    how can i have python move to the top of an if statement if nothing is satisfied correctly i have a basic if/else statement like this: print "pick a number, 1 or 2" a = int(raw_input("> ") if a == 1: print "this" if a == 2: print "that" else: print "you have made an invalid choice, try again." what i want is to prompt the user to make another choice for 'a' this if statement without them having to restart the entire program, but am very new to python and am having trouble finding the answer online anywhere.

  • jKey (JavaScript key shortcut plugin) Issue

    Me and a friend are writing a plugin for jQuery that makes it easy for devs to add key shortcuts and we're damn close but no cigar. We're having issues with the key combos. It seems like we are having issues when you call the same selector multiple times on a page. Try pressing alt+a... youll see it works one time, then gets all mangled up. Anyone know how to fix it? It'll be on github after it's corrected and I'd be happy to add "thank you to" link to whoever can fix this in the header with the copyright info :) It's nicely documented and i have all the code and stuff here.   • how not to allow muliple keystokes received at one key press?

    when we press a key and keep pressing it the keypress and keydown event continuously fires. Is there a way to let these fire only after a complete cycle ,eg keydown and then key up. I would like the user not to be able press the key continuously rather would like the user have to press then release the key board to type a character ! so that following case do not occur eg : pppppppppppppppppppppppp when user presses 'p' for 1 sec.

  • Eclipse's Visual Studio Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab Equivalent

    In Visual Studio, I always use Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab to navigate between documents. I see that Eclipse has Ctrl+F6 to navigate between editors, but this isn't nearly the same behavior. The difference being, pressing it once and then again will get you moving back and forth between two files, whereas in VS, it will cause you to navigate forward based on the tab order in the editor. Any ideas on how I can replicate VS's behavior?

    The problem I've encountered is that I am using a keyboardEventListener to make a movieclip run around. As I'm a college student, I'm creating this for an assignment but we are forced to use as3 classes. When I run the code in the maintimeline, there is no problem.     I expect any good program should do all their reads and writes in a loop until all data written/read without relying that write will write everything (even with regular files). Am I right? Implemented simple FUSE filesystem which only allows reading and writing with small buffers, very often returning that it is written less bytes that in a buffer (using -o direct_io). Some programs work, some not. Are them buggy or programs should not expect truncated writes and reads from the regular files?

First I have to do is to create a cursor storing text length, so when cursor changes from 1 to 0 there is nothing to do. The only way to launch the method is when text length is 0 - press backspace - remain to 0. How to catch the event of pressing the backspace key in my UITextField ? Thanks in advance !

  • minLength data validation is not working with Auth component for CakePHP

    Let's say I have a user registration and I'm using the Auth component (/user/register is allowed of course). The problem is if I need to set a minLength validation rule in the model, it doesn't work since the Auth component hashes the password therefore it's always more than my minlength password and it passes even if it's blank. How do I fix this issue? Thanks in advance!
