  • jquery mouseover/mouseout

    - by Hulk
    In the following code once the mouse out is done the mouse over again does not work ,what is the work around for this <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <style> /* div { background:#def3ca; margin:3px; width:80px; display:none; float:left; text-align:center; }*/ </style> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js"></script> </head> <body> <div id="playControls" style="position:absolute; bottom:0px; left:0px; right:0px;color:blue;"> Mouse over me </div> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $("#playControls").mouseover(function () { alert('here'); $("div:eq(0)").show("fast", function () { /* use callee so don't have to name the function */ $(this).next("div").show("fast", arguments.callee); }); }); $("#playControls").mouseout(function () { alert('here'); $("div").hide(2000); }); }); </script> </body> </html>

  • Multiple Silverlight Unit Test Projects in Solution

    - by IUnknown
    I am building out a number of Silverlight 4.0 libraries that are part of the same solution. I like to break them into separate projects and have a Unit Test project for each: SolutionX -LibraryProject1 ---Class1.cs ---Class2.cs -LibraryProject1.Test ---Tests1.cs ---Tests2.cs -LibraryProject2 ---Class1.cs ---Class2.cs ---CLass3.cs -LibraryProject2.Test ---Tests1.cs ---Tests2.cs ---Tests3.cs -LibraryProject3 ---Class1.cs -LibraryProject3.Test ---Tests1.cs This works great when using VS regular test projects and infrastructure because I can create and execute list of test that are aggregated from each Test project. But with the Silverlight Unit Test Framework since the Silverlight Unit Test Project must be the "start up project" I cannot figure how to run a collection of tests from each test project in one go. I have to run each separately then switch the starting project each time. I would prefer to avoid create complex build scripts or build definitions - is there a way to run all the tests at once? -Thanks

  • Moq broken? Not working with .net 4.0

    - by vdh_ant
    Hi guys I am receiving the following exception when trying to run my unit tests using .net 4.0 under VS2010 with moq 3.1. Attempt by security transparent method 'SPPD.Backend.DataAccess.Test.Specs_for_Core.When_using_base.Can_create_mapper()' to access security critical method 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting.Assert.IsNotNull(System.Object)' failed. Assembly 'SPPD.Backend.DataAccess.Test, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' is marked with the AllowPartiallyTrustedCallersAttribute, and uses the level 2 security transparency model. Level 2 transparency causes all methods in AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers assemblies to become security transparent by default, which may be the cause of this exception. The test I am running is really straight forward and looks something like the following: [TestMethod] public void Can_create_mapper() { this.SetupTest(); var mockMapper = new Moq.Mock<IMapper>().Object; this._Resolver.Setup(x => x.Resolve<IMapper>()).Returns(mockMapper).Verifiable(); var testBaseDa = new TestBaseDa(); var result = testBaseDa.TestCreateMapper<IMapper>(); Assert.IsNotNull(result); //<<< THROWS EXCEPTION HERE Assert.AreSame(mockMapper, result); this._Resolver.Verify(); } I have no idea what this means and I have been looking around and have found very little on the topic. The closest reference I have found is this http://dotnetzip.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=80274 but its not very clear on what they did to fix it... Anyone got any ideas?

  • Test run errors with MSTest in VS2010

    - by Tomas Lycken
    When I run my Unit Tests, all tests pass, but instead of "Test run succeeded" or whatever the success message is, I get "Test run error" in the little bar that tells me how many of my tests pass, even though all my tests passed. When i click the text, I'm taken to a page that tells me the following two things happened: Warning: conflict during test run deployment: deployment item '[...]\Booking.Web.dll' directly or indirectly referenced by the test container [...]\Booking.Web.Tests.dll cannot be deployed to 'Booking.Web.dll' because otherwise the file '[...]\Booking.Web.dll' would override deployment item '[...]\Booking.Web.dll' directly or indirectly referenced by '[...]\Booking.Web.Tests.dll' Error: Cannot initialize the ASP.NET project 'Booking.Web' Exception was thrown: The website could not be configured correctly; getting ASP.NET proccess information failed. Requesting 'http://localhost:54131/VSEnterpriseHelper.axd' returned an error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. I don't understand half of what it's complaining about. How do I get rid of these errors? (And for reference: Booking.Web is an ASP.NET MVC 2 project, Booking.Web.Tests is a Test project, [...] is the full local path to the projects in my environment, in most of the cases above to the /bin/debug/ folder inside the Booking.Web project)

  • Spork servers super slow (>3m) to start for RSpec & Cucumber BDD

    - by Eric M.
    I recently installed a fresh development setup on my laptop and now notice that my instances of spork take several minutes to start up. This is also most likely of the RSpec and Cucumber tests start up times running super slow. I ran in diagnostic mode with the -d flag and received the output below. Anyone have a clue why this is suddenly happening? • How do I use beta test Perl modules from test Perl scripts?

    - by DVK
    If my Perl code has a production code location and "beta" code location (e.g. production Perl code us in /usr/code/scripts, BETA Perl code is in /usr/code/beta/scripts; production Perl libraries are in /usr/code/lib/perl and BETA versions of those libraries are in /usr/code/beta/lib/perl, is there an easy way for me to achieve such a setup? The exact requirements are: The code must be THE SAME in production and BETA location. To clarify, to promote any code (library or script) from BETA to production, the ONLY thing which needs to happen is literally issuing cp command from BETA to prod location - both the file name AND file contents must remain identical. BETA versions of scripts must call other BETA scripts and BETA libraries (if exist) or production libraries (if BETA libraries do not exist) The code paths must be the same between BETA and production with the exception of base directory (/usr/code/ vs /usr/code/beta/) I will present how we solved the problem as an answer to this question, but I'd like to know if there's a better way.

  • CKEditor inside jQuery Dialog, how do I build it?

    - by Ben Dauphinee
    So, I'm working with CKEditor and jQuery, trying to build a pop-out editor. Below is what I have coded so far, and I can't seem to get it working the way I want it to. Basically, click the 'Edit' link, dialog box pops up, with the content to edit loaded into the CKEditor. Also, not required, but helpful if you can suggest how to do it. I can't seem to find out how to make the save button work in CKEditor (though I think the form will do it). Thanks in advance for any help. $(document).ready(function(){ var config = new Array(); config.height = "350px"; config.resize_enabled = false; config.tabSpaces = 4; config.toolbarCanCollapse = false; config.width = "700px"; config.toolbar_Full = [["Save","-","Cut","Copy","Paste","-","Undo","Redo","-","Bold","Italic", "-", "NumberedList","BulletedList","-","Link","Unlink","-","Image","Table"]]; $("a.opener").click(function(){ var editid = $(this).attr("href"); var editwin = \'<form><div id="header"><input type="text"></div><div id="content"><textarea id="content"></textarea></div></form>\'; var $dialog = $("<div>"+editwin+"</div>").dialog({ autoOpen: false, title: "Editor", height: 360, width: 710, buttons: { "Ok": function(){ var data = $(this).val(); } } }); //$(this).dialog("close"); $.getJSON("ajax/" + editid, function(data){ alert("datagrab"); $dialog.("textarea#content").html(data.content).ckeditor(config); alert("winset"); $dialog.dialog("open"); }); return false; }); });

  • Mocking the CAL EventAggregator with Moq

    - by toxvaerd
    Hi, I'm using the Composite Application Library's event aggregator, and would like to create a mock for the IEventAggregator interface, for use in my unit test. I'm planning on using Moq for this task, and an example test so far looks something like this: var mockEventAggregator = new Mock<IEventAggregator>(); var mockImportantEvent = new Mock<ImportantEvent>(); mockEventAggregator.Setup(e => e.GetEvent<SomeOtherEvent>()).Returns(new Mock<SomeOtherEvent>().Object); mockEventAggregator.Setup(e => e.GetEvent<SomeThirdEvent>()).Returns(new Mock<SomeThirdEvent>().Object); // ... mockEventAggregator.Setup(e => e.GetEvent<ImportantEvent>()).Returns(mockImportantEvent.Object); mockImportantEvent.Setup(e => e.Publish(It.IsAny<ImportantEventArgs>())); // ...Actual test... mockImportantEvent.VerifyAll(); This works fine, but I would like know, if there is some clever way to avoid having to define an empty mock for every event-type my code might encounter (SomeOtherEvent, SomeThirdEvent, ...)? I could of course define all my events this way in a [TestInitialize] method, but I would like to know if there is a more clever way? :-)

    I've been looking for a pre-built jQuery component that I could use to build an inbox for a messaging application: http://jqueryui.com/demos/accordion/ I was thinking that if I could close all of the elements in the Accordion, that would be equivalent to showing a list of unopened messages when the user first logs into their Inbox. And then, by clicking on the leaves of the Accordion, they can see each message one by one. Is this a good idea or is there some other jQuery plugin that would work better for this type of functionality?

  • Stresstesting ASP.NET/IIS with WCAT

    - by MartinHN
    I'm trying to setup a stress/load test using the WCAT toolkit included in the IIS Resources. Using LogParser, I've processed a UBR file with configuration. It looks something like this: [Configuration] NumClientMachines: 1 # number of distinct client machines to use NumClientThreads: 100 # number of threads per machine AsynchronousWait: TRUE # asynchronous wait for think and delay Duration: 5m # length of experiment (m = minutes, s = seconds) MaxRecvBuffer: 8192K # suggested maximum received buffer ThinkTime: 0s # maximum think-time before next request WarmupTime: 5s # time to warm up before taking statistics CooldownTime: 6s # time to cool down at the end of the experiment [Performance] [Script] SET RequestHeader = "Accept: */*\r\n" APP RequestHeader = "Accept-Language: en-us\r\n" APP RequestHeader = "User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.2; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)\r\n" APP RequestHeader = "Host: %HOST%\r\n" NEW TRANSACTION classId = 1 NEW REQUEST HTTP ResponseStatusCode = 200 Weight = 45117 verb = "GET" URL = "http://Url1.com" NEW TRANSACTION classId = 3 NEW REQUEST HTTP ResponseStatusCode = 200 Weight = 13662 verb = "GET" URL = "http://Url1.com/test.aspx" Does it look OK? I execute the controller with this command: wcctl -z StressTest.ubr -a localhost The Client(s) is executed like this: wcclient localhost When the client is executed, I get this error: main client thread Connect Attempt 0 Failed. Error = 10061 Has anyone in this world ever used WCAT?

  • TestContext is null

    - by Budda
    Pretty simple test: [TestClass] public class MyTestClass { private TestContext _testContext; protected TestContext TestContext { get { return _testContext; } set { _testContext = value; } } [TestMethod] [HostType("ASP.NET")] [UrlToTest("http://localhost/MyPage.aspx")] public void TestMyPage() { Assert.IsNotNull(TestContext); } } Fails... Now I am using VS2008 Development edition. Is there any possibility to fix this? Or I need to have a Test (or Team Suite) edition? Thanks. P.S. Access to TestContext object is required to have access to it's RequestedPage property

  • How do you unit test a LINQ query using Moq and Machine.Specifications?

    - by Phil.Wheeler
    I'm struggling to get my head around how to accommodate a mocked repository's method that only accepts a Linq expression as its argument. Specifically, the repository has a First() method that looks like this: public T First(Expression<Func<T, bool>> expression) { return All().Where(expression).FirstOrDefault(); } The difficulty I'm encountering is with my MSpec tests, where I'm (probably incorrectly) trying to mock that call: public abstract class with_userprofile_repository { protected static Mock<IRepository<UserProfile>> repository; Establish context = () => { repository = new Mock<IRepository<UserProfile>>(); repository.Setup<UserProfile>(x => x.First(up => up.OpenID == @"http://testuser.myopenid.com")).Returns(GetDummyUser()); }; protected static UserProfile GetDummyUser() { UserProfile p = new UserProfile(); p.OpenID = @"http://testuser.myopenid.com"; p.FirstName = "Joe"; p.LastLogin = DateTime.Now.Date.AddDays(-7); p.LastName = "Bloggs"; p.Email = "[email protected]"; return p; } } I run into trouble because it's not enjoying the Linq expression: System.NotSupportedException: Expression up = (up.OpenID = "http://testuser.myopenid.com") is not supported. So how does one test these sorts of scenarios?

  • How to resize width of a Jquery dialog after initialization

    - by Draco
    Hi, I'm trying to change the width of a JQuery dialog after it has been initialized. Here is my initialization: $(function() { $("#dialogContainer").dialog({ title: 'Some title', resizable: false, bgiframe: true, overlay: { opacity: 0.3, background: "white" }, position: [200, 200], autoOpen: false, height: 150, width: 'auto' modal: true, buttons: { 'ok': function() { $(this).dialog('close'); } } }); }); And this is what I am doing to change the width of it in some other function: $("#dialogBox").dialog('option','width',700); But this doesn't work. The width of the dialog is the width of the paragraph that's first displayed in it. Was I suppose to do anything else? Here is the html for the dialog: <div id = 'dialogContainer'> <p id = 'message'></p> </div>

  • How does CommandManager.RequerySuggested work?

    - by Andrei Rinea
    The MSDN only states that Occurs when the CommandManager detects conditions that might change the ability of a command to execute. However I can't seem to find any traces of how this works, what I should be aware of / avoid etc... Does it just listen for input? (i.e.: mouse moves, keys pressed and so on)

  • Running Selenium headless without using xvfb

    - by Paul Biggar
    I'm trying to run Selenium headless (without the browser appearing). Other questions have pointed to xvfb as the tool to do this. However, it appears highly unstable, crashing all the time, so I'm looking for another alternative. Is there a non-xvfb way of running Selenium headless?

  • What is Jquery's alternative to Mootools MochaUI?

    - by chris
    MochaUI is very intuitive and the modal iframes almost perfectly replicate Windows. Unfortunately, I have scripts written in Jquery that I use, and I hear there are conflicts when putting both Mootools and Jquery on one html file (is this true?). How can I get the MochaUI features in Jquery? At the very least, is there a similar modal dialog system? I've seen JqueryUI Dialog but it makes the background go dark and nonfunctional, which is not what I am looking for.

  • How to Unit Test HtmlHelper similar to using(Html.BeginForm()){ }

    - by DaveDev
    Can somebody please suggest how I could write a Unit Test with Moq for following HtmlHelper method? public static HtmlTagBase GenerateTag<T>(this HtmlHelper htmlHelper , object elementData , object attributes) where T : HtmlTagBase { return (T)Activator.CreateInstance(typeof(T) , htmlHelper.ViewContext , elementData , attributes); } which you would use as follows (please note the using statement - this is causing me confusion): <%--Model is a type of ShareClass--%> <% using (Html.GenerateTag<DivTag>(Model)) { %> My Div <% } %> using this method, if you specify T as type DivTag, where ShareClass is defined as public class ShareClass { public string Name { get; set; } public string Type { get; set; } public IEnumerable<Fund> Funds { get; set; } public ShareClass(string name, string shareClassType) { this.Name = name; this.Type = shareClassType; } } the following html will be rendered: <div class="ShareClass" shareclass-type="ShareClass_A" shareclass-name="MyShareClass">My Div</div>

  • Changing minDate option in JQuery DatePicker does nothing

    - by futureelite7
    I have this jQuery datepicker code that initially set the minDate of the datepicker. After a user selects a starting date, I used the option attribute to change the minDate of the datepicker, but nothing happens. What did I do wrong and how should I make it work? Datepicker init code: $(function () { $('#starttime,#endtime,#validity').datepicker({ numberOfMonths: [1, 2], buttonImageOnly: true, showAnim: 'slideDown', buttonImage: '../images/cal.gif', beforeShow: customRange, dateFormat: "dd-mm-yy", firstDay: 1, changeFirstDay: false }); }); Datepicker change minimum date code: var startdate = new Date(2010,4-1, 4-1,0,0,0); $("#endtime").datepicker('option','minDate',startdate);

  • MSTest: Problems with DeploymentItem attribute

    - by Juri
    Hi, I'm currently maintaining an "old" system written in C#.net, removing some obsolete features and doing some refactoring. Thanks god, the previous guy wrote some unit tests (MSTests). I quite comfortable with JUnit tests, but didn't do yet much with MSTests. The test methods have a DeploymentItem attribute, specifying a text file which is parsed by the business logic method that is being tested and a 2nd DeploymentItem where just a path has been specified containing a bunch of TIF files that have to be deployed too. [TestMethod()] [DeploymentItem(@"files\valid\valid_entries.txt")] [DeploymentItem(@"files\tif\")] public void ExistsTifTest() { ... } The tests worked before, but now I had to change the names of the TIF files contained in the \files\tif directory. According to a rule, the TIF filenames have to match a certain pattern which is also checked by the ExistsTifTest() method. Now I had to change the filenames in order to adapt them to the new requirements and suddently the TIF files are no more being deployed as before. Can someone give me a hint why this happens or what may be the cause? The same thing happens also if I add a new text-file say "my2ndTest.txt" beside the "valid_entries.txt" in the \files\valid\ directory with the according DeploymentItem attribute on the test method. The file doesn't get deployed? I got the images now deployed by defining the deployment path directly in the testrunconfig, but I'd like to understand why these things happen or why for instance my new file "my2ndTest.txt" doesn't get deployed while the others do. Thanks a lot. Juri
