I wonder if we can force notepad++ to respect the previous whitespace character when it autoindents a new line:
list[CR][LF]
····item1[CR][LF]
····item2[CR][LF]
--->|
(notepadd++ screenshot recreation showing hidden characters, because I don't have enough reputation to post images, sorry xP)
If I am indenting with tabs I want a tab when notepad++ does an autoindent.
But if I am indenting with spaces, I do want spaces.
We have created thousands of PDF files that are printed as a label on a special label printer. Printing these labels is ok, but some of the label paper are quarter turned and the PDF are printed incorrectly. There is a possibility to rotate the page before printing. But is it possible to rotate a PDF file and save it again as a PDF file? And there are thousands of PDF files, is it also possible to do this is a batch program?
I need to implement a 'stop list' to prevent users selecting common passwords in a new online service.
Can anyone point me to such a list online anywhere?
Edited: Note that I'm only trying to eliminate the most common passwords, not an exhaustive dictionary. And, of course, this complements a reasonably strong password policy (length, use of non-alpha characters, etc.)
Thanks.
I was always thought to use internal domain name (company.local or company.corp) for Active Directory instead of (company.com or company.pl). Recently we were thinking that by using external domain name we can get some advantages for stuff like certificates for Exchange, Sharepoint and alike where internal and external name would be exactly the same making it unnecessary to buy special certificates.
What are advantages and disadvantages for both? What could be potential problem when doing so and what could be a big advantage?
I like how Windows 7 (and Vista) have the convenient 'New Folder' button. Is it possible to have a similar 'New File' button. If it creates a file and then automatically triggers the renaming action so you can rename the file, that would be perfect.
I know it is possible for certain file types to have special actions assigned, but not just for a generic directory.
I have never installed Netatalk before. I have to help someone get this up and running on a Ubuntu 9.10 server and I don't know if there is any special configuration or install steps I need to follow in Ubuntu 9.10 to get it up and running. I am doing this remotely through ssh, so I prefer instruction via command-line. Thanks!
Hello,
I want to know how to redirect permanently the "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" in outlook 2007.
I have already tested to make different rules and spam redirect but, the undelivered mails continues to come in my inbox.
Do outlook have a special configuration, does someone knows why i cant redirect my undelivered mails ?
Please test it YOURSELF and you will know it is not simple as making a rule with the message or the sender name...
Kind of a crazy question, but...
I am looking into getting a backup internet connection. I have DSL and ClearWire can now reach 4-5 meg speeds. I was thinking about getting that service as a backup connection, but I am wondering if I do that if I can combine the bandwidth to basically double my up and down speed?
Will this work, and anything special I would need to do?
I would like to develop a web application that uses unicode. The problem is that I don't know if the user supports or not the full unicode set.
First question : is the unicode support depends on the browser or the operating system ?
Second question : how well main browsers/OS behave ?
To goal is to find big subsets of mainly supported unicode characters (with the fact that I accept to not support old tech)
Thank you
Hello everyone. When I'm using remote-desktop to a Windows 2003 server, I'd like to have some way of knowing if I'm looking at the console session. Is there please some way I can have something (such as a special wallpaper backdrop) that only comes on with the console?
Many thanks.
I'm using mod_rewrite to rewrite URLs like this:
http://example.com/1,2,3,4/foo/
By doing this in .htaccess:
RewriteRule ^([\d,]+)/foo/$ /foo.php?id=$1 [L,QSA]
It works fine, except for when "1,2,3,4" turns into a string longer than 255 characters, Apache returns a "403 Forbidden".
Is there some apache setting I should tweak?
I'm looking for an easy way to get my pdf document reviewed.
I would prefer an online solution, where I just upload my document and then sent out an url to my reviewers.
They can then give comments through the website without any special software installed.
In order to create some special routes for debugging I used the following command on my linux server:
sudo route add -net 10.78.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0 gw 10.101.1.1
which works, and sets up the routes I need. But when I run the same command on my Mac I get:
route: bad address: netmask
I'm guessing that the version of route that is included in OS X requires a different format but I'm at a loss to figure it out.
I am a non-root user, and have made a directory into which other users in my group can write. The directory is setgid, so files and directories within it have the same group.
I can delete files placed into this directory, but if a user creates a subdirectory with files in it, I can't seem to delete those. Is there something special I can do (other than, say, bothering the user in question or the sysadmin about it) to get rid of this subdirectory?
I'm trying to create a rule using Chinese characters
#RewriteRule ^zh(.*) /???$1 [L,R=301]
creates error 500 when i change the file to UTF-8
#RewriteRule ^zh(.*) /%E4%B8%AD%E6%96%87%E7%89%88$1 [L,R=301]
redirects to /%25E4%25B8%25AD%25E6%2596%2587%25E7%2589%2588 (basically replacing % with %25)
Anybody familiar with this problem?
If my server is placed in PTP v2 enabled network which has grand master clock.
And the switch is PTP aware.
The server is W2008R2 (soon to be W2012).
I also have PTP v2 software client.
How does the master clock messages are getting on with Windows Server?
Does it need special PTP-aware NIC or it will be treated as normal networking traffic and the software receives it through regular NIC no problem?
Not sure if this would be a correct place to post, but here it goes.
Ive been getting reports form people who try accessing my site from a PS3, that every page appears like a jumble of random characters on a white background, sorta like echoing out a gzipped string as plain text. Im using nginx.
Does the PS3 browser not support gzipping? Anything I can do except disabling it?
Does anyone know if the HP Workstation xw4100 takes a "special" power supply?
I know there was a time when everyone was using their own PSs with different pinouts, but I was under the impression that enough people complained and all the companies switched to standard power supplies.

The iPhone is a 3g with 16GB it has no problems connecting to public networks like libraries or restaurants. But currently it won't connect to my home WiFi.
Thanks for your time and help.

We all know that if you want to completely delete files from HDD, you have to use a special erase algorithm in order to make it impossible to read it back.
But what with the memory cards? Do they need the same algorithms to ensure that no one could read it back? (it has a completely different structure to store data, and I don't know what the case here with secure delete)
I need to delete my data from the company laptop. Nothing special just 2 or 3 folders (I have Dropbox installed on this PC) and I'd like to be sure they are gone. I read about free tools and bootable CDs to erase the entire disk, I don't need those but just a free tool to put some zeros where my data were before.
I've noticed recently that Microsoft Word 2007 on Windows XP is opening by default straight text files as RTL instead of LTR. These are English written files, and contain no Unicode or characters other than ASCII. I work in three or four languages on the computer so have the language bar open, this problem happens when the language is selected to EN (United Kingdom).
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, perhaps in Word itself?
Hello!
Does anyone has experience with this device under Linux?
On which level of abstraction is the Wacom Bamboo tablet supported?
Is the device input just translated to mouse input, so that every application
can profit from it?
Or do I need special (design|paint|...)-software which explicitely supports this device?
