  • POST data getting lost: Content Length = 0

    I've been trying to find a solution for ages with no success. On our app, customers submit a form and on the next page we process it. Sometimes though the data never arrives. This seems to happen for just a few of our customers. Seems to happen with IE7 and using a proxy. It turns out that by design, django does not update the M2M field before calling save(), but only after the save() is complete as part of the form save... How can I access the new values of this field in the override save() ?

  • Dynamically creating controls in MFC (Collection question)

    Hello all, I have some custom control inside of which i should create radiobuttons or checkboxes. The count of child controls is available only at runtime (it loads some file from which it gets this count). So i need to create variable number of controls. Which collection i should use for this purpose? Solution 1: simply use std::vector (or CArray) - not suitable because i want use MFC (CButton). Of course i can Attach() and later Detach() handle to window each time i need this window, but it will give big overhead. Solution 2: use std::vector or CArray or CList or... In this case i take care about making 'new' and appropriate 'delete' when control is unneeded. I am forgetful :) MFC handle map contains pointer to CButton and i can't use simple CArray, because it will move my objects each time when his size will grow. ... and the question is: Which collection i should use for containing variable count of MFC control classes?

  • can some hacker steal the cookie from a user and login with that name on the web site ?

    Reading this question different users get the same cookie value in aspxanonymous and search for a solution, I start thinking, if it is possible for some one to really steal the cookie with some way, and then place it on his browser and login lets say as administrator. Do you know how form authentication can ensure that even if the cookie is stoled, the hacker not actual login using it ? Or do you know any other automatic defense mechanism ? Thank you in advanced.

  • onsubmit() does not work.

    Here is something that I find disturbing. I created a small form, and I'm using AJAX to validate for me. I have a javascript function authenticate() that works sometimes. <form method="post" action="" id="login_form" onsubmit="authenticate()";> // various inputs <input type="button" onclick="authenticate()" value="Log In"> </form> authenticate() works just fine when I click the button. However, if I press enter the form is submitted, and it fails. It also fails if I call onSubmit(). In my debugging, I alert the outgoing texts-- they are identical. However, the Prototype Ajax function calls it the onSuccess, but there is just no response from the server. (The server outputs either "Success" or "Failure"). Why the different behaviors for onClick() vs onSubmit()? The exact same function is called, but the results are different. Any help would be appreciated. --Dave

    I am involved in developing a portal with a public-facing side. For this i created a web application with windows authentication for intranet zone and after that, I created an extension for an internet zone with fba. In the internet extension we have the following requirement: - able to acess to sharepoint backoffice using fba. - have a authentication mecanism for portal visitors, where they can authenticate and acess to a page where they can subscribe the newsletter and define some site appearance (this users can't acess to sharepoint backoffice). My idea is use the aspnet membership provider to authenticate both users and create diferente roles for them. Anyone suggests another approach? Is there any way to ensure that visitors (2 case) do not enter the backoffice portal? Thanks

  • How to create a view to manage associations between HABTM models? (Rails)

    Hello, I am using Ruby on Rails and need to create a view that allows the creation of records through a HABTM relationship to another model. Specifically, I have the following models: Customer and ServiceOverride, and a join table customers_serviceoverrides. Using the customer view for create/update, I need to be able to create, update and delete ServiceOverrides and manage the attributes of the associated model(s) from the same view. Visually I'd prefer to have something like a plus/minus sign to add/delete service overrides, and each serviceoverride record has two string entities which need to be displayed and editable as well. However, if I could just get the code (a kind of nested form, I'm assuming?) working, I could work out the UI aspects. The models are pretty simple: class ServiceOverride < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :customers end class Customer < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :serviceoverrides end The closest thing I've found explaining this online is on this blog but it doesn't really address what I'm trying to do (both manage the linkages to the other model, and edit attributes of that model.     I have a form that is on a UTF-8 encoded page. When I submit the form cgi.FieldStorage converts any non-ascii character to an odd format. For example if I submit the value c. The browser will send %c4%87. I want to convert that to the string \xc4\x87.     Please excuse me if I'm simple here, I want to create a simple widget that people can access from their websites - e.g by copy/past something like <script language="javascript" src="test2.js"></script> <div id="test"></div> anywhere in their web pages. where is dynamically filled via Jquery and the functions in/on test2.js. I can do it if JQuery is actually "printed" on the page of test2.js, but I cannot get any JQuery functions to work if I try to include/call JQuery dynamically. How do you call JQuery via javascript and then get it to work with the functions on the page? And/Or is there an easy way to add the <div id="test"></div> dynamically aswell? Sure I can body.append etc. but that only adds at the bottom of the page. Is there a way to .append in the position where the script include <script language="javascript" src="test2.js"></script> is actually placed? Hope I make sence.

  • Passing variables across a multi page form in php

    Forgive me as I am a newbie. I have a multi page form in which I am using $_SESSIONS to record the variables. <?php session_start(); foreach ( $_POST as $key=>$value ) { if ( $key!="submit" ) { $value= htmlentities(stripslashes(strip_tags($value))); $_SESSION[$key] = $value; } }` I have two problems actually. When I get to a checkform.php that I made that prints out the variables, The variables from page 1 doesn't show up even though that code listed above is on each page. I am using Firefox web developers tool to disable cookies and in the php ini, I altered session.use_trans_sid to 1 to turn it on. For the final page on my checkform.php I print_r($_POST) for the final page which works fine. Why doesn't variables from page 1 not show up? What am I missing? The 2nd problem is that when I print_r($_SESSION), some fields, specifically the checkbox arrays, print as [payment] => Array [agerange] => Array [meals] => Array [mealtypes] => Array What am I missing?
