    I am trying to learn A* path finding. I am using this library - https://github.com/qiao/PathFinding.js But there is one thing I don't understand how to do. To find a path from player.x/player.y (player.x and player.y are both 0) to 10/10 I use this code var path = finder.findPath(player.x, player.y, 10, 10, grid); This gives an array of where I need to move, but how do I apply this array to my player.x and player.y? The path structure looks like this path = [[0, 0], [1, 0], [1, 1], ..., [10, 10]]

  • Why are my file selection dialogs so big? How do I make them smaller?

    When I use an external monitor, my file selection dialog boxes seem to be huge -- wider than my larger screen. I assume it is a nautilus issue since it happens whether I'm trying to open a file to upload (in firefox) or attach (in thunderbird) or just open it in LibreOffice. See screenshot: The browser window fills my left-hand monitor, the "open" dialog is wider than one screen, and wider than the window that spawned it. It's huge. It didn't used to be huge. Is there some way to force dialog windows to be smaller by default? Whenever I try to open/attach/upload a file I have to re-size the finder dialog before I can see what I'm looking at. I don't understand why it is defaulting to such a huge window.

  • Why can't I mount the Ubuntu 12.04 installer ISOs in Mac OS X?

    Over the past few days, I have downloaded both the 32 and 64 bit version of server and desktop to install on an Intel based PC. It is normal from within OS X to double click on an ISO and it will mount the ISO in the finder as well as within disk utility. When I attempt to mount any of the Ubuntu ISOs I downloaded, OS X returns the error message The following disk images couldn't be opened. The reason given for the error is no mountable filesystem. However, I am still able to open the ISO directly from disk utility and burn it to a DVD/CD. What has changed in this release to cause this? Is there something wrong with the current ISOs? The OS X machine I am using is only two weeks old and is having no issues with any other ISO.

However, when using Interface Builder to create view components for a project that uses the static library I find that it is unaware of the library classes. What do I need to do to make the class interfaces visible to Interface Builder? Update: The correct answer refers to dragging the headers into the 'XIB browser'.   • Handling file renames in git

    I'd read that when renaming files in git, you should commit any changes, perform your rename and then stage your renamed file. Git will recognise the file from the contents, rather than seeing it as a new untracked file, and keep the change history. However, doing just this tonight I ended up reverting to git mv. > $ git status # On branch master # Changes to be committed: # (use "git reset HEAD <file>..." to unstage) # # modified: index.html # Rename my stylesheet in Finder from iphone.css to mobile.css > $ git status # On branch master # Changes to be committed: # (use "git reset HEAD <file>..." to unstage) # # modified: index.html # # Changed but not updated: # (use "git add/rm <file>..." to update what will be committed) # (use "git checkout -- <file>..." to discard changes in working directory) # # deleted: css/iphone.css # # Untracked files: # (use "git add <file>..." to include in what will be committed) # # css/mobile.css So git now thinks I've deleted one CSS file, and added a new one. Not what I want, lets undo the rename and let git do the work. > $ git reset HEAD . However, it is 4 years old and I have a JPA compliant Java application to contend with. In addition, I see that there is a JPATemplate in Spring that has some good functionality, but the Spring documentation says it is already deprecated! Can anybody point me to a solid, modern, JPA compliant, Spring based, working example of a GenericDAOImpl that proxies an Interface to provide generic finder execution?

  • Get the path of the .dmg from the mount point

    I'm looking for a way to get the .dmg path of a mounted disk image with just its mount point. I want to write a "simple" Finder service that ejects the disk image and trashes the accompanying .dmg. The ejecting is trivial, but I'm at a loss as to how to figure out the path of the .dmg, given just the mount point. diskutil doesn't seem to know or isn't saying. It's for a script, so AppleScript- or shell-based suggestions are preferred.

  • I write bad wave files using Java

    I'm writing out wave files in Java using AudioInputStream output = new AudioInputStream(new ByteArrayInputStream(rawPCMSamples), new AudioFormat(22000,16,1,true,false), rawPCMSamples.length) AudioSystem.write(output, AudioFileFormat.Type.WAVE, new FileOutputStream('somefile.wav')) And I get what appears to be corrupt wave files on OSX. They won't play from Finder however using the same code behind a servlet writing directly to the response stream and setting the Content-Type to audio/wave seems to play fine in quicktime. What gives?

Therefore, I need Java programs---in best case used in production---and appropriate benchmarks. For instance, I already got HyperSQL and measure its performance by the benchmark program PolePosition. The Java programs running on a JVM without JIT compiler. Thanks for your help!   • Disable colour change when source list loses focus

    When an item is selected in the source list it is highlighted in blue. When another element on the window is selected, however, the highlight becomes a lighter blue as the source list is no longer focused. I would like to change the behaviour so the item is always the darker blue, the same behaviour as seen in Finder.
