• Getting a borderless window to receive mouseMoved events (Cocoa OSX)

  I have a little popup window used for selecting images sorted by groups, and I would like to add a selection box around whatever image is being hovered over. I am trying to this by overriding the mouseMoved event for the window but it seems that a window that has a border-less style mask receives no mouseMoved events even if you have set setAcceptsMouseMoved events to YES. Is there anyway to make a borderless window receive this events?

  Just a little confused here... I have a function in postgres, and when I'm at the pg prompt, I just do: SELECT zp('zc',10,20,90); FETCH ALL FROM zc; I'm wondering how to do this from php? I thought I could just do: $q = pg_query("SELECT zp('zc',10,20,90)"); But, how do I "fetch" from that query?

I don't understand in .net why we have Asychronous calling (delegate.BeginInvoke() & delegate.EndInvoke()) as well as Thread class? I'm little confused which one to use when? Now in this particular case, what should I use Asychronous calling or Thread class? I'm using C#.

  I have looked over the PHP list of supported timezones, but the whole list is a little long to include in a drop-down menu, for the user to select his or her timezone. Is there a list with the main city/area on that can be used? The book states, "An object's type only refers to its interface-the set of request to which it can respond. An object can have many types, and objects of different classes can have the same type." Could someone please better explain what a Type is? I also don't understand how one object can have multiple types...unless the book is speaking of polymorphism....

  Hi I'm interested to find out what would be the good way to make changes to production database and source code in web application (ASP.NET, SQL Server 2008). A little bit more details, we develop on local machines, and then we need to transfer the code and database changes to production (pretty much standard story).   I have two different resolutions, the original one is 567x756 (wXh), the one which I want to display is 768x1024 (wXh). How to find out the scaling ratio for these two resolutions? For example if the font size used in 567x756 resolution is 7 pts then whats the values I should multiply with the font size (7 pts) to display the text in 768x1024 resolution.   I'm implementing my own SessionStateStoreProvider with a schemaless database. It's a little hard to tell from the documentation but it seems as though I will have to have a separate process for cleaning up expired sessions since the database will not have a way to notify the session state store that a session has expired. Am I wrong about this? I haven't seen an alternative example for overriding the SetItemExpireCallback method.

  Evaluating a third party data processing tool, I have bumped into a case where some WinZip files cause an exception: Caused by: gnu.java.util.zip.ZipException: Unknown compression method 98 at gnu.java.util.zip.ZipFile.getInputStream(ZipFile.java:470) I have seen this with files created with WinZip 11.2 and newer. What's the latest version of WinZip (or compatible compression method) that the zip.dll can handle? I've been hunting for some reference on this, but other than unversioned source code, I have had little luck so far.
