  • Adobe-Flash-plugin freezes when skipping ahead

    I am using Firefox 7 and the new official Adobe Flash 64-bit plugin from the Ubuntu Partner repository. It's the adobe-flash package. It works nicely on the first look but when I try to skip ahead in any YouTube video (by clicking on the video progress bar) sound will go on but the video simply freezes at the position it was just before skipping. This is really annoying because I really don't want to watch every video full length. Now maybe there's cleanup work to do? I removed every Flash-related package from the package manager. Maybe it's Firefox? I couldn't find any hint. Maybe it's the video manager (display manager)? I am using KDE on an Ubuntu Natty install. I also enabled hardware acceleration with libdvpau1: sudo bash -c "echo 'EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1' >> /etc/adobe/mms.cfg" (this seems to have no effect at all ...) Ubuntu Natty 64-bit, Firefox 7, Flash 11.01 )

I have no information about how I could do this. I'm willing to try a prototype project. What are the steps that I could take towards implementing such a thing?

  • How can I enable my users to view EPS, PSD, and AI files without the Adobe Creative Suite?

    I have many user's who work on a sales floor and need to be able to open these files just to view them so that they can confirm that the artwork they are getting from a customer is correct before passing it on. I do not want to purchase Adobe Creative Suite licenses for these users so that they can simply view these documents. What is the cheapest and best alternative to the Adobe Creative suite that will realistically open all (or at least some) of the files they are likely to receive? Currently I have tried to use XnView with Ghostscript, Inkscape, and Adobe Acrobat Reader but even with all these combined we still can't open many of the files that we receive.

So, I need only one object of class Reader and it will cache the user details instead of making multiple db calls. I am using static so that it the object gets created only once. Is this the right approach or should I do something else?

    hi, i have to work on skin in flex, but this time , i have to use vector images from adobe illustrator, this is very easy in case of adobe photoshop, as we have .png files, just import them in flash and make them a movie clip, and u r done with the skinnning but i m facing problem when i m copying images from adobe illustrator in to the flash, actually i have a hslider and i have to put vector skin, but when images copied on adobe flash, they lost their corners, so skinning is not perfect, i hope u got it, plzz tell me the solution of making vector skinning thanx in advance

The log reader output is : ********* STATISTICS SINCE AGENT STARTED ************** 02-28-2011 20:12:08 Execution time (ms): 304141 Work time (ms): 304016 Distribute Repl Cmds Time(ms): 303764 Fetch time(ms): 300813 Repldone time(ms): 1826 Write time(ms): 5319 Num Trans: 15500 Num Trans/Sec: 50.984159 Num Cmds: 191639 Num Cmds/Sec: 630.358271 It seems Log Reader Reader-Thread Latency, and I also run 'sp_replcounters' and see more than 20,000 sec replication latency and keep on increasing. I used SQL profiler to monitor sp_replcmds and found sp_replcmds execution time was 11 sec to 15 sec Is it there any way to optimize to make Log Reader read faster from transaction log??? Other information: SQL Server 2008 (SP2) Standard 64 bit

    Window 7 often hangs when i open some pdf file with Adobe Reader. First of all, Adobe Reader crashes and as soon as it stops, the window hangs and after few seconds, it displays a message quoting "Dumping Physical Memory" in a typical Windows98 manner and then the system reboots. This problem persists each time i use Adobe Reader. However, i have installed Foxit Reader to view Pdf files. But there are some issues with that also. As sometimes i have editable files, which could be done in Adobe Reader's newest version only. Suggestions on how to solve this problem would be appreciated.

    Hello I am downloading and storing files locally in the app storage domain. For some reason one of the files gets locked by air. I found this by looking at process explorer. If I clear the browser cache the file never gets locked, only if it attempts to download the file but it exists in browser cache does air lock the damn file. Please can you help? Neil

    Does anyone know an Actionscript equivalent of the javascript getElementsByClassName. What I would like to do is add a custom 'stylename' to various components which I can then use to get a collection of these objects and therefore process their visibility property. The idea is I want to hide various components based on what roles a logged in user has - I just want to make this flexible by adding an array of rolenames to a custom property or use the stylename property on a Canvas or Panel etc. Thanks

The color for each series in the stack is different and am setting that in the 'fill' property of the two series. My doubt is how can i get the color specified in the fill property of the column series from the item renderer. if this works then i can very well use the same renderer for both series. In Video can get thsi question when I attach the camera to Video. I want to avoid making a connection until the user clicks Accept and this doesn't happen until I make the connection request in Audio.     Hello everyone, I have a SWF file which contains of an image (1keyframe) and also, it contains an AS3 file with the following codes: var loader:Loader=new Loader(); var ur:URLRequest=new URLRequest("1.swf"); loader.load(ur); addChild(loader); so basically, i am trying to play the swf file (1.swf - an audio) while the image is being displayed. What I want to know is how will I be able to publish this project into an SWF file which can still play as expected even without the raw 1.swf file. I can publish SWF right now but when I delete the 1.swf file, my generated swf can only display the image. Help me please. Thanks in advance :)

Everything compiles and runs fine under adl, but when the final air file is built and installed, the main class is never initialized. For instance: package { import flash.display.Sprite; public class main extends Sprite { public function main() { trace("Init"); } } } When run under ADL, "Init" will be output to the console, but when installed and run, nothing happens (the constructor for class main is never called).
