• jQuery Treemap Plugin

  Hello, I am trying to get the Treemap plugin (http://www.jquery.info/spip.php?article40) working with jQuery v1.3.x. The plugin works with jQuery v1.1 and v1.2 but for some reason it fails with the v1.3 base. This is the browser error "Error: uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: " Does anyone know changes occurred between JQuery v1.2 and v1.3 that could cause this? Cheers, D

  Hello; Why can't I start a line using a parenthesis followed by the keyword new?? For example: (New <custom_obj>).foo(var) In that case is obvious that I'm trying to avoid creating a named instance of the the <custom_obj> because I know that I'll only be using it at that sentence. Note that actually creating a named instance is not a problem for me... I just wanna know the reason why this is not possible.

The 2 situations I know of are: with a new function in a "with" statement as a note, any new block (in if-then-else, loops, or just beginning a block for no other reason) won't create a new scope. Is there a third situation where a new scope is created besides the two situations above? Thanks.

  It used to be the number one reason for us to choose MSTest from others that we could access and test private methods. Now that Private accessors are deprecated in Visual Studio 2012. Does anyone know why Microsoft make such decision? Is it because it's not a good practice to test private methods? Also, if I still need to unit test my private methods, how could I do that in VS 2012 and later versions?

• Why is T() = T() allowed in C++?

  I believe the expression T() creates an rvalue (by the Standard) However the following code compiles (at least on gcc4.0) class T {... }; int main() { T() = T(); } I know technically this is possible because member functions can be invoked on temporaries and the above is just invoking the operator= on the r-value temporary created from T(). But conceptually this is like assigning a new value to an r-value. Is there a good reason why this is allowed?

Reason is that it needs to be started VERY early during boot, at a point when there is no network connection yet, also it must not wait for any network connectivity. • What restrictions exist choosing a MFC version to use with Visual C++?

  Each version of Visual Studio comes with a specific version of the MFC framework, but I believe MFC SDK can be downloaded separately. Since MFC is just C++, is there any reason you couldn't use the latest version with an older version of VC++... I don't mean trying to get the ribbon working in MSVC++ 6, But we're on VS2005 and some of the newer MFC features would be useful.

  I'm trying to use Registration.SensorTypeValue.MAGNETIC_FIELD in SmartWatch's 2 plugin. But values that I received put me into some dissapointed state, cause of few reason: Values is to big (I tested magnetic fields on 3 phones and result is like "-12. , 38, -14", and the watch give me something like "488, 440, -115") Values are almost static, they live in very small range. What's wrong with me or with the watch? I think this question is for Sony support team.

• C# MySQL Connector works in IDE, not after publish?

  For some reason I can't seem to get the MySQL Net Connector to work with C# outside of the IDE. I have a very simple program working just fine in the IDE (connecting to the database and everything) but when I publish the code and run the .application file (on my local computers desktop or off the company server) it says it can't connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.   - (void)setPropertyValue:(const *void)inValue forID:(UInt32)propertyID { } The compiler doesn't like the const *void, for some reason. When I have that, it says: error: expected ')' before 'void' When I make the parameter like (UInt32)foo there is no problem. Does const *void only work in functions? I need a parameter which can be a "pointer to anything" like UInt32, Float64, etc.

But other folders opened by OpenMsgStore OK. What can be reason of the problem?
