  I'm working in a site that manage events (like parties). Each event could have several fields, including date, that the user could add thanks to CCK module. Now, the problem is when I have to search using those fields. I could not find how to search for events between a range of dates. I discover the facelet module, which is pretty good, and it is very useful for some kind of search, but as far as I can see it is not possible search in a range. Also I do some testing using views, but again, with no results. I can not find how to search a date "greater than" and "less than". I will really appreciate any help.

  I want to setup a proxy settings in Apache to use Facebook XMPP Chat So far I have setup ejabber server and I am able to access xmpp service using http://mydomain.com:5280/xmpp-http-bind I am able to create Jabber Account too. Now as I want to integrate Facebook XMPP chat , I want my server to sit in between client and chat.facebook.com because I want to implement Facebook chat and custom chat too. So I have read this article and come to know that I need to serve BOSH Service as a proxy in apache to access Facebook Chat service. So I don't know how to set up a proxy in a apache httpd.conf as I have tried following <Proxy *> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Proxy> ProxyPass /xmpp-httpbind http://www.mydomain.com:5280/xmpp-http-bind ProxyPassReverse /xmpp-httpbind http://www.mydomain.com:5280/xmpp-http-bind But whenever I request http://www.mydomain.com:5280/xmpp-http-bind from strophe.js I am getting following response from server <body type='terminate' condition='internal-server-error' xmlns='http://jabber.org/protocol/httpbind'> BOSH module not started </body> and server log says following E(<0.567.0:ejabberd_http_bind:1239) : You are trying to use BOSH (HTTP Bind) in host "chat.facebook.com", but the module mod_http_bind is not started in that host. • Error during GENERAL_REQUEST_ENTITY for POST results in ASP .NET session state never getting unlocked

  I have been trying to chase down the root cause of a condition where ASP .NET session state remains locked after a web request has been terminated due to an unexpected error. We use the SQL Server session state provider for session because we have several servers in a web farm. This issue first presented itself in the form of many requests getting stuck on the 'AcquireRequestState' event of their lifecycle for no apparent reason. I was able to finding corresponding entries for these requests in the session state database in SQL server that were all locked (column Locked = 1). I was also able to correlate these requests to entries in the IIS log with HTTP status codes of 500 (with a sub status of 0). These findings lead me to believe that, in some cases, a request was erroring out but was NOT releasing its lock on session state like it should. I enabled Failed Request Tracing in IIS for the website in question for status code 500 with all available providers selected each with the 'Verbose' setting for verbosity. I've since gathered several failed traces that have caused permanently locked ASP .NET sessions. They all share the same characteristics: They are all 'POST' requests where the browser is posting data to be processed/saved. They all have events indicating that the 'Session' module was invoked during the REQUEST_ACQUIRE_STATE event. At this point the request would have marked the row in the session state database as being "locked". This is normal and expected. They all have GENERAL_READ_ENTITY_START, GENERAL_READ_ENTITY_END, and GENERAL_REQUEST_ENTITY entries that appear to be reading in the data that was posted to the server as part of the request. This appears to be a buffered operation as these events get repeated over and over with each one reading in some subset of the posted data. At some point during the 'read entity' related events and error occurs. Some have the error code "Incorrect function. (0x80070001)" and others have "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. (0x800703e3)". Once the error has been encountered, they all jump directly to the END_REQUEST events. The issue here is that, under normal circumstances, there should be a RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE event that will allow the Session module to release the lock it has on the session. This event is being skipped in this scenario. Just to be sure, I enabled failed request tracing for the '200' status code as well and generated several traces of successful requests that do have the RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE event being handled by the Session module. My theory at this point is that some kind of network issue is causing the 'Incorrect function' and 'I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request' errors, but I don't understand why this seems to be causing the request handling to skip over the RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE event. If the request went through REQUEST_ACQUIRE_STATE it seems like it should also hit RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE as well. I'm loathe to say that this is a bug in IIS or ASP .NET, but it certainly appears that way to me at this point. Are there any configuration changes I could make to help ensure that 'RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE' is fired under all error conditions?

  I was messing around with FreeRADIUS and MySQL (MariaDB) and it seems FreeRADIUS service can't start properly on startup. But it starts fine using root user or in debug mode (radiusd -X) and works just fine! I tried disabling iptables and firewalld and rebooting, but no luck: systemctl disable iptables systemctl disable firewalld So maybe the problem is in the process startup order or delay of some kind. Maybe FreeRADIUS's SQL module can't connect to not yet started MariaDB? If it, how can I fix this? In earlier versions of RHEL/CENTOS I know you easily see service start order in like rc.d or stuff, now IDK. I am new to this fancy "systemd", "systemctl", "firewalld" stuff Centos 7 introduced so sorry I'm a little bit confused. Also this new FreeRADIUS 3 structure... PS. • Oracle WebCenter Portal: Pagelet Producer – What’s New in 11.1.1.6.0 Release

  Igor Plyakov, Sr. Principal Product Marketing Manager is back to share what's new in Oracle WebCenter Portal: Pagelet Producer. In February 2012 Oracle released 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.0) for WebCenter Portal. Pagelet Producer (aka Ensemble) that came out with this release added support for several new capabilities that are described in this post. As of 11.1.1.5.0 release the Pagelet Producer can expose WSRP and JPDK portlets as pagelets that can then be consumed in any portal or any third-party application that does not have a WSRP consumer. Now Pagelet Producer team is working on simplifying use of pagelets in WebCenter Sites. To expose WSRP portlets a new Producer should be registered with Pagelet Producer which can be done using Enterprise Manager, WLST or the Pagelet Producer Administration Console (for details see Section 25.9 of Administrator’s Guide for Oracle WebCenter Portal). If the producer requires authentication, Pagelet Producer allows you to select and use one of standard WSS token profiles.  After registration is finished a new resource is created and automatically populated with pagelets that represent the portlets associated with the WSRP endpoint.  For 11.1.1.6.0 release we completed extensive testing of consuming all WebCenter Services that are exposed as WSRP portlets by E2.0 Producer and delivery them as pagelets to WebCenter Interaction portal. In Pagelet Producer 11.1.1.6.0 release we added OpenSocial container that allows consuming gadgets from other OpenSocial containers, e.g. iGoogle, and expose them as pagelets. You can also use Pagelet Producer to host OpenSocial gadgets that could leverage OpenSocial APIs that it supports – People, Activities, Appdata and Pub-Sub features. Note that People and Activities expose the People Connections and Activity Stream from WebCenter Portal, i.e. to use these features Pagelet Producer requires connection to WebCenter Portal schema. Pub-Sub allows leveraging OpenAJAX Hub API for inter-gadget communication. In addition to these major new additions in Pagelet Producer 11.1.1.6.0 release we also extended several functional modules: The Clipping module was extended to support clipping of multiple regions on web resource page and then re-assembly of these separately clipped regions into a single pagelet. The auto-login feature can now be applied to web resources protected with Kerberos authentication; you would find this new functionality handy for consuming SharePoint web parts The logging module now supports full HTTP traffic between the Pagelet Producer and proxied web resource. At last, as the rest of WebCenter Portal stack the Pagelet Producer 11.1.1.6.0 can run on IBM WebSphere Application Server.

  We all know about Ternary operator in C#.NET. I am a big fan of ternary operator and I like to use it instead of using IF..Else. Those who don’t know about ternary operator please go through below link. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ty67wk28(v=vs.80).aspx Here you can see ternary operator returns one of the two values based on the condition. See following example. bool value = false;string output=string.Empty;//using If conditionif (value==true) output ="True";else output="False";//using tenary operatoroutput = value == true ? "True" : "False"; In the above example you can see how we produce same output with the ternary operator without using If..Else statement. Recently in one of the project I was working with VB.NET language and I was eager to know if there is a ternary operator equivalent there or not. After searching on internet I have found two ways to do it. IF operator which works for VB.NET 2008 and higher version and IIF operator which is there since VB 6.0. So let’s check same above example with both of this operators. So let’s create a console application which has following code. You can see that both IIF and If operator has three parameter first parameter is the condition which you need to check and then another parameter is true part of you need to put thing which you need as output when condition is ‘true’. Same way third parameter is for the false part where you need to put things which you need as output when condition as ‘false’. Now let’s run that application and following is the output as expected. • West Palm Beach Developers&rsquo; Group Celebrates its Fifth Anniversary as a Member of INETA

  Earlier this week marked our fifth anniversary as an INETA group, a fact that we had forgotten but thankfully INETA remembered. In celebrating our membership, INETA sent us a certificate recognizing our membership which we will be sharing with our members at our upcoming meeting. It‘s been a great two-year tenure for me as group co-coordinator working with Venkat Subramanian who had been involved with the group since its inception. Moving into the future we hope to grow both group membership and leadership. We continue to strive to bring added value to our membership which can only happen with your ideas, feedback and involvement in our community-driven group. Our next almost sold-out meeting will be taking place on 8/28/2012 6:30PM (Register at: http://www.fladotnet.com/Reg.aspx?EventID=607) . Will Strohl, DotNetNuke’s Technical Evangelist will be presenting to us an overview on getting started with DNN’s latest 6.2 version all while taking us on a deep dive into its built-in social networking integration features. There is still time to register, but don’t procrastinate! Our September meeting will feature Jonas Stawski, Microsoft MVP sharing with us on SignalR while October will bring us the much anticipated visit by our Microsoft Developer Evangelist Joe Healy who will be talking to us about the latest with Windows 8. • West Palm Beach Dev Group August 2012 Meeting Recap

  As the saying goes, it’s better late than never. Such is the case with my overdue West Palm Beach Dev Group August 2012 meeting report. Our August meeting was full of both knowledge and adventure. It comes as no surprise that the knowledge was brought to us by our favorite DotNetNuke Technical Evangelist, Will Strohl. Will introduced and thoroughly presented the new social features in DNN 6.2. Unfortunately, our meeting date coincided with Hurricane Isaac having just passed us by. Aside from road closures and floods that kept public schools closed for two days, our meeting host, PC Professor, had to close the school the day of our meeting on a short notice due to flooding which we found out about at midnight on the day of the event.  This left us scrambling to find an available alternate meeting location close enough to our original venue. Cancelling the meeting was always an option, but we opted to keep it as the very last resort. Luckily, we were fortunate to find a meeting room at the Hampton Inn only a few minutes away from our original location. Having heard of our challenge, our event sponsor, Applied Innovations, stepped-in and covered the meeting room cost in addition to the food and beverages. We would like to thank our volunteers and sponsors who made that event a success: Jess Coburn, CEO and Cara Pluff, Director of Sales at Applied Innovations, Dave Noderer for suggesting the alternate venue and Venkat Subramanian for his hard work keeping our members informed of the venue change and for being our event photographer.   We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming meetings: -September 25th, 2012 with Jonas Stawski, Microsoft MVP -October 23rd, 2012 with our Microsoft Developer Evangelist, Joe “DevFish” Healy -Ending an exciting year will be our November 27th meeting with Dycom Industries’ Senior Software Developer, Tom Huynh.   All the best, --Sam
