    I've just noticed that most of hpricot code is written in java... I heard that JRuby performed a lot better than native ruby when processing regular expression. Is maybe the java classes just activated if JRuby or Java is installed and the ruby used if these are not found? It's something puzzling indeed. Thanks

    Hi, I'm working on a regular expression that will only return true when a date string is in a format something like 'ddd, dd mmm yy'. Valid matches would be values like "Sun, 20 Jun 10" or "Mon, 21 Jun 10" but not "Sunday, 20 Jun 10" or "20 Jun 10". This will be used with mb_ereg in PHP. My attempts so far have only got me half way there. Any help appreciated! Thanks, Dave

    I have a List which is straight forward representation of a database table. I am trying to sort and apply some magic after the data is loaded into List of HashMaps. In my case this is the only hard and fast way of doing it becoz I have a rules engine that actually updates the values in the HashMap after several computations. Now we can to pick the least fromDate from those 2 records which is Wed Mar 17 10:54:12 and farther toDate which is Wed Mar 31 10:54:12 and update those 2 record's fromDate and toDate to Wed Mar 17 10:54:12 and Wed Mar 31 10:54:12 respectively.   • Simple string pattern matching

    What's the easiest way of doing simple pattern matching a la .something.com something.com/ something.com/somefolder/*.jpg in the iPhone SDK? At this point it looks like I'm going to have to use a regular expression library of some sort, which is really overkill when all I need is simple wildcard matching. None of the standard NSString methods seem to be available on the iPhone.

I don't believe I can observe all postCreate events since it is simply an exact match and not a regular expression. @Observer("org.jboss.seam.postCreate.") You can only observe those events and not * as it is put into a map where the key is a string. Any ideas? Walter

  • LiveView plugin template creates lots of errors?

    I'm trying to get the LiveView plugin template to work but upon import of the project into Eclipse, I already have 13 errors and 2 warnings. I have already downloaded SDK for Android 1.6 which I believe is what it requires.     Hello, I am new to regex and am trying to extract from a database a list of URLs that match xyz.asp? followed by any eight digit RequestID numbers. I can't figure out what is wrong with my expression: /abcd/..asp\?\w+=.?[0-9]*? Example: http://domain.com/abcd/xyz.asp?RequestID=20100401 Do I have it wrong with 1) not starting/ending with ^$ 2) escaping the dot 3) escaping the question mark 4) matching the equals sign 5) or something else?     Hi there, Is there a way to retrieve tables, including alias tables, and columns, including alias columns, from an Apache Torque Criteria object reliably? I understand that there is methods like: getSelectedColumns, getAsColumns(), getJoins(), etc., but for examples, getJoins() will just return a list of joined tables strings in free text, where one has to use regular expression to extract the needed joined table information out of it. I tried using the negative look-behind expression (?<!Test)/Properties/AssemblyInfo\.cs$, but I didn't find a way to "un-ignore" in both folders "Test/" and "Tests/".

  • Checkbox has the wrong values

    I have a page with several checkboxes on it, along with a dropdownlist of users. The checkboxes correlate to the user's permissions so each user is different. When a different user is chosen, the check boxes should change to match that user's permissions. The codebehind is correct, I stepped through it and the checkbox.checked value is being assigned to the box with the correct value to match the user. chk.Checked = viewable; No matter what I assign to the checked property the value stays the same as the very first submittal. I tried chk.EnableViewState = false; but that did not help. I am sure it is dot net trying to be helpful (grrr). Thank you for your help. There is no databinding per se. I will be saving the values from the textboxes via xmlhttp when the user clicks on them. I never want the check boxes to fill with values other than what I give them.   • In XMLHttpRequest, where is error flag variable?

    In the XMLHttpRequest Spec it says that: The DONE state has an associated error flag that indicates some type of network error or abortion. It can be either true or false and has an initial value of false. Also says something similar about a "send() flag" in an "OPENED" state. It's said in the specification but not in the IDL and when I create a new XMLHttpRequest I can't find those "flags". Where are those boolean variables?
