  Hello guys, I was wondering if there is there is a way to create thumbnails for different types of documents, for instance PDF documents, Word Documents, Spreadsheets, etc, not only for the images, from within PHP?   Hi, i was wondering, how can i extract thumbnail from a flash-video file, then display it in a listbox. the listbox is suppose to have many videos which i need to extract thumbnails from programatically with actionscript. the flash-player is going to be on the web, and the extraction must happen when the swf file is loading, therefore, the method must not be too time-taking. how do i go on about doing so? is this even possible? tnx in advance

• Shut down windows service based on load

  Hello, I was wondering if there are any free / open source solutions that will start and stop a windows service based on load? I have some pubsub subscriber services that do background work which is not critical. Ideally i would like tot be able to automate things so that these services could start if memory/cpu/disk i/o was under a certain threshold and stop gracefully if that threshold was met.   I'm learning about Color Profiles/Color Spaces/Monitor Color Management Profiles and I was just wondering how any of that justified considering the fact that I could throw the entire color anything off by adjusting the brightness and contrast of my monitor? Additionally there are things like lighting in the place where your monitor resides. I don't understand what makes it possible to know that the colors that you are looking at on your monitor are accurate. I really don't have any idea where to start (considering I obviously can't even get the terminology right in the first place...:-p)

  In our developer environment, no users have administration rights. As such, it's not possible to install MSBuild.CommunityTasks without getting admin to do so. What I'm wondering is similar to NAnt, i.e. is it possible to include the files in your solution directory, and just reference it from there? • Silverlight DataGrid vertical scrollbar issue

  I have a DataGrid in my silverlight application and I'm wondering how to get the same behavior for the vertical scrolling as the horizontal scrolling. When I resize the browser horizontally, The app will bunch up all the controls and the horizontal scrollbar will appear, however when I resize it vertially, the controls at the bottom of the app just move out of view. Does anyone know any tricks to handle something like this?

  I'm wondering if there's a super-efficient way of confirming that an Image object references an entirely black image, so every pixel within the bitmap is ARGB(255, 0, 0, 0). What would you recommend? Most of these bitmaps will be 1024 x 6000 pixels (although it's not safe to assume they'll always be that size).
