  • Problem with custom 404 page

    Don't know if this question is appropriate here. I created an Alias directed to the root folder of the website (right now running on localhost). In the root folder, I have a custom 404 page, and I've added a .htaccess file in that folder with the "ErrorDocument 404 /404.html" line, but it still doesn't work. I'm pretty new to this stuff (web servers), so I must be missing something obvious. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    When I start Apple QuickTime (regular non-pro version), it comes up with this page of content including "Hot Picks", "Quick Hits" and other advertising, which I assume it is getting from the internet. How do I turn this off? I just want it to open the blank player, ready for me to play a file etc and not connect to the internet.

    I have a question that has come up somehow in different questions but I still can't find the solution, yet. My problem is that I'm hosting a site on apache 2.4 on debian with SSL and Internet Explorer 7 on windows xp shows Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage I have only ONE virtual host that uses ssl, but DIFFERENT virtual hosts that use http. Please note that the images changes for each row and I am creating the controller using lazy initialization that is I create or alloc it whenever I need it. I saw on internet many people facing the same issue, but very rare good solutions. I have multiple views using the same way and I see almost memory raised to 4MB within 20-25 view transitions. They used to run and end without abending, but now they open and stay open and I have to setup the task to quit them by force before their next scheduled run. I've thought about installing CURL or WGET, but is there a way to do this with R2 without going to that step? Regards.

  • Windows 2003 X64 Std page file usage

    Just trying to understand why I'm seeing what I'm seeing on this system. Pagefile performance counters are telling me i'm @ about 1.5% used with my page file, settings for the file are 2GB-4GB, but task manager was showing 13GB usage: Oddly enough, it just sunk down: This machine has IBM DB2 9.5 workgroup edition running on it. Thoughts??? Actually, just learned the developer had just stopped DB2, hence the huge drop, just not understand the difference in the PF usage in task manager vs perf counters?

  • Loading wordpress admin page prevents and blocks further requests

    I've installed a Wordpress site on a host (actually I moved it from localhost). The site loads and works perfectly, however if I log in with Admin, the admin page doesn't completely load and all further requests to the server are blocked for about 10 or 15 minutes. I can't even ping to the site. Where could this problem be from? Is it firewall related or...? Any help or idea is greatly appreciated.

As shown in the image above, the PHP information page shows sessions as working and installed, yet I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_create() in /var/www/lighttpd/index.php on line 1 I've tried multiple reinstalls, different PHP RPM's, and yet nothing will get sessions going. How can I get PHP sessions working?

    On the results page when I Google "e-luminate", the 3rd and 4th link seems to point to specific directory deep within the folders which stores the images. How can I get rid of these 2 results from Google search results? How can I get Google to de-index it? I checked on the server and the folders did not seem different from other folders but these 2 paths seems to get indexed by Google. Thank you.

And I found that i don't have permission to modify the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main], only got a "everyone" user to access it. Then i installed memcached and its php extension as well as apc and its php extension. i have restarted httpd and php info says that memcache and apc are installed and configured. My question is, why does php my admin now display a blank page after installing memcache and apc.

It seems that the extra information in the location ^~ /admin.php block is unecessary, does anyone know of an easy way to avoid duplicate code? Without it it skips the php block and just returns the php files. Currently it applies https correctly in Firefox when I navigate to admin.php. In Chrome, it downloads the admin.php page. When returning to the non-https website in Firefox, it does not correctly return to http but stays as SSL. Like I said earlier, this only happens for me, the other admins can go back and forth without a problem. Is this an issue on my end that I can fix? And does anyone know of any ways I could reduce duplicate configuration options in the configuration? Thanks in advance! EDIT: Clearing the cache / cookies seemed to work. Is this the right way to do http/https redirection? I sort of made it up as I went along.

  • How do I constrain a container's height to the height of a specific content element?

    I'm trying to do something which seems like it should be extremely simple and yet I can't see how. I have a very simple layout, a TextBox with an image next to it, similar to the way it might look adorned with an ErrorProvider in a WinForms application. The problem is, I want the image to be no higher than the TextBox it's next to. If I lay it out like this, say: <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBox Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" MinWidth="100"/> <Image Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Source="error.png" /> </Grid> the row will size to the height of the image if the image is taller than the TextBox. This also happens if I use a DockPanel or StackPanel. The naive solution would be to bind the Height to the TextBox's ActualHeight. I'm sure this is wrong. But what's right?

    If I screw up typing a URL, my ISP shoots me over to their branded search page. So if I type "superuser" in my location bar I end up at http://domainnotfound.optimum.net/cablevassist/dnsassist/main/?domain=superuser I'd like my browser to leave the location the way it was and just say "nothing doing," rather than redirecting me to a search. Can I override that in my own /etc/hosts or at my router?
