    Hi, I'm trying to migrate from ASP.NET MVC2 Priview 2 to MVC2 RC, because new version of Telerik is enforcing it. I had big problems while migrating from MVC 1.0 to MVC 2.0 Preview 2, so I wanted to confirm with you guys before continuing. Has anyone migrated from Prev2 to RC? Was there any problems?     I want to transfer big files (1GB) over unreliable transport channels. When connection is interrupted, I don't want start file transfering from the begining. I can partially store it in a temp table and store last readed position, so when connection is reestablished I can request continue uploading of file from this position. Is there any best-practice for such kind of things. I'm currently use chunking channel.

A) Provide all the CSS used by the website in one (compressed) file B) Provide the CSS for required by the elements on the page that is currently being viewed only Positives for A: The entire CSS used on the site is cached on first visit via 1 http request Negatives for A: if it's a big file, it will take a long time to load initially Positives for B: Faster initial load time Negatives for B: More HTTP requests, more files to cache Is there anything (fundamental) that I am missing here?

    I have a PHP array of strings: ie: "Big green car parked outside"..etc I would like to perform boolean search operations on these strings, similar to MySQL fulltext searching , or Sphinx Searching. For example, I would like to find all strings containing word "green" but not "car" Does anyone know of any existing PHP classes or libraries which would help me accomplish this ?   • Background Activity for Map in Android started again if phone orientation is changed

    Hi, i've developed an android app that's fetches an xml file and displays this data via several markers on the map. This works fine so far. The problem right now is that when i switch the orientation of the phone (portrait-landscape or vice versa) the markers disappear for a small moment, the xml processing is started again and then they reappear. Is there a way to prevent this re-loading of the file? It only takes about 2-3 seconds..so no big deal, but still disturbing

I have an link which animates some div-s height when its hovered... but div has big height and it goes beyond the visible bottom end of the screen so i have to scroll to see the data and when i scroll I leave the hover area and so the div toggles it's height to 0px... how to make automatic scroll to the end of the div when it toggles...   • How to make an id auto_increment from where it last left off after a record delete?

    This isn't that big of a deal but I was wondering if it can be done. Right now when I insert a new record, the id field which is auto_increment and set as primary key increases it's value by one: id | first_name | last_name ------------------------------ 1 | John | Smith 2 | Jane | Doe But if I delete record 2, the next one I insert is going to have an id of 3. Is there any way to make it have an id of 2 automatically (without having to manually insert it)?

    So, I have this code: } else { $photograph_moderation = new PhotographModeration($this->photograph_id); $photograph_moderation->purgePhotograph(); //eventually take to an error page die('image is not big enough to upload'); } the purgePhotograph() function gets called properly when this condition is met, but the script never appears to die. Is there a reason why die wouldn't get called here? purgePhotograph() has no script killing commands either.
