    I'm currently looking into developing Facebook applications and was planning on using Flash as the basis of my application, I have test built some simple PHP Facebook applications and I know enough about action-script 3 to start me on my way, but the API for Facebook development in AS looks far more tedious than the PHP one. my question is would I be able to create interactive graphics (games) like we see across the web in the HTML5 canvas class? and which would be simpler?

    Hi , I have to sign an blackberry application so that i can load it to the device but, the signature keys i got from the RIM are installed on the system gets formatted and now i am trying to install the signature keys on another system but the server prompts me for this "Unable to register client'2909103544'because there are no more registration attempts.If you have already registered with this server,then you must contact RIM to register additional user" Can we install these keys to only single computer or now i had to purchase new keys

I look down in the SDK of Windows Tablet PC SDK but i can't find any solution for that. there is one eraser sample in that SDK but that is not similar to feature which is in Windows Journal.   • Connect to MySQL via PHP script tunnel

    Here's the question, I need to connect to a remote MySQL database from my C# Application, problem is the MySQL instance will block all access to all IP's apart from localhost, this can not be changed as its too much of a security issue. The question is, is it possible to connect via a tunnel instead to a php script hosted on the server, this would then act as the mysql connection. Any ideas and suggestions?

I've seen phpBB plugins to integrate with symfony but that's not enough for my purposes, also, mapping database tables is a lame approach in my opinion. I'd like it to find the corresponding property by name on that object and do a basic equality comparison. What's the best way to access this through reflection? Also, I checked out the Validation application block in the Enterprise Library and decided its PropertyComparisonValidator was way too intense for what we need.

  • iPhone apps for company-internal use - possible?

    I hope this is still programming related, as SuperUser doesn't seem the appropriate place. Basically I wonder if it is possible to have Applications that are internal to a company on the iPhone? That is something like a companion Application to an Intranet (when Safari and Mail just don't cut it) which wouldn't make sense on the AppStore (and likely wouldn't get approved anyway). Is something like that possible (without Jailbreaking or doing anything else that Apple doesn't normally want)?

I experienced that Tomcat 6 does not properly undeploy webapps, leaving classes in jvm. For example I monitored tomcat 6 with VisualVM: on start 2000 classes, on deploy of an app 3000 after redeploy 4000 and redeploy 5000 classes and so on - leading to crashes, memory leaks...     Hi, In my application I download several critical files from a server, and I want to write some code that handles the case where the a file download didn't complete for a reason or other ,to retry downloading it at next startup. The function that downloads a file at a time however throws only MalformedURLException and IOException , but if these exceptions are thrown that means that the download didn't even begin. How should I arrange things so I can treat the case where a download failed , even if it began ? download(String file) throws MalformedURLException ,IOException { }

  • How to export large data to Excel

    I have a criteria page in my asp.net application. When user clicks report button, firstly in a new page results are binded to a datagrid, then this page is exported to excel file with changing content type method. That normally works, but when large amount of data comes, system.outofmemoryexception is thrown. Does anyone know a way to fix this problem, or another usefull technic to do?
