  • is there a place to find other jquery ui themes

    for some reason i don't like any of the themes that are on the jquery ui themeroller page (i am looking for something on a business website and these all look either bleak or too corny). I wanted to see if there were other sites where people have uploaded or voted on other themes to view and download. I know i can tweak my own but first wanted to see if anyone has done this already with a better artistic eye.

  • IIS 7 Website Migration & Configuration

    Hi - I am in the process of migrating an existing webserver running IIS 6 to IIS 7. I have setup the new websites on the new server but cant seem to test them as once I have entered the domain name when I selec t "browse" from within IIS 7 I get the site on my original server. How can I test the configuration of my new sites on my new server before migrating the domain names (eg updating the DNS records etc.)? Any help much appreciated.

    Hi, I am trying to access a external ftp server through my company's FTP proxy from a bash prompt and I am getting the below issue after I enter the user name 421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection Login failed. No control connection for command: Permission denied The proxy works fine for all other sites but I am unable to access a site which has been recently setup using this proxy. Can it be an issue at the site's end like allowing our proxy ip address thru their firewall to access their server? Thanks

  • PHP Processes reaching limit along with FastCGI timeouts

    I have a problem similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1168384/how-to-troubleshoot-php-processes, but with a twist. We have a couple of managed servers that recently migrated to FastCGI. Since then we've been having problems. We have a content management system at a central place that we manage all our sites with. All the sites run on the same managed server. So basically its one PHP script that generates pages on the same server. The catch comes in where it works perfectly on some, and gives FCGI timeout errors on others. At the same time our support is saying that the PHP processes heap up to their limit and then causes Apache to stop working. I'm convinced this is a fault on their side, but would like to get my side clean too. Anyway have any suggestions where I can start looking for what's going wrong? I know it's a really broad question, but any help or pointers would be great.     I've read various sites and tutorials online but I am still confused. If the message is bigger than IP MTU, then send() returns the byte sent. What happens to the rest of the message? Am I to call send() again and attempt to send rest of the message? Or is that something IP layer should take care of automatically?

    So far all my sites use mostly $_GET's to get the data for a page. Ex: editad.php?posting_id=131 editaccount.php?user_id=2 --is there a way to hide or be more secured about what the user can see? I don't want them to be just able to say type "editad.php?posting_id=40" in the URL. I know I can use POSTS, but is there a way for GETs or not? --How can I be more more secured?

  • 4 Minute Delay Between New User Registration and Receipt of Activation Email

    Hello, I am using a PHP/MySQL login script that sends a new user an activation email. When a new user registers, the info is put into MySQL pretty much instantly, but then it takes about 4 minutes for the activation email to arrive in the new user's inbox. It seems like sites like Facebook and Twitter can get out an activation email instantly when a new user registers. Is there anything that I could do to make the activation email that I'm using arrive instantly or really fast? Thanks in advance, John

Piwik looks like a strong contender in the analytics space (and I'm surprised I haven't heard about it before) but I want to be sure I'm not throwing the baby out with the bathwater by swapping to it.
