  • Why file upload error codes in php miss number '5'?

    I am writing a custom error handling/reporting function for php file upload and I noticed that the error codes returned is one of numbers 0 to 8 except 5. Is this a typo in the source I am using or is it really this way? And if it is so, I am curious why they have skipped number '5'. Thanks.

    I need a reliable way to detect how many CPU cores are on a computer. I am creating a numerically intense simulation C# application and want to create the maximum number of running threads as cores. I have tried many of the methods suggested around the internet like Environment.ProcessorCount, using WMI, this code: http://blogs.adamsoftware.net/Engine/DeterminingthenumberofphysicalCPUsonWindows.aspx. None of them seem to think a AMD X2 has two cores. Any ideas?

    if i do this in a worksheet: =RAND() i also specified that i want only 2 decimal places and for example let's say that rand() = 0.07 what is the probability that when i call this function again i will get 0.07 ?? i know that ideally if we assume 100% randomness, the answer would be 1/ (10 * 10) because there are only 100 possible combinations, but what would it be according to the way excel generates a random number?

    A m x n rectangular matrix is give, and each cell is to be filled with 0/1 colour. I have to find number of colorings possible so that there is no monochromatic coloured (same colour) sub-rectangle whose both dimension is greater than 1 (eg - 2x2, 2x3,4x3) I have found a slightly different version of it here But they have said nothing about the algorithm. So, I am looking for an algorithm here !!

    I've set up a basic html/php submission form where people can register for our event, but need a way to replace the submission form webpage with one that reads something like "We have reached our registration limit" when we reach a certain number of submitted forms. Our database is MySQL (if that makes a difference) I've looked around on the web but people either say to count the entries by hand, or the ones that do have an automated system use CMS like drupal or joomla. Is it possible to setup an automated script that will do this?

My range extends from column A through X so I need a matching row of data to start in column Y.     I am given: An excel sheet contains around 200 tasks (described in rows 2-201 in Column A). Each task can be elegible for a max of two projects (There are 4 projects in total, called "P1-P4" - drop down lists in Columns B and D); and this with a specific %-rate allocation (columns C & E - Column C refers to the Project Column B, and Column E refers to the Project in Column D). Column F shows the amount of work days spent on each task. Example in row 2: Task 1 (Column A); P1 (Column B) ; 80% (Column C) ; P3 (Column D) ; 20% (Column E) ; 3 (Column F) I need to know the sum of the working days spent on Project P3 respecting the %-rate for elegibility. I know how to calculate it for each Task (each Row) - e.g. for Task 1: =IF(B2="P3";C2*F2)+IF(D2="P3";E2*F2) However instead of repeating this for each task, I need a formula that adds them all together. Unfortunately the following formula shows me an error: =IF(B2:B201="P3";C2:C201*F2:F201)+IF(D2:D201="P3";E2:E201*F2:F201) Can anyone help please? Thank you!!

    I am stucked at the situation where I need to disable few columns of a each row ,except newly added row. That is I have 10 columns in grid and I want first three columns that are binded from the rows coming from db as disabled or read-only, rest are editable. if I add new row then all columns of new row must be enabled until and unless it is saved. I dont have any DataKey or Primary key for my existing row or new row.
