  • Adding an HTTP Header to the request in a servlet filter

    I'm integrating with an existing servlet that pulls some properties out of the HTTP header. Basically, I'm implementing an interface that doesn't have access to the actual request, it just has access to a map of k-v for the HTTP headers. I need to pass in a request parameter. The plan is to use a servlet filter to go from parameter to header value but of course the HttpServletRequest object doesn't have an addHeader() method. Any ideas?

  • possible to have a background color transition from color A to color B without repeating a pixel sti

    For things like menubars and headers, a background color is nice. But a background color that gracefully transitions from say Blue to White is even nicer. I know this can be done by making a 1-pixel wide, X-pixel tall image file containing the desired fade and repeating it across the div, but does CSS have native support to just define colors and be done with it? Can any other language handle this?

    I'm trying to connect to a RESTful web service, but I'm having some troubles, especially when sending data over PUT and DELETE. With cURL, PUT requires a file to send, and DELETE is just weird. I'm perfectly capable of writing a client using PHP's socket support and writing the HTTP headers myself, but I wanted to know whether you guys have ever used or seen a REST client for PHP?

    I can build a simple dll consisting of a source file, a header file and a definition but now I am progressing beyond a simple toy dll and working towards something more real (ie: more complex). The DLL I am trying to compile has 2 source files, 2 headers and the dreaded stdafx pair. To compile normally you would use /Yc for the pch and /Yu to use it. How do you specify that with in the constraints of mojo-native's compiler options?

  • DataGridView's top left cell value is not displayed.

    I have a DataGridView, without visible row or column headers, and bound to a BindingList. No matter what I try the top left cell (Rows[0].Cells[0]) is always empty. The cell's Visible property is true, but it never displays its contents. If I make some rows and columns invisible, it's still the top left of the visible cells that isn't displayed.

  • Runtime C function details

    Hi, Is there any way to find particular C language function's input and output parameters from a framework (apple's ARM) during the runtime or from any method with out knowing the headers. It is a framework and there are no header files for it.I decompile it with IDA Pro and it gives me the function names but not input and output parameters information. I am able to load those private functions using dlsym. Is it possible to find the parameters info in runtime (C language or Objective C) or from IDA Pro ? Regards, Raghu

  • WCF web service: response is 200/ok, but response body is empty

    I am creating a WCF web api service. My problem is that some methods return a 200/OK response, but the headers and the body are empty. In setting up my web service, I created an ADO.NET Entity Data Model. I chose ADO.NET DbContext Generator when I added a code generation item. In the Model.tt document, I changed HashSet and ICollection to List. I built my website. It used to be that when I coded a method to return a List of an entity (like List<Customer> or List<Employee> in the Northwind database), it worked fine. Over time, I could not return a List of any of those, and could only grab one entity. Now, it's gotten to a point where I can return a List<string> or List<int>, but not a List or an instance of any entity. When I try to get a List<AnyEntity>, the response is 200/OK, but the response headers and body are empty. I have tried using the debugger and Firefox's Web Console. Using FF's WC, I could only get an "undefined" status code. I am not sure where to go from here. EDIT: In trying to grab all Areas from the database, I do this: [WebGet(UriTemplate = "areas")] public List<a1Areas> AllAreas() { return context.a1Areas.ToList(); } I would appreciate any more methods for debugging this. I got a web service that I protect with basic authentication and use ssl. to make it easy for the clients that are gone use this web service I want to skip the 401 and send the credentials with the url (I would like so the customer can access the web service with url from their code / web app), question is this possible?     My iPhone app embeds a UIWebView which loads html via a custom NSProtocol handler I have registered. My problem is that resources referenced in the returned html, which are also loaded via my custom protocol handler, are cached and never reloaded. In particular, my stylesheet is cached: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./styles.css" /> The initial request to load the html in the UIWebView looks like this: NSString* strUrl = [NSMutableString stringWithFormat: @"myprotocol:///entry?id=%d", entryID ]; NSURL* url = [NSURL URLWithString: strUrl]; [_pCurrentWebView loadRequest: [NSURLRequest requestWithURL: url cachePolicy: NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringLocalCacheData timeoutInterval: 60 ]]; (note the cache policy is set to ignore, and I've verified this cache policy carries through to subsequent requests for page resources on the initial load) The protocol handler loads the html from a database and returns it to the client using code like this: // create the response record NSURLResponse *response = [[NSURLResponse alloc] initWithURL: [request URL] MIMEType: mimeType expectedContentLength: -1 textEncodingName: textEncodingName]; // get a reference to the client so we can hand off the data id client = [self client]; // turn off caching for this response data [client URLProtocol: self didReceiveResponse:response cacheStoragePolicy: NSURLCacheStorageNotAllowed]; // set the data in the response to our jfif data [client URLProtocol: self didLoadData:data]; [data release]; (Note the response cache policy is "not allowed"). Any ideas how I can make it NOT cache my styles.css resource? I need to be able to dynamically alter the content of this resource on subsequent loads of html that references this file. I thought clearing the shared url cache would work, but it doesnt: [[NSURLCache sharedURLCache] removeAllCachedResponses]; One thing that does work, but it's terribly inefficient, is to dynamically cache-bust the url for the stylesheet by adding a timestamp parameter: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./styles.css?ts=1234567890" /> To make this work I have to load my html from the db, search and replace the url for the stylesheet with a cache-busting parameter that changes on each request. I'd rather not do this. My presumption is that there is no problem if I were to load my content via the built-in HTTP protocol. In that case, I'm guessing that the UIWebView looks at any Cache-Control flags in the NSURLHTTPResponse object's http headers and abides by them. Since my NSURLResponseObject has no http headers (it's not http...) then perhaps UIWebView just decides to cached the resource (ignoring the NSURLRequest caching directive?). Ideas???

  • Execute SQL SP in Excel VBA

    HI I am having problem with getting all the columns back when i execute following code in excel vba. I only get 6 out of 23 columns back. Connection, command etc works fine (i can see exec command in the SQL Profiler), data headers are created for all 23 columns but i only get data for 6 column. Side Note: it's not prod level code, have missed out error handling on purpose, sp works fine in SQL management studio, ASP.Net, C# win form app, it is for Excel 2003 connecting to SQL 2008.
