  • PHP to Mesh 2 PDF'S Together or not?

    - by Justin
I have an already pre-designed PDF, and I would like to fill the PDF with some database information. So I'm curious if I should save the PDF into JPG's and render them out with the data on top of the image and re-create a PDF. Or is there a way to use the PDF already, and print data into the PDF that is already made? I am trying to figure out the best solution to generating this type of PDF. All thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

  • Correct order of overrides for a composite control based on an abstract one

    - by mattdwen
I'm writing a set of C# composite web server controls for displaying dialog boxes. I want to have one abstract class which handles the basic layout and things like titles of the control, then have a set of derived ones which render child controls at a specific point. I forsee three distincts methods: renderOpeningHtml handled by the abstract class, renderCustomControls as done by the derived class, and renderClosingHtml by the abstract class again, except I can't figure the life cycle of a CompositeControl and what methods to use when.

  • Force Quirks mode with Doctype

    - by Ameer
I have a page which needs to be rendered in Quirks mode for the page to be loaded properly. The problem is that the page uses valid XHTML and thus has a doctype. This forces the page to render in Standards mode in all browsers. Is there any workaround/hack that can force Quirks mode eventhough I have a doctype?

  • Prevent ASP.NET MVC Bundles Loading more than once

    - by Tim
is there an inbuilt method of tracking if a bundle has already been loaded? I have several edit views which forexample require jquery and jquery.Validate etc libraries. Which i don't need to reference on the main layout page. Since a page could consist of several different conditional libraries ... ideally i would like @scripts.Render to know if i have already referenced a library and prevent its reloading. Cheers Tim

  • Component must be a valid peer (when i remove frame.add(Component);)

    - by boyd
i have this code here for creating and drawing array of pixels into an image import javax.swing.JFrame; import java.awt.Canvas; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.image.BufferStrategy; import java.awt.image.BufferedImage; import java.awt.image.DataBufferInt; public class test extends Canvas implements Runnable{ private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; public static int WIDTH = 800; public static int HEIGHT = 600; public boolean running=true; public int[] pixels; public BufferedImage img; public static JFrame frame; private Thread thread; public static void main(String[] arg) { test wind = new test(); frame = new JFrame("WINDOW"); frame.add(wind); frame.setVisible(true); frame.setSize(WIDTH, HEIGHT); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); wind.init(); } public void init(){ thread=new Thread(this); thread.start(); img=new BufferedImage(WIDTH, HEIGHT,BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB); pixels=((DataBufferInt)img.getRaster().getDataBuffer()).getData(); } public void run(){ while(running){ render(); try { thread.sleep(55); } catch (InterruptedException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } public void render(){ BufferStrategy bs=this.getBufferStrategy(); if(bs==null){ createBufferStrategy(4); return; } drawRect(0,0,150,150); Graphics g= bs.getDrawGraphics(); g.drawImage(img, 0, 0, WIDTH, HEIGHT, null); g.dispose(); bs.show(); } private void drawRect(int x, int y, int w, int h) { for(int i=x;i<w;i++) for(int j=x;j<h;j++) pixels[i+j*WIDTH]=346346; } } Why i get "Component must be a valid peer" error when i remove the line: frame.add(wind); Why I want to remove it? Because I want to create a frame using a class object(from another file) and use the code Window myWindow= new Window() to do exactly the same thing BTW: who knows Java and understands what i wrote please send me a message with your skype or yahoo messenger id.I want to cooperate with you for a project (graphics engine for games)

  • Dynamic programming solution to the subset-sum decision problem

    - by Gail
How can a dynamic programming solution for the unbounded knapsack decision problem be used to come up with a dynamic programming solution to the subset-sum decision problem? This limitation seems to render the unbounded knapsack problem useless. In the unbounded knapsack, we simply store true or false for if some subset of integers sum up to our target value. However, if we have a limit on the frequency of the use of these integers, the optimal substructure at least appears to fail. How can this be done?

  • Rendering sass template from a sinatra app doesn't work. Is this due to v.1 incompatibility? Workaro

    - by aaandre
get '/stylesheets/style.css' do header 'Content-Type' => 'text/css; charset=utf-8' sass :style end does not produce the stylesheet anymore. What would be a version 1.0 compatible way to do this? Or, troubleshooting suggestions if you think that the issue is with the code? The style.sass file is in the /views folder. Haml files from the same folder render OK. Thank you.

I'm trying to display a square on my display and i can't. Whats my problem? How can I display it on the screen (center of the screen)? I let my code below! Here's my render class: public class GLRenderEx implements Renderer { private GLCube cube; Context c; GLCube quad; // ( NEW ) // Constructor public GLRenderEx(Context context) { // Set up the data-array buffers for these shapes ( NEW ) quad = new GLCube(); // ( NEW ) } // Call back when the surface is first created or re-created. @Override public void onSurfaceCreated(GL10 gl, EGLConfig config) { // NO CHANGE - SKIP } // Call back after onSurfaceCreated() or whenever the window's size changes. @Override public void onSurfaceChanged(GL10 gl, int width, int height) { // NO CHANGE - SKIP } // Call back to draw the current frame. @Override public void onDrawFrame(GL10 gl) { // Clear color and depth buffers using clear-values set earlier gl.glClear(GL10.GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL10.GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); gl.glLoadIdentity(); // Reset model-view matrix ( NEW ) gl.glTranslatef(-1.5f, 0.0f, -6.0f); // Translate left and into the // screen ( NEW ) // Translate right, relative to the previous translation ( NEW ) gl.glTranslatef(3.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f); quad.draw(gl); // Draw quad ( NEW ) } } And here is my square class: public class GLCube { private FloatBuffer vertexBuffer; // Buffer for vertex-array private float[] vertices = { // Vertices for the square -1.0f, -1.0f, 0.0f, // 0. left-bottom 1.0f, -1.0f, 0.0f, // 1. right-bottom -1.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f, // 2. left-top 1.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f // 3. right-top }; // Constructor - Setup the vertex buffer public GLCube() { // Setup vertex array buffer. • JavaScript Resource Management Design Pattern

    - by Adam
As a web developer, a common problem I find myself tackling is waiting for something to load before doing something else. In particular, I often hide (using either display: none; or visibility: hidden; depending on the situation) elements while waiting for a background image or a CSS file to load. Consider this example from Last.FM. They overlay a semi-transparant PNG over each album art image so that it looks like it's inside a jewel-case. They let it load when it loads, so depending on your internet speed, you may see the art image by itself (without the overlay) temporarily. In this case, the album art looks fine without the jewel-case effect. But in similar situations, I have found that I don't want the user to see the site's design mangled as resources incrementally load. So, in rare cases I have hidden everything from the user until the whole kit and kaboodle has loaded. But this is often a pain to write out, and may force the user to wait for a pretty long time to see anything (besides "loading..." text). I can think of (and have used on occasion) some obvious solutions/compromises: Use some inline CSS so that as certain parts of the DOM load and render, they will immediately have the correct size/position/etc. Immediately render the navigation part of the site, so that if the user wanted to use the current page purely to get somewhere else, they don't have to wait for the rest to load. Load pixelated images first as placeholders for layout while lazy-loading higher quality images as replacements. Something quirky like using a cute animated gif to distract the user during a "loading..." phase. Show useful information as a reference while loading the full UI. (Something akin to Gmail Inbox Preview, etc.) (Sorry if my question was basically just asked and answered...) Despite all of these ideas, I still find myself hoping there are better ways of doing some of these things. So I guess what I'm looking for is some inspiration and/or any creative ways of dealing with this problem that you guys may have seen out in the wild.

  • How to dynamically load aspx code from a database?

    - by labilbe
I have content like this stored in a database <p>This a sample text. <%= Html.ActionLink("test", "myaction", "mycontroller") %></p> The content is part of my data repository, that is the reason I want to keep it inside the database. I would like to know how it is possible to render it and execute it at compile time. I am using it on an asp.net mvc project. Thank you.

  • Facebook: Invalid mark up on FBML

    - by Jhourlad Estrella
I am using the W3C XHTML validator to check my sites and I am getting some errors on pages with FBML. Most of the cause of such errors is the "&" character. Since FBML values and attributes are generated on the fly, I have no way to encode the character properly before displaying it. Question: Is there a way for me to tell Facebook Connect to render the mark up properly? Thanks.

  • Grails: Services VS Groovy classes

    - by Olexandr
Documentation says: The Grails team discourages the embedding of core application logic inside controllers, as it does not promote re-use and a clean separation of concerns. I have one API controller and a few Groovy classes in src/groovy folder. Those classes just implements my application logic so actions in API controller works in this way: //index page def index = { render new IndexApi().index(params) as JSON } I'm curious - is there any reason to move my application logic from plain groovy classes into services ?

  • need prefuse graph edges like arrows

    - by merve
Hello, I did my homework and searched both google for a sample and a topic that is answered before on stackoverflow. But nothing has been found. My problem is ordinary edges who does not have a view like arrows. Here is what i do to hope there is forward arrows from target to destination: LabelRenderer nameLabel = new LabelRenderer("name"); nameLabel.setRoundedCorner(8, 8); DefaultRendererFactory rendererFactory = new DefaultRendererFactory(nameLabel); EdgeRenderer edgeRenderer; edgeRenderer = new EdgeRenderer(prefuse.Constants.EDGE_TYPE_LINE, prefuse.Constants.EDGE_ARROW_FORWARD); rendererFactory.setDefaultEdgeRenderer(edgeRenderer); vis.setRendererFactory(rendererFactory); Here is what i see about colour of edges, hoping these must not be transparent: int[] palette = new int[]{ColorLib.rgb(255, 180, 180), ColorLib.rgb(190, 190, 255)}; DataColorAction fill = new DataColorAction("socialnet.nodes", "gender", Constants.NOMINAL, VisualItem.FILLCOLOR, palette); ColorAction text = new ColorAction("socialnet.nodes", VisualItem.TEXTCOLOR, ColorLib.gray(0)); ColorAction edges = new ColorAction("socialnet.edges", VisualItem.STROKECOLOR, ColorLib.gray(200)); ColorAction arrow = new ColorAction("socialnet.edges", VisualItem.FILLCOLOR, ColorLib.gray(200)); ActionList colour = new ActionList(); colour.add(fill); colour.add(text); colour.add(edges); colour.add(arrow); vis.putAction("colour", colour); Thus, i wonder where am i wrong? Why my edges do not seem like arrows? Thanks for any idea. For more detail, i want to paste all of the code: /* * To change this template, choose Tools | Templates * and open the template in the editor. */ package prefusedeneme; import javax.swing.JFrame; import prefuse.data.*; import prefuse.data.io.*; import prefuse.Display; import prefuse.Visualization; import prefuse.render.*; import prefuse.util.*; import prefuse.action.assignment.*; import prefuse.Constants; import prefuse.visual.*; import prefuse.action.*; import prefuse.activity.*; import prefuse.action.layout.graph.*; import prefuse.controls.*; import prefuse.data.expression.Predicate; import prefuse.data.expression.parser.ExpressionParser; public class SocialNetworkVis { public static void main(String argv[]) { // 1. • Convert large raster graphics image(bitmap, PNG, JPEG, etc) to non-vector postscript in C#

    - by Dennis Cheung
How to convert an large image and embed it into postscript? I used to convert the bitmap into HEX codes and render with colorimage. It works for small icons but I hit a /limitcheck error in ghostscript when I try to embed little larger images. It seem there is a memory limit for bitmap in ghostscript. I am looking a solution which can run without 3rd party/pre-processing other then ghostscript itself.

I wonder whether it is still possible because the box-shadow element is able to render shadow inside like this: box-shadow: inset 0px -5px 10px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); Any ideas?

  • Spring webflow 1.0 - Downloading a file

    - by Dave
I am using spring webflow 1.0. I am uploading a csv file, parsing it, and displying results before proceeding. The user has an option to download a csv file that contains the records that did not pass validation. When I click the link in a JSP to download this file, webflow invokes a form Action. The form action writes out a file via getting the output stream off the response: HttpServletResponse response = ((ServletExternalContext) context.getExternalContext()).getResponse(); I do not want to leave the jsp I'm currently on. I just want to download the file. In other words, I do not want to transition to another state. I just want to serve the dynamically rendered file. Everything works (I don't leave the page, and I download the file), but I'm getting the following error in my console: _pEncydKfggPHJo8=org.springframework.webflow.engine.NoMatchingTransitionException: No transition was matched on the event(s) signaled by the [1] action(s) that executed in this action state 'downloadErrorReportAction' of flow 'myFlow'; transitions must be defined to handle action result outcomes -- possible flow configuration error?
