    I am using a WebBrowser-Control to fill in a webform and then click at a button, this currently results in a standard Download File Dialog (you get these if you download a file using internet explorer), but instead, I have to catch this file and save it automatically with a by me defined name to a specific folder. I am trying to code a little application in vb.net which download the Export-file from my wordpress-blog, and I want to do this completely without user-interaction. Currently everything works, except the downloading of the file. I tried to catch it with the event System.Windows.Controls.WebBrowser.Navigating(ByVal Object, ByVal System.Windows.Navigation.NavigatingCancelEventArgs) but I don't see where to download the file from :( I hope you guys can help me.

    This is what was trying to do: $ wget -qO- www.example.com/script.sh | sh which quietly downloads the script and prints it to stdout which is then piped to sh. This unfortunately doesn't quite work, failing to wait for user input a various points, aswell as a few syntax errors. This is what actually works: $ wget -qOscript www.example.com/script.sh && chmod +x ./script && ./script But what's the difference? I'm thinking maybe piping the file doesn't execute the file, but rather executes each line individually, but I'm new to this kind of thing so I don't know.

    I have two nib files - Main.nib and Preference.nib In Main.nib file I have an instance of NSView class.Its window has a NSPopUpButton which on clicking shows a menu .In the menu I have show Preferences menu item. Menu item on clicking shows a preferences panel containing a color well item. On clicking color well a color panel is displayed to choose the color. The problem is how to apply that color to main application window. My preference panel window is in Preference.nib file. So problem is accessing NSView from another Nib Window. Is there a way so that I can make connection between preference panel and my main application window(NSView)

    Hi, I have been monitoring the parameters a website receives when a file is uploaded (via an input type="file"). Surprisingly, the parameter and its value were looking like this : parameter: upfile value: filename="this is the name of the uploaded file.png" Content-type: image/x-png Now in this POST request to the server page, the file name and its type is passed into a parameter, but what about the path to that filename? Where is that path stored so that the server page can upload the file at the good location? Also, I would like to know if it would be possible by any way to specify a path, NOT to the input type="file" since its impossible, but to the server (though this question probably depends a lot on how the server-side page is scripted).     PROBLEM HISTORY: Now I use Windows Media Player SDK 9 to play AVI files in my desktop application. It works well on Windows XP but when I try to run it on Windows 7 I caught an error - I can not remove AVI file immediately after playback. The problem is that there are opened file handles exist. On Windows XP I have 2 opened file handles during the playing file and they are closed after closing of playback window but on Windows 7 I have already 4 opened handles during the playing file and 2 of them remain after the closing of playback window. They are become free only after closing the application. QUESTION: How can I solve this problem? How to remove the file which has opened handles? May be exists something like "force deletion"?     Hi Everyone! I get files in different formats coming from different systems that I need to import into our database. Part of the import process it to check the line length to make sure the format is correct. We seem to be having issues with files coming from UNIX systems where one character is added. I suspect this is due to the return carriage being encoded differently on UNIX and windows platform. Is there a way to detect on which file system a file was created, other than checking the last character on the line? Or maybe a way of reading the files as text and not binary which I suspect is the issue? Thanks Guys !

    I need to include a C header file in my C++ project but g++ throws "not declared in this scope" errors. I read that i need to use extern "C" keyword to fix it but it didn't seem to work for me.     I am trying to type documents in Hindi language. My OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Gnome environment (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=gnome-session-fallback) I do not use unity interface.The method is shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL7icGNhIfI I am able to type in Hindi in Libreoffice and gedit as well with method shown above.But this is a very difficult way of typing because I have to remember all the English Keys corresponding to the Hindi words as mapped here http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html-single/International_Language_Support_Guide/images/hindi.png What I want to be able to do is type phonetically and not use above kind of keyboard. I have US English keyboard in my laptop.     I run into problem when tried to install Ubuntu 11.04 on Windows 7 using wubi installer .     How do I cache the images properly, I think asked this somewhere before, but it hasn't affected me until gameing site went out of beta. It's HTTP headers or something isn't Ok I used George's answer but frankly the performance is awful, asking the server for the image everytime (even when it doesn't download the image) creates a small delay of about 1/2 a second but because of the huge number of SE sites, the 1/2s add up. Please, please consider adding a hash of the image to the stackauth.com/sites
