    Hi looking for an events management solution. Admins would be able to create new event pages with information and booking forms that connect to a payment gateway. Most of what I've seen is outdated and hard to use and back office intergration is zero or minimal. the front end pages are dull and use frames!! Looking for upto date online software similar to what they are doing with Email marketing solutions (interspire, mailchimp) these application are easy to use and look the business. Thanks

  • Domain authentication used for kerberos based authentication of users on my server

    Suppose a user process has authenticated itself against domain's directory server via kerberos, and then attempts opens a network socket to my server application. My server application has a white-list of users from the domain directory server. How does my server app authenticate the user from the directory based on this socket opening attempt? (To keep things simple - let's say my server is written in Java, and the directory server is Active Directory) EDIT My question is about how the client asks for an authentication token.

    I'm looking for recommendations for an easy to use reporting/business intelligence tool that can interface with an sql server or access database. It can be web-based or a desktop tool. Ideally it would be freeware or low cost, and easy to use for users who are not that technically savvy (below the level of someone who can generate reports and complicated queries in Access). Any tools I've seen so far (such as Crystal Reports) are either too expensive or too complicated to use for non-power users.

  • Squid allow both authenticated and ip based logins

    I have a proxy server which allows users to connect and authenticates them via user/pass but some of them are complaining about this method since not many of the available proxy software support that method so I wish to config my squid in such way that it allows members to connect via user/pass or based on their pc ip but I'm not sure if that could work.   • How do I make a LDAP query-based dynamic distribution group in Exchange 2010

    I see that there were ways in Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 to just put in an LDAP query and it would populate the group for you. Is there any way to do that in Exchange 2010? I know there's dynamic distribution groups but I don't want to create the group based on one of their pre-set queries and I don't want to mess around with "custom attributes". I just want to put an LDAP query in there and make it run it to populate the distribution group.

  • Excel 2010: dynamic update of drop down list based upon datasource validation worksheet changes

    I have one worksheet for setting up the data sources of multiple data validation lists. in other words, I'm using this worksheet to provide drop down lists to multiple other worksheets. I need to dynamically update all worksheets upon any of a single or several changes on the data source worksheet. I may understand this should come with event macro over the entire workbook. My question is how to achieve this keeping the "OFFSET" formula across the whole workbook ? Thx To support my question, I put the piece of code that I'm trying to get it working : Provided the following informations : I'm using such a formula for a pseudo dynamic update of the drop down lists, for example : =OFFSET(MyDataSourceSheet!$O$2;0;0;COUNTA(MyDataSourceSheet!O:O)-1) I looked into the pearson book event chapter but I'm too noob for this.   • Remote Server: Please wait for the System Event Notification Service

    I was rebooting a remote server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) over remote desktop and the session now shows the blue screen during the shutdown sequence, and the message "Please wait for the System Event Notification Service..." It seems that everything is still running on the server (for instance, http://jeffhandley.com is still responding), but I need to get the machine to finish the reboot sequence. How can I force the machine past this point? It's been stuck there for about 30 minutes.

  • URL Based Internal Redirecting

    Basically, we have one external IP address, several servers internally and want to redirect to each internal server based on request URL. We do not want to install another piece of hardware to do this for us but we have a firewall running Linux that currently forwards to only one of the internal servers. Example of our setup can be seen here: http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/5469/drawing1br.jpg NOTE: domain.com does not point to this box nor would we like it to. Subdomains are pointed manually to our global IP address.

  • Debian-based image installation

    Is there a preferred way to create root file-systems for Debian-based customized installations? We are currently going with multistrap but although it's better than hand-crafted chroot stuff, it still has a lot of edges and corners. Is there a more reliable and less error-prone way to produce a root filesystem of a Debian installation with some additional .debs installed? (I don't want to send out a Debian installer with a preseed file though.)

  • Advice needed on how to start web programming? [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: Best approach to learning web programming I have resisted doing web programming for a while, but I have come to the realization that I need to learn it and may have resisted do to fear of the unknown. I am a regular applications and systems programmer with no real idea of how to even get started. I have tried to start a few times, rails, django, tornado, web.py, cherrypy, but always get discouraged and quit. The most web programming I have done was in HTML during 1995 for my geocities site. I have pretty decent experience with regular programming in C, Python, Assembly and Java. Just looking for a way to get started and get a good overview of the different technologies and frameworks. I am not doing this for a job or employment, just to learn.
