C#, string replace russian to english

Hello, I have a strange problem replacing chars in string... I read a .txt file containing russian text, and starting from a list of letters russian to english (ru=en), I loop the list and I WOULD like to replace russian characters with english characters. The problem is: I can see in the debug the right reading of the russian and the right reading of the english, but using myWord = myWord.Replace(ruChar, enChar), the string is not replaced. Creating a list of integers in XML for android.

I would like to create a list of Integers in the /res folder of an android project. However, I want those integers to point resources in /res/raw. So for example, I would like something like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <resources> <integer-array name="built_in_sounds"> <item>@raw/sound</item> </integer-array> </resources> But id doesn't look like I can do that, is there any way to do this? ImageView doesn't rescale Image to selected size

I'm using a ImageView with a fixed size for adding an icon to a menu. In my application, I use it a lot of times, but on this ImageView the Layout Params seem to not work. Unlike the others ImageViews, in this case, I'm using a template directly, but I think that's not the problem. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ImageView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="1dp" android:layout_height="1dp" android:scaleType="fitCenter" android:src="@drawable/ic_menu_moreoverflow_normal_holo_dark" android:contentDescription="ICON" /> Its been used in code as follows. ImageView iview =(ImageView) View.inflate(context, R.layout.icon, null); Theoretically, It should resize automatically the image, however, the images continues with the original size, although the size was 1dp. Seeking through a streamed MP3 file with HTML5 <audio> tag

Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I'm playing around with a node.js server that streams audio to a client, and I want to create an HTML5 player. Right now, I'm streaming the code from node using chunked encoding, and if you go directly to the URL, it works great. What I'd like to do is embed this using the HTML5 <audio> tag, like so: <audio src="http://server/stream?file=123"> where /stream is the endpoint for the node server to stream the MP3. The HTML5 player loads fine in Safari and Chrome, but it doesn't allow me to seek, and Safari even says it's a "Live Broadcast". In the headers of /stream, I include the file size and file type, and the response gets ended properly. Any thoughts on how I could get around this? I certainly could just send the whole file at once, but then the player would wait until the whole thing is downloaded--I'd rather stream it.

How to parse the MailMessage object from raw email string

I have written a program in C# which connects to a POP Server and retrieves raw email message strings from the server using POP3 command RETR. Since the email message being retrieved by the program is in plain text format with all the headers and message body with in the same, its too difficult to extract each header and mail body from the raw string. Could anybody tell me a solution by which I can parse the entire raw text to a System.Net.Mail.MailMessage object? When you are writing code or naming products, which sources of cultural references are you most likely to draw from? Which reference sources do you think are more likely to be universally understood? For example when findbugs sees that you've implemented equals() without overriding hashCode() it suggest that you implement it by returning 42 (a reference from HHGTTG) Or why we have big endian vs little endian encoding, referencing Gulliver's Travels Not that we should act unprofessionally with our code, but if you going to tell a person that they could only (watch/read/...) one (book/movie/show/...) which one would allow them to 'get' the most jokes?

The height and width properties on my Flex 4 app arn't working

But when I embed the .swf file into a HTML page, the application's background color covers the whole screen, and when the Flash Player Settings message box pops up it is outside of the area I defined in the code above. Why can XSLT not parse this XML?

Taking the XSLT and XML from this page as an example: http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/xsl_transformation.asp I have an xml file which contains (above example modified): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="cdcatalog.xsl"?> <catalog xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://tempuri.org/"> <cd> In my case, the output contains nothing when the XSLT/XML is processed by the browser. The moment I remove the attributes from the element, it works. Problem is, I don't really have the option of pre-processing those attributes out of the file. Can anyone explain how to force the XSLT to work with the XML as is, please? After all, those attributes seem fairly standard. Many thanks, Matt.

Hi I have installed RVM in my ubunut linux box and configured the Rails 3 app in that ... i can able to start app server... my problem is when i invoke http://localhost:3000 . i getting the follwing error Mysql::Error (Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)): I checked mysqld service is running well. I checked my database.yml file .... the defined well development: adapter: mysql encoding: utf8 reconnect: false database: test_development username: root password: admin socket: /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock my installed mysql gem version is 2.8.1.... I really don't know what is the problem here....

http response to GET request - working in FF not Chromium

For fun I'm trying to write a very simple server in C. When I send this response to Firefox it prints out the body "hello, world" but with Chromium it gives me a Error 100 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED): Unknown error. Should I call release on these cocoa objective-c variables?

In the code below I'm making a new NSString with alloc and initializing it with the contents of some file. Because I'm calling alloc I know it's my responsibility to call release on the string when I'm done. But what about the variables "lines" and "line"? Since the method "componentsSeparatedByString" does not start with the word "new" or "create" can I assume "lines" will be autoreleased? Same question for "line" since "objectAtIndex" also does not start with "new" or "create". NSString* buffer = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:[fileManager contentsAtPath:@"/foo"] encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; NSArray* lines = [buffer componentsSeparatedByString:@"\n"]; NSString* line = [lines objectAtIndex:5]; // do something with line [buffer release]; So is the code above okay? How do you get XML::Pastor to set xsi:type for programmatically generated elements?

I'm learning how to use Perl as an automation test framework tool for a Java web service and running into trouble generating xml requests from the Pastor generated modules. The problem is that when including a type that extends from the required type for an element, the xsi:type is not included in the generated xml string. MQ EOL Data conversion

we are sending data trough MQ from a z/OS/CICS system to an AS400. Original encoding of the message is CCSID 500 with a MQSTR Format. The client application is getting the message with the CONVERT option and CCSID 819. Data is almost converted correctly except for the end of line caracter. Any idea? The z/OS is sending 0D (CR) as end of line caracter. If they had 0D+0A (CR+LF), CCSID automatically change from 500 to 437, and the end of line still ain't right on the client side.

URL Rewrite in htaccess problem

Am rather new to this world of htaccess redirects.Am trying to force all redirects in my Zend MVC to my https but I get a requested URL not found error on requests that dont go though the index controller Example https://www.example.com/auth/register gives a requested URL /auth/register not found error. However if I remove the https redirect rule it works fine over http. If I adjust the URL to https://www.example.com/index.php/auth/register it works fine. The URL https://www.example.com/index/faq works just fine since it goes through the index controller. StremReader.ReadToEnd() returning an empty string

I have a method private static String DecompressAndDecode(byte[] data) { GZipStream decompressor = new GZipStream(new MemoryStream(data), CompressionMode.Decompress); StreamReader decompressed = new StreamReader(decompressor, Encoding.UTF8); String result = decompressed.ReadToEnd(); return result; } I have some GZipped text as input and the result is supposed to be a String representation of this text. The problem is that the method returns an empty string. What is puzzling me is that when I step trough the method in debug mode and reach the return statement the result variable is an empty string but if I create a watch for the decompressed.ReadToEnd() expression it returns me the text. What I would expect at this point is the result variable to contain the text and the decompressed.ReadToEnd() expression evaluating to an empty string. (Reevaluating the decompressed.ReadToEnd() expression returns an empty string as expected). There must be something obvious I'm missing here.
