• Problem with sqlite database on android platform

  hi all i am developing an application which uses sqlite db for storing records.   Hi, I moved a VS Solution file from an old PC to a new PC. When I opened the solution in VS2010, I found that the database connections in database explorer was not present. Now I want the project to connect to a SQL Server database which is local to the new PC.   I am able to create, write and read an SQLite Database in my Android App. I have a copy of the Database that is fully populated with data, and I want to get that data into the App's Database. Is it possible to access my pouplaed database from inside my App? Or can I at least create a copy of the populated database and then use that copy? Or do I need to do a .dump and put all the inserts into the Android code?

  When I copy a database from one server to another via backup and restore, I find I have to recreate the users in the database. I can't login as them right after the copy - I get cannot open default database, when the database that was just copied is the default database. Why is this? The logins exist on the target copy server.

  Disclaimer: I'm very much an accidental SharePoint admin so I greatly appreciate your patience. My SharePoint farm's database server is EOL and about to die. I have managed to get the config database (SharePoint_Config) moved over to the new database server and even managed to get the Central Administration site to use the new database server. I have even added the new database server to the farm as a content database server. My problem right now is with the web app's content database (WSS_Content). I already have a copy of the content database setup and ready to go on the new database server but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the SharePoint web app's database over to it. Is this even possible? If so, how would I do it? If not, would I have to create a new web app and then restore (and overwrite) its WSS_Content database with my existing one?

LaTeX support--I can type in LaTeX in the editor and it will show the math properly. No anonymous anything--must sign up and be logged in to view and comment Not as important, but convenient: Admin controls, e.g. detailed statistics, see who posts or views what when, control who posts / views, etc. Hosting: Ideally, if there's some software I can install on "my" own server, that would be ideal. But if we can't host it, it'd still be good to find some free (or maybe even paid) service elsewhere that would host the blog if it provided those tools. Any thoughts? I have no experience with this.   Is there a program that allows me to pass in a video and capture the screen at every n frames? For example maybe I want to export screenshots at 24 frames per second from point A to point B, so the program will be exporting 24 images per second. The amount of frames I would like to capture can be specified (maybe I only want 1 fps, maybe 10 fps, maybe 24, 30, 60, ..) Preferably, it would be part of a larger program that supports various video formats. At least, it should support the more common formats out there.

  I've been looking through some of the tools available for measuring network throughput, namely iperf, bwping, ttcp, etc. I am planning on doing throughput tests over a long period of time, so what I really need is good graphing output, preferably rrd graphs. The Jperf frontend for iperf will generate a graph, and bmon has a nice command-line graph, but these simply count seconds since the test was started. I am trying to measure trends in throughput over times of the day, so a graph with times and days is necessary. So a way to get iperf to log to RRDs would be best, if this isn't possible could someone point me toward another solution?

  I have a 90 GB SQL Server database that I want to make more manageable. It stores stock data from 50+ different stocks from 2009 and 2010, and each stock is a separate table. Some tables have hundreds of millions of rows, and other have just a few million. What I want to do is somehow split the database, so that I don't have a single database file that is 90 GB. What I want is to be able to somehow magically split all the tables so that I can backup the 2009 data once and not have to keep on including it in the backup every time I backup the entire database, however, I would like the 2009 data to be included whenever I do a query. Is partitioning the database the way to go? Will it do the above for me, or will I need some other solution? I research partitioning, but I wasn't sure if that would solve all my problems. I wasn't able to find anything that would tell me whether or not it would migrate prexisting data, or whether it only worked for newly inserted data. Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.   Does anybody know a few details about signed software and /Applications/Utilities/Installer.app? I didn't find more at Wikipedia (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Installer_%28Mac_OS_X%29) and the UNIX-Manual (man 8 installer). I have here a valid signature from iLife 11 Installer.app (http://i.imgur.com/Y3raY.jpg). Does this mean I can be 100% sure that nothing is modified? It means I can trust this PKG because signed by Apple? Or did I get something wrong?

Alternatively, is there a simple VB/JS script that can do this?   Do you know any small standalone and free tool, that can be run in console, to backup / restore ADAM / AD LDS database files (like adamntds.dit, edbres00001.jrs etc.). I tried to stop ADAM service and copy / paste these files to other location but afterwards I was unable to restore ADAM from these files. I know I could use on ws 2003 some backup tool that was provided by microsoft but it seems to be unavailable on ws 2008.
