• WPF: Why all the love for the Grid control?

  Seen various examples of WPF applications I've seen the use of the Grid control for almost anything, even simplest things with only 1 column or row. Also, the WPF templates start with an empty grid. For me, using StackPanel or DockPanel is less verbose and are better for maintenance (think adding a row later and having to add +1 to all the other rows) Why is Grid better or what I am missing?

• 3 Dimensional Array

  I don't know why I'm experiencing so much trouble with this, but I would like to have an array that basically represents a layer number and x,y coordinates so I could essentially say, int i = array[layer,x,y] and get the corrisponding value per layer. I create the array.. int[,,] myarray ...initialize it myarray = new int[0,width, height]; ...and it blows up when try and grab a value. int n = myarray[0,1,1] What am I missing?

  I'm trying to write some c++ code to use the ITaskbarList3, but I'm getting that error. I have confirmed that I am including shobjidl.h (but I checked and this file only defines up to ITaskbarList2). I have Visual Studios 2008 (SP1) and I have Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 installed. Does anyone know what I am missing?

  I have a form and I've passed its handle to the OpenGL class to draw. I want to get keyboard commands from the user but it seems the procedures for getting the keys doesn't run (I've tested it). Although, I am using OnMouseDown with no problem at all. Is there anything I am missing here? Anyone has a solution?

• winforms - datagridview row height doesn't resize when defaultcellstyle is set to wrapmode

  Hi folks, i have a datagrid that displays long text on couple columns. I have set the cells defaultcellstyle to wrap. This works but now the row height doesn't change to compensate for the wrapped text & the text is getting cut-off. What am i missing? TIA

  I am just wondering if it's possible to I cancel "Drag and Drop" operation in Java/Swing programmatically? So the effect would be similar to if the user pressed the "ESC" key? I was expecting DragSourceDragEvent or DragSourceContext to have a cancelDrag() method, similar to DropTargetDragEvent which has acceptDrag() and rejectDrag() methods (both of which does not do what I want). So my code is : [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"tel://18"]]; It doesn't work and I get this message in the console : < warning Ignoring unsafe request to open URL tel://18 But I saw other application that have the same button fully working ! I read that you need to obtain an authentication token and send it with the POST request. Does Android provide a way to request this token? And how would GAE process it?   I recently built a site using Asp.Net. The way I chose to implement user login is through a base 'UserAwareController' class, that all controllers extend. It contained a reference to the UserRepository, and exposed a protected GetCurrentUser() method that concrete controllers could query. The whole process felt a bit wishy-washy to me. Is Action Filters a good alternative? What are its benefits? Is there something else I might be missing?

Using Rhino Mocks, how do I set an expectation that a method taking an Action will be called, but I want to use IgnoreArguments.
