  Hi, I am looking for a good, standard way to generate "output" in my RCP programm and print it. This should work as it works on Windows, Mac OS and Linux with the standard print dialog. I am aware of the Birt project, but I could not find any hints about how to implement it within a RCP programm and how to invoke the standard print dialog and how to pass the Birt generated report to the printer.   The system realizes a game “Think animal”. Main use case is: 1. System offers user to think about any animal and the system will try to guess it 2. The system starts asking questions from the start of decision tree. Ex., “Question: It has fur?”, and provides possible answers – yes or no. 3. If the user answers Yes, the system proceeds to these steps: a. System tries to guess animal that has that feature, ex. “My guess: Is it bear?” and provides with possible answers – yes or no. b. If the user answer is Yes, the system offers to think off another animal 4. If the user answers is No, the system moves to No node in decision tree and moves to 2 step (and starts from asking from new node). 5. If system runs out of nodes (i.e., empty yes or no node was reached): a. the system announces that it has given up, and ask user to enter: i. What animal he had in mind ii. What is his characteristic feature b. User enters requested data c. The system creates a new node and links it to yes or no of last active node.   Hello, I trying to make my first AJAX with JSON call using jQuery and CodeIgniter. But for some weird reason it's not working. • IP Camera working on lan but not on internet

  My IP cam model is Genius 350TR, I tested the cam at home on lan and internet and it worked. Then I shifted it to an office. It works on the office lan setup but I cannot connect to the ip cam from home. The IP cam is configured for port 192.168.0.30:7070 and it has a port forwarded to publicIP:7071 When I telnet to that public IP it connects to that port. However when I try to access the ip cam from a web browser it only shows me the configuration page and settings and the video is blank and it says connecting for some time and then says disconnected. The cam is configured for HTTP on internet and UDP on Lan. The office setup is ISP --- WifiRouter --- PC With Wifi card --- Switch --- IP CAM Is there a way to debug this problem?

• Send all traffic over VPN connection not working Windows VPN host

  I am trying to get a mac (10.8) to connect to thru vpn to a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 pass all requests from the mac to the server. The VPN is setup and I can connect and access the server thru a web browser, but for all other sites, the DNS lookup fails. I have tried adding a DNS server to the VPN Host. ex. Lets say the the VPN server also hosts a website example.com. I connect to the VPN with my mac and point a browser to example.com and everything works fine. but when I point the browser to google.com it just sits there and will eventually come back with a DNS lookup failed message. HOWEVER: I tried running the command dig @myServersIpHere www.google.com. on the mac and it comes back with correct IP addresses. I really dont know what to do from here. How can I route all requests from my mac, thru my windows server via VPN?

• Internet Working, Browsing Not.

  I have a very odd problem that I can't resolve. I am connected to the internet, but my browsing doesn't work. I don't mean a web browser - I mean browsing. Firefox, Chrome, Curl all fail to successfully connect to an HTTP address. However existing connections, e.g. to mail in Outlook (Exchange Server and also IMAP server) continue to work. Also, the internet is on, I can confirm both from my machine (other ports / connections) as well as from any other computer connected to the same network. Additionally, it appears to be HTTP, not simple a port issue as HTTP over port 8443 (Tortoise SVN if you must know - running over HTTP not over SVN) also fails. I am using Windows Vista SP2 (build 6002). It seems to "creep up" in that after running the computer for a few hours it will fail. (No found way to systematically reproduce the problem.) Additionally, it seems to be more prone on days where the internet connection is flaky already (not sure why the internet is flaky, just is, lot's of failed browsing requests and have to retry/reload often). What I have tried (when the problem arises) - none have yielded any resolution: Resetting the network connection (dis-connect, re-connect) Disable/re-enable the network adapter Double-checked the ip settings Double-checked the HOSTS file. Note: DNS continues to work (both new and cached responses to DNS queries). (Thanks for the suggestion Daniel and antenore.) Checked the routing tables (ip4 only as ipv6 is beyond my understanding) resetting all involved hardware (routers and modems) Close and reopen browsers Looked for malware interference: Run HijackThis Looked for suspicious processes using SysInternals procexp. Looked for explorer hijacks, lsa provider interference, winsock provider interference using SysInternals Autoruns. Run a complete anti-virus scan. Reviewed the output of a netstat -onab to see if there were stuck ports open or unusual processes running somewhere The only thing that works is to do a full reboot. That works 100% of the time to restore browsing. What else can I try to nail down the problem?

  I would like to be able to enter ALT codes in Gvim on Windows 7 as documented on the following site: Alt Codes On Windows (Windows 7 in my case), to generate a character via an ALT code you make sure that the NumLock key on your keypad is toggled on, hold down the ALT key, enter the keycode on the numeric keypad, and then release the ALT key. However this does not work in Gvim on Windows (which ignores the fact that I am pressing the ALT key and just prints to entered keypad key directly onto the screen). How can I get these keystroke combinations to work in Gvim as well? Thanks. EDIT: As the answer below points out, the way to insert non-ASCII characters for which you do not have entries on your keyboard without changing the keyboard layout is as follows: Make sure you are in insert mode, and then type CTRL-V followed by the Unicode character code of interest, for instance: CTRL-V u00E0 (generates à) CTRL-V u00C8 (generates È) CTRL-V u00E8 (generates è) CTRL-V u00E9 (generates é) CTRL-V u00EC (generates ì) CTRL-V u00F2 (generates ò) etc... • Targus USB-to-RS232 not working with Linux?

  I have the Targus PA088 USB to RS232 converter, but it seems that it does not work with linux. Its RX and TX lights are flashing, but I can't see the data in minicom/picocom. When using it with Windows and hterm, everything's fine. Any idea what could be the problem? We have a bunch of PDF files, I'm the CA and each one should send me a signed PDF for me to be verified. The XXXElaborato.pdf extracted by munpack is a little bit smaller than the original. What's the problem with this procedure? In theory, they should send me the signed S/MIME message and I should be able to read the PDF within it. Why can't I restore the original content of the PDF file?

• Flash not working in Safari on OS X 10.5

  About 2 weeks ago my browsers started bothering me to upgrade flash. Eventually, I did, and now I have no flash at all in Safari. I downloaded and installed the newest flash installer from Adobe. Firefox works fine. Safari does not, I just get the blue lego and a 'No handler for this content type' message. Other plugins, such as 1Password, seem fine. I have tried: Reinstalling flash umpteen times Deleting /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt Deleting ~/Library/Application Data/Safari I'm not sure what else to do.

• Working local and upload on save in Eclipse with Aptana

  Currently I am working in Dreamweaver for my web project. The way I work is open local files, and when I save the files are uploaded via FTP to my server. This works great because I have the same files local and on the server, and I don't have to move the files around a lot. Is this possible in eclipse with Aptana? I have tried working with RSE(remote system explorer), but then I only work with the remote files. I have also tried the normal Aptana FTP features, but there is no 'save on upload' feature. Does anyone have some recommendations for me?

• Belking Wireless Router unable to connect to internet although wireless connection is working

  I have a Belkin Basic N150 Wireless router. I'm trying to set up wireless connection using the wired ports my university has provided in my hostel room. Usually, when I connect my laptop using a LAN wire through the port, my settings are like IP: 10.5.130.X Subnet Mask: 255.255.254.0 Default Gateway: 10.5.130.250 DNS Server: 10.200.1.11 and I'm able to connect to the internet. Now instead of connecting my laptop directly, I've connected the lan wire to the Belkin Wireless Router, set the router as "Use as an Access Point" and in the IP field, I've put up 10.5.130.1. Now I've set the IP of my system manually to 10.5.130.3. I'm able to connect to the wi-fi but I'm still not able to connect to the internet. What am I missing?

• APC File Cache not working but user cache is fine

  I have just got a VPS (with cPanel/WHM) to test what gains i could get in my application with using apc file cache AND user cache. So firstly I got the PHP 5.3 compiled in as a DSO (apache module). Then installed APC via PECL through SSH. (First I tried with WHM Module installer, it also had the same problem, so I tried it via ssh) All seemed fine and phpinfo showed apc loaded and enabled. Then I checked with apc.php. All seemed OK But as I started testing my php application, the stats in apc for File Cache Information state: Cached Files 0 ( 0.0 Bytes) Hits 1 Misses 0 Request Rate (hits, misses) 0.00 cache requests/second Hit Rate 0.00 cache requests/second Miss Rate 0.00 cache requests/second Insert Rate 0.00 cache requests/second Cache full count 0 Which meant no PHP files were being cached, even though I had browsed through over 10 PHP files having multiple includes. So there must have been some Cached Files. But the user cache is functioning fine. User Cache Information Cached Variables 0 ( 0.0 Bytes) Hits 1000 Misses 1000 Request Rate (hits, misses) 0.84 cache requests/second Hit Rate 0.42 cache requests/second Miss Rate 0.42 cache requests/second Insert Rate 0.84 cache requests/second Cache full count 0 Its actually from an APC caching test script which tries to retrieve and store 1000 entries and gives me the times. A sort of simple benchmark. Can anyone help me here. Even though apc.cache_by_default = 1, no php files are being cached. Update: I have tried following things and none cause APC file cache to populate 1. set apc.enable_cli = 1 AND run a script from cli 2. Set apc.max_file_size = 5M (just in case) 3. switched php handler from dso to FastCGI in WHM (then switched it back to dso as it did not solve the problem) 4. Even tried restarting the container

  I installed the Guest Additions, installed the isight-firmware-tools by using the AppleUSBVideoSupport file but I still can't get access to the iSight webcam.
