• using Visual Studio 2010 and speech recognition on windows 7?

  I've never used Speech Recognition (SR) at all, but I'm hearing that the built-in SR capabilities of windows 7 is not half-bad. I'm thinking that it might be a real productivity booster with Visual Studio so I can decrease the use of the mouse (no Emacs comments please ;-). I don't envision not using the keyboard to type the actual code--but maybe that would work too? Does anyone have experience using SR with Visual Studio on Windows 7? If so, any tips on usage?

• Custom action getting published multiple times on user's timeline for same object

  I just noticed that when I publish an action on the user's timeline for the same object multiple times, using facebook's 'built-in' action type (eg: 'read' an article), i get an error response, something like "action is already associated to the user on this object". But when i try to do the same for a custom action that i created(eg: 'agreed' with an article), I don't get any error message, instead the actions gets published multiple times. I want my custom action to behave just like facebook's default action-type.

  Hi all. I'm completely new in Open GL, so have a question. I need to apply hi quality texturing on the surface rendered via triangles . But on zooming i continue see the triangle's under the skin, it's not smooth. I use OpenGL built-in minMapping.   .Net has the built in ToShortDateString() function for DateTime that uses the CultureInfo.CurrentCulture.DateTimeFormat.ShortTimePattern format. It returns something like this for en-US: "5:00 pm". For a 24 hour culture such as de-DE it would return "17:00". What I want is a way to just return just the hour (So "5 pm" and "17" in the cases above) that works with every culture. What's the best/cleanest way to do this? Thanks!

The project builds successfully, however when I analyze the project dll after it has been built in Reflector I am seeing that it is holding onto two references to the same dll - version 1 and version 2 are both referenced.

The .so are built on gcc 4.1 on RedHat linux. The s.so is compiled against a.so and b.so with -Bstatic and --no-whole-archive option.
