I know some people use ANT to accomplish this, but I don't want to remove HTML comments from the actual jsp, I just want a way to strip them from output unless a users adds a parameter to the url to show the comments for debugging.
I have directory with 1000 .html files, and would like to check all of them for bad links - preferably using console. Any tool you can recommend for such task?
If I load an html fragment that contains images with jquery's .load(), the images aren't yet loaded when my callback is called. Since I need to do some calculations based on the dimensions of the images, I need to know when they've actually been loaded. Is there a nice way to do this?
hi all
what basic tips should we observe in design web pages(html/css/javascript) for having highest compatibility with most browsers(IE-firefox-opera-chrome-safari)?

Hi,
I'm sending mails thanks to the MFMailComposeViewController API, and I manage to add uiimages in attachment, but I'd like to insert my uiimage into html code in my e-mail, any idea of what kind of conversion I should use for my image ?
Thanks.
I would like to create an HTML button that acts like a link. So, when you click the button, it redirects to a page. I would like it to be as accessible as possible. I would also like it so there aren't any extra characters, or params in the URL.
How can I achieve this?
Are there any browser issues with always collapsing empty tags in html.
So for example and empty head can be written like this
<head></head>
but is can also be written like this
<head/>
Will the second case cause issues in any scenerio?
Thanks
I've seen developers use various methods to prevent spam on a basic html contact form
Method 1 is where the developer uses a Captcha image and Method 2 where only a Question is asked eg. Are you Human? with a radio button.
Which one is the better one to use and why?
Could you please give me some suggestions on how to parse HTML in Perl? I plan to parse the keywords(including URL links) and save them to a MySQL database. I am using Windows XP.
Also, do I first need to download some website pages to the local hard drive with some offline Explorer tool? If I do, could you point me to a good download tool?

We are just starting out with a project and do not know how to work with the possibilities around HTML 5. But we are hearing a lot of people starting to talk about it. Any advise would be much appreciated.
Hi all,
In my app I need to lay some text which I'm getting from a parsed data. Currently I'm currently laying it in a label. The problem is there are going to be some html tags indicating an image [along with its url] and videos etc in that plaintext. What is a good way to handle this identifying images and videos tags and laying corresponding images and videos along with rest of the plaintext dynamically?
Thanx in advance.
So I have simple video tag on HTML 5 page playing OGG video. I want to take Its RGB colors in format of array (assuming we know width and height) conteining colors for each pixel (from pixel 1,1 to maxWidth,maxHeight) like { {R:Color, G:Color, B:Color}, {R:Color, G:Color, B:Color} ,... }
So I have a .png file. I am using windows OS. How can I embed my png file/image into (blank by default) file.html so that when you open that file in any browser you see that image, but the file is not anyhow linked to it - it is ebbeded into it?
Step by step instructions would be nice.
I have an html table with say 5 columns. Three of the columns I want to have a fixed width (for example, td width=30,50,30). How would I divide the remaining horizontal space between the two remaining columns? I thought I would do it by just setting each of the "width" properties for those columns to "50%", but that didn't seem to work.
I'm looking for a tool that will scan my JSP, HTML and JS files and report whether the scripts are cross browser compatible or not. I'm not really interested in an online tool which I have to enter all my URL's.
