    I'm trying to run freshly compiled program, written with Tcl&Tk. When running it I get an error: felix@Astroserver:~/?????????/Simon$ sudo ./simon1 invalid command name "tcl_findLibrary" I'm running Ubuntu 11.04, I have installed Tcl&Tk (cause I was able to succesfully build the program). If I'm running wish: *% tcl_findLibrary wrong # args: should be "tcl_findLibrary basename version patch initScript enVarName varName"* Could anyone help?

  • Equivalent of IllegalArgumentException of Java in C++

    In Java if an input argument to a method is invalid, we can throw an IllegalArgumentException (which is of type RuntimeException). In C++, there is no notion of checked and unchecked exceptions. Is there a similar exception in standard C++ which can be used to indicate a runtime exception? Or is there a common style not in the standard but everyone follows in practice for a situation like this? Or, should I just create my own custom exception and throw it?

    I am currently playing around with jqueries drag and drop, basically I currently have a div (.drag_check) that holds a checkbox, I have the drag and drop working but I want to alert out the checkbox's ID once the element is dropped, I assume I have to use child but all my attempts have returned 'undefined'.   • JSplitPane SetDividerLocation Problem

    I have a JSplitPane which when shown should split the pane by 50%. Now on giving an argument of 0.5 (as suggested) to setDividerLocation, Java seems to treat it as a normal number instead of a percentage. As in, the divider, instead of going to the middle of the pane, is almost at the start of the left pane (the pane is vertically split). Any work arounds?

    I am writing a functor F which takes function of type void (*func)(T) and func's argument arg. Then functor F calls func with arg. I would like F not to copy arg, just to pass it as reference. But then I cannot simply write "void F(void (*func)(T), T&)" because T could be a reference. What resources would you suggest for getting up-to-date on the current state of java technologies? How about learning how to approach DRY (don't repeat yourself) without the use of metaprogramming? Or how to approach various scenarios where a ruby developer is used to passing in a function (proc/lambda/block) as an argument (callbacks, etc)?

    it works fine on 64 bit machines but for some reason will not work on python 2.4.3 on a 32-bit instance. i get the error 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 76-79: invalid data for the code try: str(sourceresult.sourcename).encode('utf8','replace') except: raise Exception( repr(sourceresult.sourcename ) ) it returns 'kazamidori blog\xf9' i have modified my site.py file to make UTF8 the default encoding, but still doesnt seem to be working.

  • Running cUrl cmd from Win7 doesn't work, but on Linux it does.

    Like the title says. I'm sending a simple cUrl cmd from Win7 to CouchDB on my Linux box, and it doesn't work. But if I run the same command in Linux, it works. I'm sending this: curl -X POST 192.168.2.5:5984/test/testdoc -d '{"owner":{"fname":"test","lname":"ing"}}' From windows, it keeps giving me a "error: bad request, reason:invalid UTF-8 JSON". I can run GET commands from windows just fine, I just can't seem to POST to CouchDB.

  • Common Lisp's equivalent of \r inside the format function?

    Basically, I'd like to do the following, only using Common Lisp instead of Python: print("Hello world.\r\n") I can do this, but it only outputs the #\newline character and skips #\return: (format t "Hello world.~%") I believe I could accomplish this using an outside argument, like this: (format t "Hello world.~C~%" #\return) But is seems awkward to me. Surely I can somehow embed #\return into the very format string, like I can #\newline? Yeah ehh, I'm nitpicking. Thanks for any help!
