• JsonStore.insert() causes exception in extjs

  I have an EditorGridPanel with toolbar button to add new records. Everything works fine except one scenario. When I try to insert a record which already exists in database, server sends back: {"success":false,"message":"already exists","data":{}} but grid creates a new row marked with red triangle. If after that I try to insert a new record (even if it doesn't exist in database), everything works fine on the server side, but i get an 'uncaught exception' in firebug. It says: 'uncaught exception: Ext.data.DataReader: #realize was called with invalid remote-data. Please see the docs for DataReader#realize and review your DataReader configuration.' why is that?

• Assign values on multi-properties to a object

  I have a object which it was initialized before in a base class. In inherited class, I use this object and assign values on multi-properties to it. Example: this.Chart.X = 10; this.Chart.Y = 10; this.Chart.Width = 20; this.Chart.Height = 20; this.Chart.Background = Color.Red; However, I must repeat "this.Chart" many times. How to avoid this. Note that I don't want to re-create this object again because in the base class, it was initialized with some common values. Thanks.

  I'm building an 'add new row' function for product variations, and I'm struggling with the regex required to match the form attribute keys. So, I'm basically cloning rows, then incrementing the keys, like this (coffeescript): newrow = oldrow.find('select, input, textarea').each -> this.name = this.name.replace(/\[(\d+)\]/, (str, p1) -> "[" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "]" ) this.id = this.id.replace(/\_(\d+)\_/, (str, p1) -> "_" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "_" ) .end() This correctly increments a field with a name of product[variations][1][name], turning it into product[variations][2][name] BUT Each variation can have multiple options (eg, color can be red, blue, green), so I need to be able turn this product[variations][1][options][2][name] into product[variations][1][options][3][name], leaving the variation key alone. What regex do I need to match only the last occurrence of a key (the options key)?

• Java - Unknown characters passing as [a-zA-z0-9]*?

  Hello, I'm no expert in regex but I need to parse some input I have no control over, and make sure I filter away any strings that don't have A-z and/or 0-9. When I run this, Pattern p = Pattern.compile("^[a-zA-Z0-9]*$"); //fixed typo if(!p.matcher(gottenData).matches()) System.out.println(someData); //someData contains gottenData certain spaces + an unknown symbol somehow slip through the filter (gottenData is the red rectangle): In case you're wondering, it DOES also display Text, it's not all like that. For now, I don't mind the [?] as long as it also contains some string along with it. Please help. [EDIT] as far as I can tell from the (very large) input, the [?]'s are either white spaces either nothing at all; maybe there's some sort of encoding issue, also perhaps something to do with #text nodes (input is xml)

• Floating images with multiple sizes in CSS

  I'm wanting to be able to create a banner of floating images based on what are uploaded via users. The tool needs to have images of 50x50 and 100x100. At the moment, I just want to randomly display the images and tried to apply float:left. However, as you can see below - it leaves gaps. Is there an easy way to do this without programatically positioning the images?   I wanted to write a simple chrome extension in order to substitute the following sequence of steps which i have to do very often for university: make screenshot of something edit screenshot in Paint save unnamend.png to harddrive upload unnamed.png to imageshack.us/pic-upload.de or any other website share link of image with others. • Full coordinates across streets with google maps

  If you go here: http://econym.org.uk/gmap/snap.htm there are some examples of the kind of stuff I'm trying to do. I want the user to enter a route on a google maps widget, and then have the map drawl the route along roads. Then the user click on a "submit" button, and their route is sent back to the server where it will be stored in a database. Instead of sending back just the red vertices, I want to send back all the information that makes up the purple lines. Is this possible?

Now all the widgets in my windows eg. button, Label Ect. will have to change color. EG. i Have a global variabel wich i will set as color "red" fx... All the widgets BACKGROUND option is associated with the global variabel. Now on button press i will change the global variable to "green" so that the background of all widgets ect. will change color, but they DONT. i thought the .mainloop() sort of UPDATED the window. how can i have the widgets to change background color when my variable change WITHOUT restarting my application??? ty Xanthar

• Handling exceptions, is this a good way?

  We're struggling with a policy to correctly handle exceptions in our application. Here's our goals for it (summarized): Handle only specific exceptions. Handle only exceptions that you can correct Log only once. We've come out with a solution that involves a generic Application Specific Exception and works like this in a piece of code: try { // Do whatever } catch(ArgumentNullException ane) { // Handle, optinally log and continue } catch(AppSpecificException) { // Rethrow, don't log, don't do anything else throw; } catch(Exception e) { // Log, encapsulate (so that it won't be logged again) and throw Logger.Log("Really bad thing", e.Message, e); throw new AppSpecificException(e) } All exception is logged and then turned to an AppSpecificException so that it won't be logged again. Eventually it will reach the last resort event handler that will deal with it if it has to. I don't have so much experience with exception handling patterns... Is this a good way to solve our goals? Has it any major drawbacks or big red warnings?

  Hi! I have setup subversion 1.6.5 on Fedora. I have decided to use a single repository for multiple projects. I have added one project, projA, to the repository. I will have more projects to add to the repository in future. If I try to add next project with the command 'svn import . file:///path/to/repos' gives svn: File already exists: filesystem '/usr/local/svn-repos/proj-test/db', transa ction '1-1', path '/trunk'. The new projB is being added to the trunk directory of projA. I have read the section "Adding Projects" in http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/ch05s04.html In that book, projects are added at once.   Hi, I have a variable, $var, that contains a string of characters, this is a dynamic variable that contains the values from inputs. $var could be 'abc', or $var could be 'blu', I want to match the string inside variable against an array, and return all the matches. $array = array("blue", "red", "green"); What is the correct syntax for writing the code in php, my rough code is below $match = preg_grep($var, $array); (incorrect syntax of course) I tried to put quotes and escape slashes, but so far no luck.   I am using un-ordered lists that nests some divs to show the desired output on screen. I am using css to style them and they seem to look perfect on chrome and firefox. But in IE(8) it looks there is a problem which I was unable to locate. • How to inline string.h function on linux?

  I want to optimize some code such that all the functions in string.h will be inlined. I'm on x86_64. I've tried -O3, -minline-all-stringops and when I do "nm a.out" it shows it is calling the glibc version. Checking with gcc -S, I see the calls. What am I missing?   I have DHTML content inside a fieldset. This includes plain html, nested objects (even other fieldsets), and value change of input, select, and textarea objects. I'd like to change the border of the fieldset if the contents have been changed. The following works: $('fieldset[name=qsfs127]').children('input').change(function(){ $(this).parent('fieldset').css({border:'1px solid red'}); }) This handles the input; I can extend it to select and textarea. Questions: How can I do the same for html changes? Can all of this change-tracking be done by comparing current html() to stored one? If yes for (2), will this handle cases of "undo"? • Why can't I have static public fields in my managed beans?

  I just started using the Netbeans 7.1 beta and it is calling out errors of a type which I have never seen before. Specifically: A managed bean with a public field should not declare any scope other than @Dependent. The fields it is complaining about are public static final. I can understand the restriction on non-static fields, but I can't think of a good reason this would not be allowed for a static field. Unfortunately I use a lot of them since I don't like having constants in my code. I note that even though I get the red dot in the margin in the editor, the maven-driven build still works and GlassFish still runs my application the way I would expect. So what is my denoument on this issue? Am I going to have to move my static fields elsewhere or is there another way of handling this?

• First iPhone App View Position Problem

  I am closely following the instructions given in the tutorial "Your First iPhone Application" on apple ADC. In the interface builder, I have set up a button positioned on the top according to the Apple Interface Guidelines. It runs without trouble if I simulate the interface in IB. However, if I run the built app, I get what is shown here. If you look at the view clearly, you will see that the entire view has been shifted up. And the magnitude of the shift is exactly the height of the status bar. And that's why the there is blank space at the bottom of the window, which was white instead of red. I have tried turning on the "Simulated Interface Elements", but that doesn't work either. The problem persists on real devices as well. However, using the "Simulate Interface" from IB looks fine. • Listen to HTML/CSS events of web page

  I'm looking for a way to listen for an event in the HTML/CSS of a webpage. Basically, a website I use at work lists queues and appointments, which flag as yellow/red based on the amount of time late on taking said appointment. Other than this visual aide, there is no alert of any kind, which is a failing point if one is juggling multiple windows and doesn't notice. What I would like to do is put together a simple way to watch for the tag ID or perhaps the flag hex color, and then alert me in a way of my choosing. The work environment is on OS X, so I presume I'm looking at an Objective-C centric solution unless Applescript is capable of doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
