  I must be missing the proper term or else I'm sure I could find the answer by searching... in any case, here's what I want to do. Through javascript, I get four variables (A, B, C, and D) that I would like to sort, and still keep track of the variable name (since it's encoded with meaning information). Sample Data: A = 2; B = 1; C = 4; D = 3; What I need to do now is sort them in value order (4,3,2,1) such that I can actually know the variable name ordering (C,D,A,B).

  I am encountering a problem for my database.   In a grid I have a date/time field where I would like the user to be able to type in short-hand formats for dates and times. For example, if they type in "435p" and then focus off of the cell they get the message "The value you entered isn't valid for this field.". Instead, I want to trap a pre-validationevent and change it to "4:35pm" for them. What event can I use? I've tried: LostFocus & BeforeUpdate: too late (validation fires before event) Dirty & OnChange: too early (they haven't left the cell yet) Or is there a way to turn off the native validation rule that is checking for date formats?

• Get the checked value of 2 sets of radiobuttons using jQuery

  Im having a weird issue here. Its probably just something stupid but I dont see it. I have two sets of radiobuttons, group1 and group2, and I want to get their values in a function. I have 1 clickevent on all radiobuttons in that div and when I click them I want to display the check-values of both groups. But he only reads the value of the first group. and so it always displays 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 instead of possibly 1-2 3-1 etc.... There is a jsfiddle here what am I missing??

  I am having the case in which a function with the following code: func halfMatch(text1, text2 string) []string { ... if (condition) { return nil // That's the final code path) } ... } is returning []string(nil) instead of nil. At first, I thought that perhaps returning nil in a function with a particular return type would just return an instance of a zero-value for that type. But then I tried a simple test and that is not the case. Does anybody know why would nil return an empty string slice?

  I have a field called Timestamp, that stores its values as text as opposed to an actual Timestamp. The logging application is unchangeable, unfortunately. So table.Timestamp -> text field with format -> "Wed Mar 02 13:28:59 CDT 2011" I have been developing a query to purge all but the most recent row using this as my Timestamp selector, which is also converting the string into a date - MAX( STR_To_DATE( table.Timestamp , '%a %b %d %H:%i:%s CDT %Y' ) My query works perfectly... However, what I've found is that the string value - 'CDT' - changes between 'CDT' and 'CST' depending on whether the current time is daylight savings time or not. During daylight savings time, it logs as 'CDT', and vice versa. So all the rows that contain 'CST' get ignored when I run this - MAX( STR_To_DATE( table.Timestamp , '%a %b %d %H:%i:%s CDT %Y' ) and all the rows that contain 'CDT' get ignored when I run this - MAX( STR_To_DATE( table.Timestamp , '%a %b %d %H:%i:%s CST %Y' ) Is there a way to make it run against both string formats?

It's times like this when I wish the preprocessor didn't treat strings in a special way and would process their content just like normal code.   I am listing all FK constraints for a given table using INFORMATION_SCHEMA set of views with the following query: SELECT X.UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_NAME, "C".*, "X".* FROM "INFORMATION_SCHEMA"."KEY_COLUMN_USAGE" AS "C" INNER JOIN "INFORMATION_SCHEMA"."REFERENTIAL_CONSTRAINTS" AS "X" ON "C"."CONSTRAINT_NAME" = "X"."CONSTRAINT_NAME" AND "C"."TABLE_NAME" = 'MY_TABLE' AND "C"."TABLE_SCHEMA" = 'MY_SCHEMA' Everything works perfectly well, but for one particular constraint the value of UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_NAME column is wrong, and I need it in order to find additional information from the referenced Column. Basically, for most of the rows the UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_NAME contains the name of the unique constraint (or PK) in the referenced table, but for one particular FK it is the name of some other unique constraint. I dropped and re-created the FK - did not help. My assumption is that the meta-data is somehow screwed. Is there a way to rebuild the meta data so that the INFORMATION_SCHEMA views would actually show the correct data?
