  • ibatis/Oracle - SELECT query inside INSERT is failing

    - by whoopy_whale
Hi, I'm trying to do an Insert operation using iBatis. INSERT INTO SCHEMA.TABLE (FIELD1, FIELD2, FIELD3) VALUES (#field1#, (SELECT ANOTHER_FIELD FROM SCHEMA.TABLE WHERE FIELD4= #field2#), #field2#) The inner select query always fails and returns NULL. But if I substitute #field2# with the actual value only in the inner query, it works fine. Why is iBatis not substituting fieldvalues in the innerqueries? Any ideas?

  • How to parameterize @Scheduled(fixedDelay) with Spring 3.0 expression language?

    - by ngeek
When using the Spring 3.0 capability to annotate the a scheduled task, I would like to set the fixedDelay as parameter from my configuration file, instead of hard-wiring it into my task class, like currently... @Scheduled(fixedDelay=5000) public void readLog() { ... } Unfortunately it seems that with the means of the Spring Expression Language (EL) @Value returns a String object which in turn is not able to be auto-boxed to a long value as required by the fixedDelay parameter. Thanks in advance for your help on this.

  • Understanding this matrix transposition function in Haskell

    - by dmindreader
This matrix transposition function works, but I'm trying to understand its step by step execurtion and I don't get it. transpose:: [[a]]->[[a]] transpose ([]:_) = [] transpose x = (map head x) : transpose (map tail x) with transpose [[1,2,3],[4,5,6],[7,8,9]] it returns: [[1,4,7],[2,5,8],[3,6,9]] I don't get how the concatenation operator is working with map. It is concatenating each head of x in the same function call? How?

  • C# Wrapping an application within another application

    - by Gio Borje
I want to secure some applications for some people without teaching them how to add an encryption or authentication, so I thought about mocking up a simple application that launches another application if some password or authentication function returns true. How would I wrap the application so that only the launcher would be able to access the file?

  • Using a constructor for return.

    - by Fecal Brunch
Hi, Just a quick question. I've written some code that returns a custom class Command, and the code I've written seems to work fine. I was wondering if there are any reasons that I shouldn't be doing it this way. It's something like this: Command Behavior::getCommand () { char input = 'x'; return Command (input, -1, -1); } Anyway, I read that constructors aren't meant to have a return value, but this works in g++. Thanks for any advice, Rhys

And when the ajax loading is complete, the original image of the button returns to the normal. Is there any good source on how to do something like this? What do you guys suggest?

  • Why do calls to waveOutGetPosition hang?

    - by MusiGenesis
I'm using the winmm.dll API method waveOutGetPosition to get the current position of the playback of a WAV file. Sometimes this works as expected for me, but eventually one of the calls never returns and my application locks up. I found this thread with a few users who have experienced the same problem: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsgeneraldevelopmentissues/thread/c6a1e80e-4a18-47e7-af11-56a89f638ad7 but no solution. Has anyone run into this problem before?

  • Turn Function or Stored Procedure Result into "live" Result for LINQ

    - by Alex
Is it possible to turn result sets obtained in LINQ through a stored procedure or function call into a "live" set of objects of which I can retrieve Foreign Key related objects? If, for example, my stored procedure returns a set of rows (= LINQ objects) of type "Contact", then I can't seem to obtain Contact.BillingAddress (which is related by Foreign Key). Any idea how to make this work?

  • String to datetime

    - by SARAVAN
I have a string 12012009 input by the user in ASP.NET MVC application. I wanted to convert this to a DateTime. But if I do DateTime.TryParse("12012009", out outDateTime); it returns a false. So I tried to convert 12012009 to 12/01/2009 and then do DateTime.TryParse("12/01/2009", out outDateTime); which will work But I don't find any straight forward method to convert string 12012009 to string "12/01/2009". Any ideas?
