    Recently i designed one Abode air Chat application, which gets the chat messages from admin-Application(we bApplication), band width consumption is too high while each client launching air application to pull the data from database to my-amf endpoint. in this am using blazeds,Jetty server,simple java classes(not servlets) calling with remote object, Please any one suggest me few techiniques to 1)reduce the bandwidh consumption while sending message to each client from admin 2)minimize the time to pull the data from database while client launching application.     I'm trying to write a small script to change the current directory to my project directory: #!/bin/bash cd /home/askgelal/projects/java I saved this file as proj, changed the chmod, copied it to /usr/bin. When I call it by: proj, it does nothing. What am I doing wrong?

    Hey all, The title is obvious, I need to know if methods are serialized along with object instances in C#, I know that they don't in Java but I'm a little new to C#. If they don't, do I have to put the original class with the byte stream(serialized object) in one package when sending it to another PC? Can the original class be like a DLL file?

    hello all, i have a aplication on the android market , in wich exceptions and errors are catched and sent to me by acra. But i receive quite a lot out of memory errors.. In different kind of classes...some my app, some general java.. Does this always mean there is a problem in my app, or can it also be the phone ran out of memory due to a other process? Will users also get a fc dialog ? thnks

  • error on running/debugging netbeans (i guess glassfish relateD)

    Hi i am trying to implement a web application in java using netbeans 6.8 all the time i try to run the project i get an error that points to build-impl.xml:632 if i try to debug i get an error that points at build-impl.xml:722 the error doesn tgive any clue(at least to me) it only says failed on GlassFish v3 Domain i haven t modified the file so i do not know what is going on any idea?   • Jython 'unknown enocoding ms932' on japanese system

    i've written a program in Jython 2.5.1 which works fine on my Windows 7 machine, but on a japanese machine it throws an Exception saying "unknown encoding 'ms932'" i found that codecs.java is the only module printing the unknown encoding 'xyz' message this file loads aliases.py which does contain # cp932 codec '932' : 'cp932', 'ms932' : 'cp932', 'mskanji' : 'cp932', 'ms_kanji' : 'cp932', The file cp932.py contains import _codecs_jp, codecs But.. _codecs_jp does not exist as is also discussed in this page Does anyone have a clue where to go from here ? http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/8tc1Zc2rV3qiUcy9zPlA

    Android - What is the maximum file size that setMaxFileSize can be set to in respect to Androids mediarecorder? I know it's somewhere between 4147483650 and 5147483650. Why is there a limit in the first place? I'm recording on to a SDCARD, detecting the size of the cards space before we run.     Hi, A question regarding the HtmlUnit java libary: I've created a log on my server, and noticed that the click() method doesn't pass the "referral" information when it is invoked through a "HtmlElement" or "HtmlArea". when invoked through the more commonly used HtmlAnchor- the refferral information is passed. This is strange since HtmlAnchor is a Subclass of HtmlElement Thanks for the help
