  • Firefox: how to block cookies by name, not by site?

    Firefox allows to block all cookies on a site-by-site level. This is ok for the most part. However, it does not help with blocking only Google Analytics cookies. The GA cookie names start with __ut. Is there a Firefox add-on which can block all __ut* cookies? I know there are many cookie related add-ons for Firefox - but apparently all of them simply fine tune cookie site-by-site blocking, according to their descriptions. Hopefully I missed the one who can do this... I also know about Google's plugin to opt out of analytics. Installing a specific plug-in for that purpose (as opposed to an add-on) seems a bit overdone. Plus, I would have to trust Google with that and that is exactly what I don't.

    PDF documents have hyperlinks to the contents on the same document (analogous to "#section" hrefs for an HTML document). Where's the back button to go back to the page I was on (where I clicked the hyperlink). Let's say I'm on the index of a PDF tutorial, page 4, and I click on Chapter 2's hyperlink in the index that takes me to page 38. Now, if I want to go back to page 4 again, which button or shortcut should I use?

    Hi all, I am a newcomer to hibernate. It would be great if someone could comment over the following query that i have: Say i have a parent class and each parent has multiple children. I am using EHCache as the 2nd level cache provider. I tried to search for the answer to this question but couldnt find any answer in this direction. It makes more sense to use org.demo.children but I dont know in which scenarios one should use a separate cache region for associations/sets/collections as in the above case.   • ORDER BY job failed in the Pig script while running EmbeddedPig using Java

    I have this following pig script, which works perfectly using grunt shell (stored the results to HDFS without any issues); however, the last job (ORDER BY) failed if I ran the same script using Java EmbeddedPig. If I replace the ORDER BY job by others, such as GROUP or FOREACH GENERATE, the whole script then succeeded in Java EmbeddedPig. So I think it's the ORDER BY which causes the issue. Anyone has any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated!     Hi! I'd like to access the the google calendar api from a Silverlight client. Problem is that there's no crossdomain or clientaccesspolicy that allows calls from my client at www.google.com/crossdomain.xml Question is: Will a call from a SL running out of browser, and in full trust still be classified as a crossdomain call? Are there any other ways to access the gdata from my SL client? (other than using the server as a proxy) Regards Larsi

I've tried using the Timer, but the CheckAndDownloadUpdateCompleted doesn't get executed. I think it is erroring out silently. Thanks in advace...

The aim is to code online, browser based. I've tried http://phpanywhere.net/ that can make this possible, but it is buggy and moreover it requires an external (ftp) access to your server that is quite different (and less secure) that working directly on the server.   • Making footer image stick to bottom of web browser or page

    Hello, I know this has been asked alot of times in the past but for the life of me I can't seem to get any of the other solutions to work. What I'm trying to do is to get the footer (which is an image that repeats across the width of the page) to stick to the bottom of the browser when there isn't enough content to naturally push it to the bottom of the page and when there IS enough content to push it to the bottom it does just that. An example is the one at http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/footerStickAlt/good_example_short.htm which does exactly what I want but I can't get to work either. The code that I've currently got implemented makes the footer stick to a certain section of the page with text going under it. You can see it at sourcectrl.co.uk but its not much to look at.
