewController:userDataViewController animated:YES]; If you call on in "more" and rearrange items in such way, that a visible UINavigationController gets into "more", when calling on it userDataViewController appears.  This  userDataViewController is the last, which has got in a stack and a Back button leads back to "more", but not to the controllers, that were before a userDataViewController appeared. I understand that in fact a selector pushViewController is called from "more", and it pushes my UINavigationController in a stack, and it's not good. Maybe, someone has faced such problem and could help me to solve it? Thank you forward.

  • How can I pop a view from a UINavigationController and replace it with another in one operation?

    I have an application where I need to remove one view from the stack of a UINavigationController and replace it with another. The situation is that the first view creates an editable item and then replaces itself with an editor for the item. When I do the obvious solution within the first view: MyEditViewController *mevc = [[MYEditViewController alloc] initWithGizmo: gizmo]; [self retain]; [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated: NO]; [self.navigationController pushViewController: mevc animated: YES]; [self release]; I get very strange behavior. Usually the editor view will appear, but if I try to use the back button on the nav bar I get extra screens, some blank, and some just screwed up. The title becomes random too. It is like the nav stack is completely hosed. What would be a better approach to this problem? Thanks, Matt

  • Jquery Accordion and Fading

    I am trying to create a jquery accordion that fades the header of the accordion out when the page is loaded then fades it in when the mouse hovers. The accordion also opens when the mouse hovers. I am able to get all of this working, the problem I am having is when the accordion opens the header moves away and the mouse is no longer on it to keep it lit. I would like the links to keep the header lit as well as if the mouse is on the header itself. Basically I've got something like this as of now, which I really like: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zero at com.so.main(SO.java:41) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke However I'd like to catch that exception and add additional info to it, while still having the original stack trace. For example, I'd like to have that: Exception in thread "main" CustomException: / by zero (you tried to divide 42 by 0) at com.so.main(SO.java:41) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke So basically I want to catch the ArithmeticException and rethrow, say, a CustomException (adding "you tried to divide 42 by 0" in this example) while still keeping the stacktrace from the original ArithmeticException.   • Transparent Background with a Modal UIViewController

    I have a dilema, I want to present to the user a semi-transparent view. I found out by experimenting that if I simply pushed the transparent view to the top of my NavigationController's stack, that it would not render the transparency level I wanted. So I decided to simply add the view as a subview of the current view at the top of the stack. This solution works, the view below is still visible, and the View is 'semi-modal'. The problem is, if the parent view inherits from UITableViewController (as mine does), then the view I 'push' onto it, does not cover the navigation bar at the top. I really don't want to get into a situation where I am forced to enable / disable controls on the navigation bar every time I push this view, so I was wondering, if anyone knew of any solutions that I could use so that the view I push onto the UITableViewController will actually 'push over' the navigation bar?

    When my c++ app crashes I would like to generate a stacktrace. I already asked this but I guess I needed to clarify my needs. My app is being run by many different users and it also runs on Linux, Windows and Macintosh ( all versions are compiled using gcc ). I would like my program to be able to generate a stack trace when it crashes and the next time the user run's it, it will ask them if it is ok to send the stack trace to me so I can track down the problem. I can handle the sending the info to me but I don't know how to generate the trace string. Any ideas?

    I have an iPhone App linked against iPhone SDK 4.0 but as deployment target I selected OS 3.1. When I start the application on my iPod touch running 3.1.3 I get an error that the class NSURL cannot be found: dyld: Symbol not found: _OBJC_CLASS_$_NSURL Referenced from: /var/mobile/Applications/21ECAA8E-8777-4020-82F5-56C510D0AEAE/myTracks4iPhoneOS.app/myTracks4iPhoneOS Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreFoundation.framework/CoreFoundation in /var/mobile/Applications/21ECAA8E-8777-4020-82F5-56C510D0AEAE/myTracks4iPhoneOS.app/myTracks4iPhoneOS Data Formatters temporarily unavailable, will re-try after a 'continue'. (Not safe to call dlopen at this time.) mi_cmd_stack_list_frames: Not enough frames in stack. mi_cmd_stack_list_frames: Not enough frames in stack. When I declare CoreFoundation as weak framework then I am able to start the App. But the class NSURL itself does not work. Any idea? Thanks, Dirk

    Hi everyone! I have a stack with my work today. My stack here: I have a select html element and it has MULTIPLE mode: <select class="test" MULTIPLE></select> (MULTIPLE mode also type as : multiple="multiple" i inclue here) <select class="test" multiple='multiple'></select> now i only want select this element in many normal select element: <select class="test" ></select> <select class="test" ></select> <select class="test" multiple='multiple'></select> <select class="test"> </select> i was using jQ like this: $(".test[!MULTIPLE]").css('border','solid 1px red'); but all select element has border red; How can i get only select element MULTIPLE. And get select not MULTIPLE mode?
