  • Denormalization database

    I was taking a look at SSB (Star Schema Benchmark -http://www.percona.com/docs/wiki/_media/benchmark:ssb:starschemab.pdf) and then i was thinking if is possible to denormalize all tables from the SSB? So database size will increase a lot but potencially the performance will grow up. Is that right? Is It possible? Thanks and sorry for my poor english

I'm using Spring.NET to create my service instances, but I'm having no luck getting it up and running.     Hello All, I am learning to use the jquery ui:dialog. And when i go to this link for the example for a modal dialog, in ie6 http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#modal The resizing of the dialog doesnt work. I try to replicate the same scenario by myself, with the bgiframe:true option, the resizing still doesnt work. I know there is an iframefix out there to put in the jquery.ui.resizable.js it still doesnt work. I am using jquery-1.4.2.js Any ideas

  • Delphi, ImageList that handles BOTH png and bitmaps.

    Recently I've found TPngImageList component ( http://cc.embarcadero.com/Item/26127 ) which is very good, but it handles only png images ... I'd like to have some imagelist that allows combining of pngimages with bitmaps, as I'm using lots of bitmaps, and I do not want to spend coming week converting those bitmaps to pngs, yet I want to use be able to add PNG images for coming features ... So far I used to convert the PNGs to bitmaps using GIMP if I wasn't able to find any replacement.

I'd like to generate cross-platform paths relative to Maven's built-in property ${basedir}. The problem is that under Windows, ${basedir} resolves to a path containing Windows-style slashes. Is there an easy way for me to get ${basedir} into a form that always uses Unix-style slashes even under Windows?

    I am looking into solutions for providing multiple login methods to my site. I found rpxnow.com and they map user accounts from all the different networks. My question is how do they know that I am user1 on twitter and bigdude2 on facebook? I'm hoping it goes beyond email lookups. The end result I want is a unique user in my database no matter what account they sign in with, dupes are a no-no, but most likely inevitable I am guessing.
