    Hi, I an SQL SELECT statement I need to extract the name of two teams, taking both teams from the same table. Eg Below SELECT sport_activity_id, (team A), (team B), date, time FROM sportactivity, teams WHERE competition_id_fk = 2 For (team A) and (team B) I have an team_id, which is a FK for the table 'teams' Is it possible to get the following result from these tables by SQL? 1, Barcelona, Arsenal, 01/01/2000, 20:00 the two table are the following: table sportactivity sport_activity_id, home_team_fk, away_team_fk, competition_id_fk, date, time (tuple example) - 1, 33, 41, 5, 2010-04-14, 05:40:00 table teams team_id, team_name (tuple example) - 1, Algeria

  • Not getting an array as result (calling a webservice by AJAX-JSON)

    I'm trying to get the result of my web service as an array and then loop over the result to fetch all of the data; what I have done so far: In my web service when I return the result I use return json_encode($newFiles); and the result is as following: "[{\"path\":\"c:\\\\my_images\\\\123.jpg\",\"ID\":\"123\",\"FName\":\"John\",\"LName\":\"Brown\",\"dept\":\"Hr\"}]" tehn in my Web application I'm calling the rest web service by the following code in the RestService class: public function getNewImages($time) { $url = $this->rest_url['MyService'] . "?action=getAllNewPhotos&accessKey=" . $this->rest_key['MyService'] . "&lastcheck=" . $time; $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $data = curl_exec($ch); if ($data) { return json_decode($data); } else { return null; } } and then in my controller I have the following code: public function getNewImgs($time="2011-11-03 14:35:08") { $newImgs = $this->restservice->getNewImages($time); echo json_encode$newImgs; } and I'm calling this `enter code here`controller method by AJAX: $("#searchNewImgManually").click(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); $.ajax({ type: "POST", async: true, datatype: "json", url: "<?PHP echo base_url("myProjectController/getNewImgs"); ?>", success: function(imgsResults) { alert(imgsResults[0]); } }); }); but instead of giving me the first object it is just giving me quotation mark (the first charachter of the result) " Why is that?     I have 1 result and which i will receive in Bank account, Based on that account i have to Put a balance to user account. How can you find the Handling cost from total tried 491.50 / 0.95 = 517.36 which is wrong ? It should be 500.00 (to my expectation) User balance requires 500.00 When 500.00 selected he gets 5% discount There is a handling cost for this ex: 1) Discount: 500.00 - 5% = 475.00 2) Handling cost: (475.00 x 0.034) + 0.35 = 16.50 3) Total: 475.00 + 16.50 = 491.50 So problem is from 491.50, i have to find atleast handling cost to get promised Balance. Any solution ? Cant figure it out myself...

    So what I am trying to do is make an application (just for fun, not a lot of purpose), where when you launch it a interface comes up consisting of Username: textboxhere Password: textbox2here then a connect button, and when you fill out your information in the textboxs' then click Connect, it navigates to facebook.com and puts in your information that you defined in the textbox and logs you in. Any ideas guys?

    I have a mysq query which gets including some vars like that: messages TABLE receiver cols user1 rows : 1,3,5 user2 rows : 2,3 user3 rows : 1,4 I want to get rows which includes '3' value. So I will get 'user1' and 'user2'. I tried that but naturally it doesn't work. mysql_query("SELECT * FROM messages WHERE receiver='3'"); How can I do this?

  • Getting the error "Missing $ inserted" in LaTeX

    Hey, I try to write the following in latex: \begin{itemize} \item \textbf{insert(element|text)} inserts the element or text passed at the start of the selection. \item \textbf{insert_after(element|text)} inserts the element or text passed at the end of the selection. \item \textbf{replace(element|text)} replaces the selection with the passed text/element. \item \textbf{delete()} deletes the selected text. \item \textbf{annotate(name,value)} annotates the selected text with the passed name and value-pair. This can either be a hidden meta-data about the selection, or can alter the visible appearance. \item \textbf{clear_annotation()} removes any annotation for this specific selection. \item \textbf{update_element(value)} performs an update of the element at the selection with the passed value. \end{itemize} For some reason, I get a bunch of errors. I think there is something with the use of the word "insert". I get errors like "Missing $ inserted", so it seems like the parses tries to fix some "errors" on my parts. Do I need to escape words like "insert", how do I do that?

    Running the following query (SQL Server 2000) the execution plan shows that it used an index seek and Profiler shows it's doing 71 reads with a duration of 0. select top 1 id from table where name = '0010000546163' order by id desc Contrast that with the following with uses an index scan with 8500 reads and a duration of about a second. declare @p varchar(20) select @p = '0010000546163' select top 1 id from table where name = @p order by id desc Why is the execution plan different? Is there a way to change the second method to seek? thanks EDIT Table looks like CREATE TABLE [table] ( [Id] [int] IDENTITY (1, 1) NOT NULL , [Name] [varchar] (13) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NOT NULL) Id is primary clustered key There is a non-unique index on Name and a unique composite index on id/name There are other columns - left them out for brevity

There is a count method but it takes a Func. If I don't pass a Func paremeter, I could get all the properties in the collection, but how could I not pass one in? Thanks

    I setup custom CSS class for array of dynamic TextBoxes (inputs as HTML) so... now I need to get array of it : <input type="text" style="width: 50px;" class="DynamicTB" id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_GridView1_ctl02_id" readonly="readonly" value="1" name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$GridView1$ctl02$id"> sure client don't really knows the count of inputs. That's why I use class and here is what I'm trying to make : $.each( { id : $("input.DynamicTB").css("value") }, function(id){ CallPageMethod("SelectBook", success, fail, "id",id); }); I'm not sure if this $("input.DynamicTB").css("value") will works correct :( but How can I transfer whole array of values to SelectBook Method ? My javascript is bad and my debugger don't show me javascript errors but it just doesn't works because of something wrong with each. And ... finally I just need to get array of values of dynamic textboxes and transfer them to server side ... mt [WebMethode] can't see server side :( [Web.Services.WebMethod] public static SelectBook(id : array) : string { id } And sure I have no idea how can I use jQuery .live and binding here.

  • SVN always getting errors when I commit (Subclipse)

    I have setup svn on my server and Subclipse at home. I am the only developer and am mainly using it for the backup and versioning features. Everytime I commit my changes I get eighter: Out Of date errors or Tree conflicts Sometimes I even delete files and they don't delete on svn, in a directory hierarchy only the very last item will delete so I have to delete each folder one at a time. How do I avoid these errors in the future? Update: Another problem I am having is that sometimes eclipse seems to sync with the server so that when I refactor a filename it goes off to the server and does something and makes me wait, which is annoying. And for clarity, this is a typical operation: I might change a filename, move a file to a different folder then change the contents of a file. I select the 'Team menu' and click 'commit'. Then I get all these errors above.

    HI, I am deploying a VB6 application on client machine. The Application need to access code from a C#.NET dll. I created a COM object of the .NET dll and used it VB 6 using the side by side versioning (Registration free COM). It is running fine on the development machine but on the client machine it is throwing an error "ActiveX Component cannot create Object" I created two manifest files one for the VB application and the other one for the C# application. I embedded the C# manifest file in the C#.NET dll through visual studio 2008. Am I missing some step. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

  • Getting a java collection of objects in Alphabetical order

    I have a question that I dont really know where to start. So I thought i'd ask it here. Basically, I have a drop down with names in it. I want these names to be in alphabetical order. Populating the drop down happens as follows; I query a database and pull down an Id and Name, make a object called "UserList", and set the name and id variables with what I get back. I then add this object to an ArrayList. I do this over and over. I then convert this collection to an array, and pass it to my JSP page using session.setAttribute("userList", UserList); I then populate the drop down as below. <c:forEach items="${usersCompanysList}" var="c" > There probably is a simple answer but how to I sort these names?

My function is: void getelements(int *a, int cl) { int *p; for (p=&a[0];p<&a[cl];p++) { printf("%d\n",*p); } } I know that the solution should work like that, but it only prints the first element and then memory positions.     Hi, I want to be able to get all the facts from webpages. But these have to be related to coding, and not, for example, about something irrelevant. For example: The Engine renders at a decent speed. May be a fact but is not what I am interested in. If the same article states: A class is a reference type. (This is C#) Then I am interested in that as it is coding related. Has an algorithm like this ever been done? How hard would this be? I'm thinking AI would come into play here. Any advice sought.
