  • Highlighting text beween custom tags

    In a xhtml, i want to highlight the text between two self closing tags s1 and s2 whose attribute value is the same. Eg. <s1 ind="1"/> and <s2 ind="1" /> Eg. <html> <body> <a> <b>Some <s1 ind="1"/> text</b> <c>data <s2 ind="1"/>here</c> </a> </body> </html> I want "text data" to get highlighted. Is is possible to achieve using javascript/jquery? I could have many such self closing tag pairs s1 and s2 with a unique value for "ind" for the pair indicating that the text within them needs to be highlighted.

  • contenteditable element prevents hyperlink default behavior

    I've got the following problem. In IE if a contenteditable element is nested inside a hyperlink, clicking on the element prevents the hyperlink default behavior, i.e. navigation to another document. In FF it works fine. How can I solve the problem? Just removing the contentEditable attribute is not a solution since I want this behavior (navigation to another document) only when user clicks the content-editable element with pressed Ctrl key. Thanks.

    I'm using Jumi to echo php code and then showing that in a Joomla Article, and everythings working fine. Now I want to do this: The output is basically a list from a database like this: Name Price Type A 1 T1 B 2 T2 In this list I want to include links to only show items of the same type, so "T1" would like to a page only showing things of type T1. So I thought I would do this by making a new page that takes a type and then get all the items of that type from the database. Without Joomla this wouldv'e been a piece of cake, with Joomla I'm not quite sure where to begin. How should the a href=... tags in the html code printed by my php script look? Is my basic structure still correct, and if so, how do I make Joomla open the new page in the normal frame and not replace the whole Joomla page. some kind of target-frame attribute?

    Is there an easy way to get the MvcRouteHandler to convert all hyphens in the action and controller sections of an incoming URL to underscores as hyphens are not supported in method or class names. This would be so that I could support such structures as sample.com/test-page/edit-details mapping to Action edit_details and Controller test_pagecontroller while continuing to use MapRoute method. I understand I can specify an action name attribute and support hyphens in controller names which out manually adding routes to achieve this however I am looking for an automated way so save errors when adding new controllers and actions.

  • Getter/Setter from separate class file in Java

    I'm new to Java and for a HW assignment, we had to create a Person class that has a constructor, getter/setter for the attributes of firstName, lastName, phone. That is in a separate file from an old HW assignment (Person.java). Now we have to use that Person class in our new HW assignment (LoanApplication.java). So if one of the attributes is private Person client do I need to create getter/setters or a constructor again? Otherwise, how does each LoanApplicaiton instance know which Person attribute it is to go with? How does the JVM know that it can use the Person.class even though my LoanApplicaiton.class does not extend Person.class? Thanks.

    Hi there, I am working on an iPhone version of a website, and I am using jQuery .animate() with the scrollTop attribute to scroll to different sections of the page. Something like so: $('html,body').animate({ scrollTop: distance }, 300); On regular web browsers, the scrolling starts from the current window position to the desired position. On the iPhone, the window jumps back to the top of the document before scrolling to the desired position. This is apparently the intended action, but the pages just don't look good with all that movement. Alternatively, on Google.com for the iPhone, when the autosuggest is activated, there is a nice simple scroll to show the autosuggest options below the search box. That's what I'd like to do...

  • Is there a way to make XmlDocument parsing less strict

    I am making a program that will store its data in an XML file. When people write XML they can make subtle mistakes, like ending a comment with - so it looks like <!-- comment ---> or adding a </>inside an attribute. Naturally, the XML still can be read all right, but trying to input this text into XmlDocument will give a syntax error (and it wont be parsed). Is there a way to make XmlDocument less strict and make it ignore violations of the standard that do not make the document unparseable? For example, its clear that <!-- comment ---> is still a comment even though it contains - at the end which is against the standard specification).

  • sqlite & python - only pulls the first result

    This is pretty strange (admitedly, this is my first attempt with python / sqlite), but I can seem to get all of the rows if I do a fetchAll(), but other than that - no matter what I try, always ends up in the db only returning the first row - the second iteration stops because a null is returned. Wondering if there is something wrong with how I am coding this up in python?   • Magento: Configurable product options not showing on a view page?

    I have multi-store Magento system and strange things happen when i try to see a configurable product on my main store - the options select lists don't show up at all! And that is the case for the 95% of the products on the main store. But on the other stores it works fine?! I can't see what am I doing wrong. All my products are configurable, all have set simple products with options attached to them, all are set to be visible on all stores (WebsiteIds attribute), all are enabled on all stores, all simple products are in stock and have some stock quantity set. I think if I've done something wrong it would be like that on all stores, not just the main one. I'm totally clueless, please help.   • Getting a NullReferenceException Error when invoking a Select File Dialog Box

    Hey everyone This is a real newbie question. I have simple app that selects a picture and display's that picture in a PictureBox. I decided to mess with the Opacity Attribute so I added a timer and created this cool effect where the Main Form's Opacity is increased by 20% every 400 miliseconds. The problem is that now when I click the button that invokes the Select File Dialog Box I'm getting a NullReferenceException error. private void tmrClock_Tick(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (ViewerForm.ActiveForm.Opacity != 1) { ActiveForm.Opacity = ActiveForm.Opacity + .20; } } The error message is pointing to the if statement.     Hello All I am encountering an issue when I am trying to load a large result set using a range query in Oracle 10g. When I try a smaller range (1 to 100), it works but when I try a larger range(1 and 1000), I get the following error "ORA-22814: attribute or element value is larger than specified in type" error.   • How can I find all the supported weights of a Font in Java?

    How can I find all the available font weights for a given font in Java? The TextAttribute for font weight lists 11 different weight constants, way more than just Font.PLAIN and Font.BOLD. I'd like to know which ones actually exist for a given font family, so I can make sure I'm only using weights for which a font face exists. The getAttributes() and getAvailableAttributes() methods in Font will only show me whether or not the Font supports the FONT_WEIGHT attribute, not which weight values it supports. If I just pass in a particular value to see what I get back, I don't have any guarantee that I'll get what I asked for. The TextAttribute class says "The values for WEIGHT, WIDTH, and POSTURE are interpolated by the system, which can select the 'nearest available' font or use other techniques to approximate the user's request."

    I'm currently writing some stylesheets for mobile browsers and have come across a strange issue in the Android browser. When changing the font-size CSS attribute of a text box the box gets bigger to accomodate the larger text. Doing this on a select box however does not change the size of the select box, but the text still gets larger (actually overlapping the top and bottom of the rendered form element). Can anyone tell me if it's possible to increase the height of select boxes in the Android browser. Or if not point me in the direction of a list of CSS attributes that can be applied to them. This tag does not have the autocomplete feature turned off, thus, one does not necessarily need to release a key to change the value of this field and focus anotehr one. My question is: how can I detect ANY value changes of this particular field, like e. g. <input onvaluechange="//do following..." /> The JavaScritp attribute onchange does not fire on change of value, only on changes like blur, focus, etc...   • How do I get my text to be direction from right to left without using a p tag?

    I have a dynamically appearing div on a page. I would like to be able to hide the div with a button at the top right corner of the div. One way I have found to do this is to use a p tag, like so: <p dir="RTL">button</p> If this is the first line of HTML within the div, it will put the button in the upper right hand corner of the div. However, it gives me a new line above and a new line below, so, the button isn't really where I want it to be. The "dir" attribute doesn't seem to work with a span tag, and if I display the p tag inline using css p { display:inline; } the button is no longer right aligned. Instead it stays in the left hand corner. Is there a way to get this button in the upper right hand corner without two unnecessary new lines and without a bunch of  ?

  • What is the pythonic way to add type information to an object's attributes?

    I'm building classes where I know the types of the attributes, but Python of course doesn't. While it's un-pythonic to want to tell it, supposing I do want to, is there an idiomatic way to do so? Why: I'm reading in serialised data (without type information) involving objects-nested-inside-objects. It's easy to put it into nested dictionaries, but I want it in objects of my class-types, to get the right behaviours as well as the data. For instance: suppose my class Book has an attribute isbn which I will fill with an ISBNumber object. My serialised data gives me the isbn as a string; I would like to be able to look at Book and say "That field should be filled by ISBNumber(theString)." Bonus glee for me if the solution can be applied to classes I get from someone else without editing their code.
