  How can i set a new char array to be the buffer of a fstream's filebuf, there is a function (setbuf) in the filebuf but it is protected. while searching on the web, some sites mention fstream::setbuf but it doesn't seem to exist anymore. Thanks

  Although I'm specifying <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" /> But due to IE's "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" setting, my app isn't being viewed in IE8, but in compatibility mode. Anyone know if there is a way round this???

  Hello It seems the most common aproach to web design is to use HTML/XHTML & CSS in conjunction with other technologies or languages like Javascript or PHP. On a theoretical level, I'm interested to know what other languages or technologies could be used to build an entire site without using a single HTML tag or CSS style for styling/positioning? Could a website be made only using XML or PHP alone, including actual styling and positioning? Presumably Flash sites are till embedded in HTML tags? Thanks

  I wonder if anyone can help? After Google announced that it will take note of RDFa / Microformats for online recipes, I've been looking into this for a couple of recipe based sites I run. However we simply don't have all the required data to fulfill any of the standards. Does this matter? • Jquery: highlight element on mouseover without hanging or lagging.

  When I had elements highlighted upon mouseover, it would work fine with sites with minimal number of elements. But when the number of elements on a page was very big, the effect would "lag" so to speak. It would take a while for each elements to highlight upon mouseover event. Has someone solved this problem successfully ? I've seen a prototype.js example that does not lag.

Currently, my sites are using php functions to ensure some alpha-numeric character set in each segment of an email address.
