  • Save as DialogBox to save textbox content to a newfile using asp.net

    - by user195114
    I want the users to type their text in the given textbox and on clicking on createNewFile Button, a SaveAs Dialogbox should popup and the users should browse through the location and save the file as desired. I have tried some thing but (1) the dialog box goes behind the application (2) when run, dialogbox opens 3 times, means it executes 3 times REPLY TO THE POST protected void btnNewFile_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { StreamWriter sw = null; try { SaveFileDialog sdlg = new SaveFileDialog(); DialogResult result = sdlg.ShowDialog(); sdlg.InitialDirectory = @"C:\"; sdlg.AddExtension = true; sdlg.CheckPathExists = true; sdlg.CreatePrompt = false; sdlg.OverwritePrompt = true; sdlg.ValidateNames = true; sdlg.ShowHelp = true; sdlg.DefaultExt = "txt"; // sdlg.ShowDialog = Form.ActiveForm; string file = sdlg.FileName.ToString(); string data = txtNewFile.Text; if (sdlg.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { sw.WriteLine(txtNewFile.Text); sw.Close(); } if (sdlg.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.Cancel) { sw.Dispose(); } //Save(file, data); } catch { } finally { if (sw != null) { sw.Close(); } } } private void Save(string file, string data) { StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(file); SaveFileDialog sdlg1 = new SaveFileDialog(); try { if (sdlg1.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { writer.Write(data); writer.Close(); } else writer.Dispose(); } catch (Exception xp) { MessageBox.Show(xp.Message); } finally { if (writer != null) { writer.Close(); } } } I have tried this.

  • why Geocoder.getFromLocationName(...) returns an empty list?

    - by urobo
    I'm using the android.location.Geocoder for the first time. The Idea is: I have a Listener on a button which takes input from an EditText and resolve the location. Up to now it's debugging phase, so I have no handler taking messages from the thread, only geocoding and write to logcat. Q: Why this method always returns an empty list of Address objects? private View.OnClickListener checkLocation = new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { location = ((EditText)findViewById(R.id.getLocation)).getText().toString(); Thread thr = new Thread(){ public void run (){ Log.d("Looking for", location); Geocoder gc = new Geocoder(ctx,Locale.ITALY); try { fa= gc.getFromLocationName(location, 3); if (fa.isEmpty())Log.d("getFromLocationName", "NothingFound"); else { int size= fa.size(); for (int i = 0; i<size ;i++) Log.d("getFromLocationName.at("+ String.valueOf(i) +")", fa.get(i).getAddressLine(0)+", "+fa.get(0).getAddressLine(1)); } } catch (IOException e) { Log.e("IOException", e.getMessage()); } } }; thr.start(); } }; manifest: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"/> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION" /> Somebody knows why? (btw I am using 1.6 sdk) Input tried

  • Java anagram recursion List<List<String>> only storing empty lists<Strings>

    - by Riff Rafffer
    Hi In this recursion method i am trying to find all anagrams and add it to a List but what happens when i run this code is it just returns alot of empty Lists. private List<List<String>> findAnagrams(LetterInventory words, ArrayList<String> anagram, int max, Map<String, LetterInventory> smallDict, int level, List<List<String>> result) { ArrayList<String> solvedWord = new ArrayList<String>(); LetterInventory shell; LetterInventory shell2; if (level < max || max == 0) { Iterator<String> it = smallDict.keySet().iterator(); while (it.hasNext()) { String k = it.next(); shell = new LetterInventory(k); shell2 = words; if (shell2.subtract(shell) != null) { anagram.add(k); shell2 = words.subtract(shell); if (shell2.isEmpty()) { //System.out.println(anagram.toString()); it prints off fine here result.add(anagram); // but doesnt add here } else findAnagrams(shell2, anagram, max, smallDict, level + 1, result); anagram.remove(anagram.size()-1); } } } return results; }

  • Python web scraping involving HTML tags with attributes

    - by rohanbk
    I'm trying to make a web scraper that will parse a web-page of publications and extract the authors. The skeletal structure of the web-page is the following: <html> <body> <div id="container"> <div id="contents"> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td class="author">####I want whatever is located here ###</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> </div> </body> </html> I've been trying to use BeautifulSoup and lxml thus far to accomplish this task, but I'm not sure how to handle the two div tags and td tag because they have attributes. In addition to this, I'm not sure whether I should rely more on BeautifulSoup or lxml or a combination of both. What should I do? At the moment, my code looks like what is below: import re import urllib2,sys import lxml from lxml import etree from lxml.html.soupparser import fromstring from lxml.etree import tostring from lxml.cssselect import CSSSelector from BeautifulSoup import BeautifulSoup, NavigableString address='http://www.example.com/' html = urllib2.urlopen(address).read() soup = BeautifulSoup(html) html=soup.prettify() html=html.replace('&nbsp', '&#160') html=html.replace('&iacute','&#237') root=fromstring(html) I realize that a lot of the import statements may be redundant, but I just copied whatever I currently had in more source file. EDIT: I suppose that I didn't make this quite clear, but I have multiple tags in page that I want to scrape.

  • Is using a StringBuilder for writing XML ok?

    - by Jack Lawson
    It feels dirty. But maybe it isn't... is it ok to use a StringBuilder for writing XML? My gut instinct says "although this feels wrong, it's probably pretty darn performant because it's not loading extra libraries and overhead." Here's what it looks like. I'm building an OpenSearch XML doc based on the domain you come in from. public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { context.Response.ContentType = "text/xml"; string domain = WebUtils.ReturnParsedSourceUrl(null); //returns something like www.sample.com string cachedChan = context.Cache[domain + "_opensearchdescription"] as String; if (cachedChan == null) { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.Append("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>"); sb.Append("<OpenSearchDescription xmlns=\"http://a9.com/-/spec/opensearch/1.1/\" xmlns:moz=\"http://www.mozilla.org/2006/browser/search/\">"); sb.Append(" <ShortName>Search</ShortName>"); sb.Append(" <Description>Use " + domain + " to search.</Description>"); sb.Append(" <Contact>[email protected]</Contact>"); sb.Append(" <Url type=\"text/html\" method=\"get\" template=\"http://" + domain + "/Search.aspx?q={searchTerms}\" />"); sb.Append(" <moz:SearchForm>http://" + domain + "/Search.aspx</moz:SearchForm>"); sb.Append(" <Image height=\"16\" width=\"16\" type=\"image/x-icon\">http://" + domain + "/favicon.ico</Image>"); sb.Append("</OpenSearchDescription>"); cachedChan = sb.ToString(); context.Cache.Insert(domain + "_opensearchdescription", cachedChan, null, DateTime.Now.AddDays(14), TimeSpan.Zero); } context.Response.Write(cachedChan); }

  • Windows Forms Event Log

    - by blu
    I am writing to the event log from my Windows Forms application running on Windows 7 and am getting this message in the event log: The description for Event ID X from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: Exception Details the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table My logging code is: public void Log(Exception exc) { EventLog.WriteEntry( "Application", exc.ToString(), EventLogEntryType.Error, 100); } My logging on Windows Forms is usually to a DB, but in this case decided to use the event log. I usually use the event log in ASP.NET applications, but those are on XP Pro locally and Windows Server 2003 on the web boxes. Is this a Windows 7 thing or a Windows Forms thing, and what should I do to fix this? Thanks.

  • Update existing Preference-item in a PreferenceActivity upon returning from a (sub)PreferenceScreen

    - by aioobe
    I have a PreferenceActivity with a bunch of (Sub)PreferenceScreens. Each such (Sub)PreferenceScreen represents an account and has the account-username as its title. PreferenceScreen root = mgr.createPreferenceScreen(this); for (MyAccountClass account : myAccounts) { final PreferenceScreen accScreen = mgr.createPreferenceScreen(this); accScreen.setTitle(account.getUsername()); // add Preferences to the accScreen // (for instance a "change username"-preference) ... root.add(accScreen); } As the user enters sub-PreferenceScreen, and edits the account user-name, I want the outer PreferenceScreen to update it's PreferenceScreen-title for the account in question. I've tried to add... usernamePref.setOnPreferenceChangeListener(new OnPreferenceChangeListener() { public boolean onPreferenceChange(Preference preference, Object newValue) { accScreen.setTitle(newValue.toString()); return true; } }); ...but the accScreen.setTitle does not seem to take effect on the outer PreferenceScreen. I've note that calling onContentChanged(); actually makes it work, but I realize that this is probably not the preferred way of doing it. I suspect I should call postInvalidate() on some view somewhere, but I really can't figure out on what view and when to do it. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2396153/preferencescreen-androidsummary-update may be experiening the same problem as me. Any help appreciated.

  • C# LINQ to XML nissing space character.

    - by Fossaw
    I write an XML file "by hand", (i.e. not with LINQ to XML), which sometimes includes an open/close tag containing a single space character. Upon viewing the resulting file, all appears correct, example below... <Item> <ItemNumber>3</ItemNumber> <English> </English> <Translation>Ignore this one. Do not remove.</Translation> </Item> ... the reasons for doing this are various and irrelevent, it is done. Later, I use a C# program with LINQ to XML to read the file back and extract the record... XElement X_EnglishE = null; // This is CRAZY foreach (XElement i in Records) { X_EnglishE = i.Element("English"); // There is only one damned record! } string X_English = X_EnglishE.ToString(); ... and test to make sure it is unchanged from the database record. I detect a change, when processing Items where the field had the single space character... +E+ Text[3] English source has been altered: Was: >>> <<< Now: >>><<< ... the and <<< parts I added to see what was happening, (hard to see space characters). I have fiddled around with this but can't see why this is so. It is not absolutely critical, as the field is not used, (yet), but I cannot trust C# or LINQ or whatever is doing this, if I do not understand why it is so. So what is doing that and why?

  • WPF DataGrid binding difficulties

    - by Jasmin Pvvlovic
    This is the class: public class TrainingData { public string Training { get; set; } } And this is the rest of the code in MainWindow: Excel.Workbook xlWorkbook = xlApp.Workbooks.Open("D:/excel.xlsx"); Excel._Worksheet xlWorksheet = xlWorkbook.Sheets[1]; Excel.Range xlRange = xlWorksheet.UsedRange; List <TrainingData> tData= new List <TrainingData>(); int rowCount = xlRange.Rows.Count; int colCount = xlRange.Columns.Count; //int k = 0; for (int i = 1; i <= rowCount; i++) { tData.Add(new TrainingData() { Training = xlRange.Cells[i, 1].Value2.ToString() }); //MessageBox.Show(tData[k].Training); //k++; } Prikaz.ItemsSource = tData; DataGrid: <DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="False" Height="120" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="12,12,0,0" Name="Prikaz" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="105" ItemsSource="{Binding}"> <DataGrid.Columns> <DataGridTextColumn Header="Header" /> </DataGrid.Columns> </DataGrid>` So, Prikaz is my DataGrid. tData is List of TrainingData objects. If I uncomment these three lines I can test if I have imported information from excel file correctly, and yes, that works just fine. So why am I getting empty DataGrid? It has right number of rows and only one column, that's ok, but there are no data in it. I used this line: Prikaz.ItemsSource = tData; to bind my objects list and DataGrid. Training is declared public so it should be present in DataGrid. What could be causing the problem?

  • asp.net, how to change text color to red in child nodes in VB codes?

    - by StudentIT
    I got everything worked now by list of server Name but I want to add a IF statement by checking a column from SQL Server called Compliance by either True or False value listed. If it False, the Name will change text color to Red. If it True, the Name won't change text color. I am not sure how add that in VB codes side. I am pretty sure that I would need to put IF statement inside While dr.Read(). I am pretty new to VB.Net and not sure which VB code that change text color. Here is my VB codes, Sub loadData() 'clear treeview control TreeViewGroups.Nodes.Clear() 'fetch owner data and save to in memory table Dim sqlConn As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection((ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("SOCT").ConnectionString)) Dim strSqlSecondary As String = "SELECT [Name] FROM [dbo].[ServerOwners] where SecondaryOwner like @uid order by [name]" 'Getting a list of True or False from Compliance column Dim strSqlCompliance As String = "SELECT [Compliance] FROM [dbo].[ServerOwners] where SecondaryOwner like @uid order by [name]" Dim cmdSecondary As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand(strSqlSecondary, sqlConn) Dim cmdCompliance As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand(strSqlCompliance, sqlConn) cmdSecondary.Parameters.AddWithValue("@uid", TNN.NEAt.GetUserID()) cmdCompliance.Parameters.AddWithValue("@uid", TNN.NEAt.GetUserID()) Dim dr As System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader Try sqlConn.Open() Dim root As TreeNode Dim rootNode As TreeNode Dim firstNode As Integer = 0 'Load Primary Owner Node 'Create RootTreeNode dr = cmdSecondary.ExecuteReader() If dr.HasRows Then 'Load Secondary Owner Node 'Create RootTreeNode root = New TreeNode("Secondary Owner", "Secondary Owner") TreeViewGroups.Nodes.Add(root) root.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.None rootNode = TreeViewGroups.Nodes(firstNode) 'populate the child nodes While dr.Read() Dim child As TreeNode = New TreeNode(dr("Name"), dr("Name")) rootNode.ChildNodes.Add(child) child.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.None End While dr.Close() cmdSecondary.Dispose() End If 'check if treeview has nodes If TreeViewGroups.Nodes.Count = 0 Then noServers() End If Catch ex As Exception hide() PanelError.Visible = True LabelError.Text = ex.ToString() Finally sqlConn.Dispose() End Try End Sub

  • Why is Swing Parser's handleText not handling nested tags?

    - by Jim P
    I need to transform some HTML text that has nested tags to decorate 'matches' with a css attribute to highlight it (like firefox search). I can't just do a simple replace (think if user searched for "img" for example), so I'm trying to just do the replace within the body text (not on tag attributes). I have a pretty straightforward HTML parser that I think should do this: final Pattern pat = Pattern.compile(srch, Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE); Matcher m = pat.matcher(output); if (m.find()) { final StringBuffer ret = new StringBuffer(output.length()+100); lastPos=0; try { new ParserDelegator().parse(new StringReader(output.toString()), new HTMLEditorKit.ParserCallback () { public void handleText(char[] data, int pos) { ret.append(output.subSequence(lastPos, pos)); Matcher m = pat.matcher(new String(data)); ret.append(m.replaceAll("<span class=\"search\">$0</span>")); lastPos=pos+data.length; } }, false); ret.append(output.subSequence(lastPos, output.length())); return ret; } catch (Exception e) { return output; } } return output; My problem is, when I debug this, the handleText is getting called with text that includes tags! It's like it's only going one level deep. Anyone know why? Is there some simple thing I need to do to HTMLParser (haven't used it much) to enable 'proper' behavior of nested tags? PS - I figured it out myself - see answer below. Short answer is, it works fine if you pass it HTML, not pre-escaped HTML. Doh! Hope this helps someone else. <span>example with <a href="#">nested</a> <p>more nesting</p> </span> <!-- all this gets thrown together -->

    hi, i am using autocomplete extender in my application but it is not working. this is my code.. <form id="form1" runat="server"> <asp:scriptmanager ID="Scriptmanager1" runat="server"></asp:scriptmanager> <br /> <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <div> <cc1:AutoCompleteExtender TargetControlID="TextBox1" MinimumPrefixLength="1" ServiceMethod="GetVideoTitles" CompletionSetCount="10" ServicePath="Myservices.asmx" ID="AutoCompleteExtender1" runat="server"> </cc1:AutoCompleteExtender> </div> </form> this is webservice method public string[] GetVideoTitles(string prefixText) { SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source=SERVER5\SQLserver2005;Initial Catalog=tpvnew;User ID=xx;Password=525"); con.Open(); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("video_videotitles", con); cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; cmd.Parameters.Add("@prefixText", SqlDbType.VarChar, 50); cmd.Parameters["@prefixText"].Value = prefixText; SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd); DataTable dt = new DataTable(); da.Fill(dt); string[] items = new string[dt.Rows.Count]; int i = 0; foreach (DataRow dr in dt.Rows) { items.SetValue(dr["videotitle"].ToString(), i); i++; } return items; }

  • GridView not DataBinding Automatically after ObjectDataSource Select Method

    - by John Polvora
    I've created a objectadasource that returns a datatable, the gridview is binded to this datasource. the ODS have parameters assigned on the Page_Load event, and the ODS returns the data ok and the gridview shows it fine. the problem is i have a textbox with a filter. first I created a filterexpression in gridview, using the contents of the textbox, worked fine for me. but now I've enabled the paging in gridview. then the filterexpression is not useful now, since the ODS returns only the rows of the pagesize of gridview. I did a new ODS method that select data from parameters page and pagesize according to GridView, and it's OK. now my filter textbox passes his text property to a parameter of the ods select method, then the ods gets the data based on my filter and shows it in the grid. on the Page_Load: ObjectDataSource_Lista.SelectParameters["search"].DefaultValue = filter; ObjectDataSource_Lista.SelectParameters["id"].DefaultValue = ID.ToString(); but when I change the value of the filter, the grid doesn't refresh. on debugging. I see that the ODS Select Method is refreshed ok, but the GridView don't. So I need to call mannually the Databind() method of the grid, to refresh data. the problem is, I have a commandbutton on the grid, and if I manually databind(), the command button stops functioning, generating Page ValidateRequest errors. My question is: how to databind() the grid automatically after the datasource refreshed? ps: on the ODS Selected event, causes a infinite loop and the debug webserver crashes. Temporary solution: Created a Variable private bool wasdatabound; on the event GridView_Databound, set wasdatabound = true; on the Page_PreRenderComplete, if ((GridView1.Visible) && (!databounded)) GridView1.DataBind();

  • ASP.NET putting dynamic controls on page in reverse messes up events

    - by Jimmy Geels
    I have this weird problem when putting textboxes on the page in reverse. The whole event system is messed up. Changing one textbox fires TextChange on all textboxes. I can fix this by putting the controls in a list first and then call add while iterating trough the list in reverse. But i just want to know why this fails. Heres some code (.net 2.0) public partial class _Default : Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { InitFields(); } private void InitFields() { int nrFields; //We have a static textbox called nrElements, this determines the number //of fields to initialize if (int.TryParse(nrElements.Text, out nrFields)) { //Put all the dynamic fields on the screen in reverse order foreach(Control t in GetDynamicFields(nrFields)) { //Calling Controls.Add works fine //Calling Controls.AddAt messes up the events //Try changing different textboxes plhFields.Controls.AddAt(0, t); } } } private IEnumerable<Control> GetDynamicFields(int nrFields) { for (int i = 0; i < nrFields; i++) { TextBox txtBox = new TextBox(); txtBox.ID = string.Format("dynTextBox{0}", i.ToString()); txtBox.AutoPostBack = true; txtBox.TextChanged += t_TextChanged; yield return txtBox; } } private void t_TextChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { TextBox txtBox = sender as TextBox; if (txtBox != null) txtBox.Text = txtBox.Text + "Changed "; } }

  • Backreferences in lookbehind

    - by polygenelubricants
    Can you use backreferences in a lookbehind? Let's say I want to split wherever behind me a character is repeated twice. String REGEX1 = "(?<=(.)\\1)"; // DOESN'T WORK! String REGEX2 = "(?<=(?=(.)\\1)..)"; // WORKS! System.out.println(java.util.Arrays.toString( "Bazooka killed the poor aardvark (yummy!)" .split(REGEX2) )); // prints "[Bazoo, ka kill, ed the poo, r aa, rdvark (yumm, y!)]" Using REGEX2 (where the backreference is in a lookahead nested inside a lookbehind) works, but REGEX1 gives this error at run-time: Look-behind group does not have an obvious maximum length near index 8 (?<=(.)\1) ^ This sort of make sense, I suppose, because in general the backreference can capture a string of any length (if the regex compiler is a bit smarter, though, it could determine that \1 is (.) in this case, and therefore has a finite length). So is there a way to use a backreference in a lookbehind? And if there isn't, can you always work around it using this nested lookahead? Are there other commonly-used techniques?

  • MSCRM 4 Convert Standard enitity to Custom entity using InitializeFromRequest

    - by user363727
    Hi there, I'm trying to convert an order and orderdetail lines to a custom entity and its child lines using InitializeFromRequest using the code below: public void Convert(Guid FromEntityId, string FromEntityName, string ToEntityName) { try { // Set up the CRM Service. CrmService _service = GetCrmService(); InitializeFromRequest req = new InitializeFromRequest(); req.EntityMoniker = new Moniker(); // this is the very thing that does the job. req.EntityMoniker.Id = FromEntityId; req.EntityMoniker.Name = FromEntityName; req.TargetEntityName = ToEntityName; //contact for our example req. req.TargetFieldType = TargetFieldType.ValidForCreate; InitializeFromResponse rps = (InitializeFromResponse)_service.Execute(req); //now the lead is converted to a contact, and you can see it in contacts. Guid entityId = _service.Create(rps.Entity); lblMsg.Text = "Done ID:" + entityId.ToString(); } catch (System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException se) { lblMsg.Text = "soap:" + se.Detail.InnerText; } catch (Exception ex) { lblMsg.Text = ex.Message; } } Now i am able to get a custom entity created but all the attributes are empty despite me setting the mapping fields in the realtionship. Any ideas on what i am missing or doing wrong? Thanks in advance Andrew

  • loaderInfo null inside creationComplete handler function

    - by Thiago
    Hi, I've coded this small snippet to show what I'm not understanding: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" creationComplete="init()"> <mx:Script> public function init():void { txtName.text = this.loaderInfo.toString(); } </mx:Script> <mx:TextInput x="50" y="10" id="txtName"/> </mx:Application> I'm getting the following error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at Teste/init()[C:\Lucas\flex\AppName\src\Teste.mxml:5] at Teste/___Teste_Application1_creationComplete()[C:\User\flex\CornetaRecorder\src\Teste.mxml:2] at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at mx.core::UIComponent/dispatchEvent()[C:\autobuild\3.2.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\UIComponent.as:9298] at mx.core::UIComponent/set initialized()[C:\autobuild\3.2.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\UIComponent.as:1169] at mx.managers::LayoutManager/doPhasedInstantiation()[C:\autobuild\3.2.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\managers\LayoutManager.as:718] at Function/http://adobe.com/AS3/2006/builtin::apply() at mx.core::UIComponent/callLaterDispatcher2()[C:\autobuild\3.2.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\UIComponent.as:8628] at mx.core::UIComponent/callLaterDispatcher()[C:\autobuild\3.2.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\UIComponent.as:8568] Shouldn't I be able to read loaderInfo inside the creationComplete handler? I'm trying to pass a string from the html to my flash component, that's why I have to get loaderInfo working.

  • QueryString malformed after URLDecode

    - by pdavis
    I'm trying to pass in a Base64 string into a C#.Net web application via the QueryString. When the string arrives the "+" (plus) sign is being replaced by a space. It appears that the automatic URLDecode process is doing this. I have no control over what is being passed via the QueryString. Is there any way to handle this server side? Example: http://localhost:3399/Base64.aspx?VLTrap=VkxUcmFwIHNldCB0byAiRkRTQT8+PE0iIHBsdXMgb3IgbWludXMgNSBwZXJjZW50Lg== Produces: VkxUcmFwIHNldCB0byAiRkRTQT8 PE0iIHBsdXMgb3IgbWludXMgNSBwZXJjZW50Lg== People have suggested URLEncoding the querystring: System.Web.HttpUtility.UrlEncode(yourString) I can't do that as I have no control over the calling routine (which is working fine with other languages). There was also the suggestion of replacing spaces with a plus sign: Request.QueryString["VLTrap"].Replace(" ", "+"); I had though of this but my concern with it, and I should have mentioned this to start, is that I don't know what other characters might be malformed in addition to the plus sign. My main goal is to intercept the QueryString before it is run through the decoder. To this end I tried looking at Request.QueryString.toString() but this contained the same malformed information. Is there any way to look at the raw QueryString before it is URLDecoded? After further testing it appears that .Net expects everything coming in from the QuerString to be URL encoded but the browser does not automatically URL encode GET requests.

  • Find and Replace RegEx with wildcard search and addition of value

    - by fraXis
    The below code is from my other questions that I have asked here on SO. Everyone has been so helpful and I almost have a grasp with regards to RegEx but I ran into another hurdle. This is what I basically need to do in a nutshell. I need to take this line that is in a text file that I load into my content variable: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H1E1 I need to do a wildcard search for the X value, Y value, Z value, and H value. When I am done, I need this written back to my text file (I know how to create the text file so that is not the problem). X17.8Y-1.G54G0T2 G43Z0.1H1M08 I have code that the kind users here have given me, except I need to create the T value at the end of the first line, and use the value from the H and increment it by 1 for the T value. For example: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H5E1 would translate as: X17.8Y-1.G54G0T6 G43Z0.1H5M08 The T value is 6 because the H value is 5. I have code that does everything (does two RegEx functions and separates the line of code into two new lines and adds some new G values). But I don't know how to add the T value back into the first line and increment it by 1 of the H value. Here is my code: StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(fDialog.FileName.ToString()); string content = reader.ReadToEnd(); reader.Close(); content = Regex.Replace(content, @"X[-\d.]+Y[-\d.]+", "$0G54G0"); content = Regex.Replace(content, @"(Z(?:\d*\.)?\d+)[^H]*G0(H(?:\d*\.)?\d+)\w*", "\nG43$1$2M08"); //This must be created on a new line This code works great at taking: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H5E1 and turning it into: X17.8Y-1.G54G0 G43Z0.1H5M08 but I need it turned into this: X17.8Y-1.G54G0T6 G43Z0.1H5M08 (notice the T value is added to the first line, which is the H value +1 (T = H + 1). Can someone please modify my RegEx statement so I can do this automatically? I tried to combine my two RegEx statements into one line but I failed miserably.

  • Passing JSON object from Controller to View(jsp)

    - by user752233
    I am trying to send JSON object to my view from controller but unable to send it. Please help me out! I am using following code public class SystemController extends AbstractController{ protected ModelAndView handleRequestInternal(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws Exception { ModelAndView mav = new ModelAndView("SystemInfo", "System", "S"); response.setContentType("application/json;charset=UTF-8"); response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "no-cache"); JSONObject jsonResult = new JSONObject(); jsonResult.put("JVMVendor", System.getProperty("java.vendor")); jsonResult.put("JVMVersion", System.getProperty("java.version")); jsonResult.put("JVMVendorURL", System.getProperty("java.vendor.url")); jsonResult.put("OSName", System.getProperty("os.name")); jsonResult.put("OSVersion", System.getProperty("os.version")); jsonResult.put("OSArchitectire", System.getProperty("os.arch")); response.getWriter().write(jsonResult.toString()); // response.getWriter().close(); return mav; // return modelandview object } } and in the view side I am using <script type="text/javascript"> Ext.onReady(function(response) { //Ext.MessageBox.alert('Hello', 'The DOM is ready!'); var showExistingScreen = function () { Ext.Ajax.request({ url : 'system.htm', method : 'POST', scope : this, success: function ( response ) { alert('1'); var existingValues = Ext.util.JSON.decode(response.responseText); alert('2'); } }); }; return showExistingScreen(); });

  • How to pass binary data between two apps using Content Provider?

    - by Viktor
    I need to pass some binary data between two android apps using Content Provider (sharedUserId is not an option). I would prefer not to pass the data (a savegame stored as a file, small in size < 20k) as a file (ie. overriding openFile()) since this would necessitate some complicated temp-file scheme to cope with concurrency with several content provider accesses and a running game. I would like to read the file into memory under a mutex lock and then pass the binary array in the simplest way possible. How do I do this? It seems creating a file in memory is not a possibility due to the return type of openFile(). query() needs to return a Cursor. Using MatrixCursor is not possible since it applies toString() to all stored objects when reading it. What do I need to do? Implement a custom Cursor? This class has 30 abstract methods. Do I read the file, put it in a SQLite db and return the cursor? The complexity of this seemingly simple task is mindboggling.
