  • Outlook 2010 Folder Structure Search

    - by SaUce
I work at a helpdesk and today I received a call from a user who lost a folder in Outlook. When I connected to the user's PC, I discovered that the user has several hundreds of folders. She had the same name folder in several different locations. When we used Advanced Find we found the messages. It said that messages are located in folder X. The only problem was, we could not locate the folder X in the list. Does anyone know of any way to quickly and easily browse all the folders or look up a folder in Outlook 2010?

  • Variables are "lost" somewhere, then reappear... all with no error thrown.

    - by rob - not a robber
Hi All, I'm probably going to make myself look like a fool with my horrible scripting but here we go. I have a form that I am collecting a bunch of checkbox info from using a binary method. ON/SET=1 !ISSET=0 Anyway, all seems to be going as planned except for the query bit. When I run the script, it runs through and throws no errors, but it's not doing what I think I am telling it to. I've hard coded the values in the query and left them in the script and it DOES update the DB. I've also tried echoing all the needed variables after the script runs and exiting right after so I can audit them... and they're all there. Here's an example. ####FEATURES RECORD UPDATE ### HERE I DECIDE TO RUN THE SCRIPT BASED ON WHETHER AN IMAGE BUTTON WAS USED if (isset($_POST["button_x"])) { ### HERE I AM ASSIGNING 1 OR 0 TO A VAR BASED ON WHTER THE CHECKBOX WAS SET if (isset($_POST["pool"])) $pool=1; if (!isset($_POST["pool"])) $pool=0; if (isset($_POST["darts"])) $darts=1; if (!isset($_POST["darts"])) $darts=0; if (isset($_POST["karaoke"])) $karaoke=1; if (!isset($_POST["karaoke"])) $karaoke=0; if (isset($_POST["trivia"])) $trivia=1; if (!isset($_POST["trivia"])) $trivia=0; if (isset($_POST["wii"])) $wii=1; if (!isset($_POST["wii"])) $wii=0; if (isset($_POST["guitarhero"])) $guitarhero=1; if (!isset($_POST["guitarhero"])) $guitarhero=0; if (isset($_POST["megatouch"])) $megatouch=1; if (!isset($_POST["megatouch"])) $megatouch=0; if (isset($_POST["arcade"])) $arcade=1; if (!isset($_POST["arcade"])) $arcade=0; if (isset($_POST["jukebox"])) $jukebox=1; if (!isset($_POST["jukebox"])) $jukebox=0; if (isset($_POST["dancefloor"])) $dancefloor=1; if (!isset($_POST["dancefloor"])) $dancefloor=0; ### I'VE DONE LOADS OF PERMUTATIONS HERE... HARD SET THE 1/0 VARS AND LEFT THE $estab_id TO BE PICKED UP. SET THE $estab_id AND LEFT THE COLUMN DATA TO BE PICKED UP. ALL NO GOOD. IT _DOES_ WORK IF I HARD SET ALL VARS THOUGH mysql_query("UPDATE thedatabase SET pool_table='$pool', darts='$darts', karoke='$karaoke', trivia='$trivia', wii='$wii', megatouch='$megatouch', guitar_hero='$guitarhero', arcade_games='$arcade', dancefloor='$dancefloor' WHERE establishment_id='22'"); ###WEIRD THING HERE IS IF I ECHO THE VARS AT THIS POINT AND THEN EXIT(); they all show up as intended. header("location:theadminfilething.php"); exit(); THANKS ALL!!!

  • C# MDX RenderToSurface, where to reset after device is lost?

    - by Moritz Schöfl
Hi, I got a problem with the RenderToSurface class. When I resize the Form of my Device, the Draw method is still called, but doesnt throw an Exception, it looks like this: device.Clear(ClearFlags.Target, Color.Red, 0, 0); device.BeginScene(); // here is out commented code device.EndScene(); device.Present(); In another method, I wrote this: renderToSurface.BeginScene(surfaces[currentIndex]); // here is out commented code renderToSurface.EndScene(Filter.None); and this method seems to throw a nullpointer exception when I resize the window; So my question is: - where to reset / restore / handle the renderToSurface class? (i tried it with the DeviceReset event like following - void OnDeviceReset(object sender, EventArgs e) { renderToSurface = new RenderToSurface(Game.Device, Game.ClientSize.Width, Game.ClientSize.Height, Format.A8R8G8B8, true, DepthFormat.D16); } )

  • Lost with hibernate - OneToMany resulting in the one being pulled back many times..

I have this DB design: CREATE TABLE report ( ID MEDIUMINT PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, user MEDIUMINT NOT NULL, created TIMESTAMP NOT NULL, state INT NOT NULL, FOREIGN KEY (user) REFERENCES user(ID) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE ); CREATE TABLE reportProperties ( ID MEDIUMINT NOT NULL, k VARCHAR(128) NOT NULL, v TEXT NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY( ID, k ), FOREIGN KEY (ID) REFERENCES report(ID) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE ); and this Hibernate Markup: @Table(name="report") @Entity(name="ReportEntity") public class ReportEntity extends Report{ @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) @Column(name="ID") private Integer ID; @Column(name="user") private Integer user; @Column(name="created") private Timestamp created; @Column(name="state") private Integer state = ReportState.RUNNING.getLevel(); @OneToMany(mappedBy="pk.ID", fetch=FetchType.EAGER) @JoinColumns( @JoinColumn(name="ID", referencedColumnName="ID") ) @MapKey(name="pk.key") private Map<String, ReportPropertyEntity> reportProperties = new HashMap<String, ReportPropertyEntity>(); } and @Table(name="reportProperties") @Entity(name="ReportPropertyEntity") public class ReportPropertyEntity extends ReportProperty{ @Embeddable public static class ReportPropertyEntityPk implements Serializable{ /** * long#serialVersionUID */ private static final long serialVersionUID = 2545373078182672152L; @Column(name="ID") protected int ID; @Column(name="k") protected String key; } @EmbeddedId protected ReportPropertyEntityPk pk = new ReportPropertyEntityPk(); @Column(name="v") protected String value; } And i have inserted on Report and 4 Properties for that report. Now when i execute this: this.findByCriteria( Order.asc("created"), Restrictions.eq("user", user.getObject(UserField.ID)) ) ); I get back the report 4 times, instead of just the once with a Map with the 4 properties in. I'm not great at Hibernate to be honest, prefer straight SQL but I must learn, but i can't see what it is that is wrong.....? Any suggestions?

  • YUI Autocomplete: itemSelectEvent getting lost with IE6 and IE7?

    - by Parand
I'm using YUI Autocomplete (latest version loaded using loader as of today (May 14th, 2010), which looks to be 2.8.1, with the following options: ac = new YAHOO.widget.AutoComplete("mynode", "autocomp_node", ac_ds, {typeAhead: true, forceSelection: true}); ac.itemSelectEvent.subscribe( function(type, args) { alert("hey:" + args[2][1]); $('#parent_id').val(args[2][1]); }); The itemSelectEvent catches selections in AutoComplete and fills in some data on the parent. This works on FF, Chrome, Safari, and IE8. On IE6 and IE7, however, the event never seems to trigger. To replicate: In the autocomplete field, allow it to autofill for you, then hit enter. This should select the autofill and move on to the next field (that's what it does in other browsers). With IE6 and IE7 it seems to instead trigger the form submission - the itemSelectEvent never fires (or perhaps fires after the form submission?). Has anyone seen this? Any work-arounds?

  • Dismiss Menu when Focus is lost, not on mouseout. jQuery

    - by Stacey
    I have jQuery that drops a menu down when its parent is clicked on, and dismisses it when they hover away from the menu. I am wanting to change the behavior so that it only dismisses if they click somewhere else on the page, or a different menu. Is this possible? jQuery.fn.dropdown = function () { return this.each(function () { $('.ui-dropdown-list > li > a').click(function () { $(this).addClass("ui-dropdown-hover"); }); $("ul.ui-dropdown-list > li > a").click(function () { $(this).parent().find("ul").show(); $(this).parent().hover(function () { }, function () { $(this).parent().find("ul").hide(); $(this).find('> a').removeClass("ui-dropdown-hover"); }); }); }); };

  • What good practices, if any, has the agile movement lost?

    - by clarke ching
I am a long time agile advocated but one of the things that bothers me about Agile is that a lot of agile practitioners, especially the younger ones, have thrown out or are missing a whole lot of good (non Scrum, non XP) practices. Alistair Cockburn's style of writing Use Cases springs to mind; orthogonal arrays (pairwise testing) is another. I hope this is an okay forum to ask this, but since I read mostly Agile related books and articles and work with mostly Agile folk ... is there anything I'm missing? Thanks for all your help. StackOverlow is a fantastic resource.

  • Has subversion lost some of my revisions in a branch?

    - by BombDefused
I've been working on my project using a subversion branch. I've used the branching feature few times before without issue, until today. I've come to merge back into the trunk, and noticed that not everything from my branch was there. I go back to my project folder which I've been committing to the branch and look at the log messages using TortoiseSVN (the command line basic log command shows the same). See the attached image. The revision numbers go up incrementally, until revision 303 (the last trunk revision was 299). Then there are numbers missing. The latest commit, about half an hour ago was 316, but it doesn't show up in the log for the branch. Trying to commit the files again doesn't do anything. I am the only person committing to this repository at present. The missing revisions do not show up in the log for the trunk project. What's going on here. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Update - the revisions do show in the repo browser (Thanks Antonio Perez), but I don't understand why they are not being included with the merge?

  • How to debug lost events posted from non-GUI thread in Qt?

    - by gp
As the subject says, I'm posting events from non-GUI thread (some GStreamer thread, to be precise). Code looks like this: GstBusSyncReply on_bus_message(GstBus* bus, GstMessage* message, gpointer data) { bool ret = QMetaObject::invokeMethod(static_cast<QObject*>(data), "stateChanged", Qt::QueuedConnection); Q_ASSERT(ret); return GST_BUS_PASS; } The problem is, stateChanged (doesn't matter whether it is a slot or signal) is not called. I've stepped into QMetaObject::invokeMethod with debugger, followed it till it called PostMessage (it is Qt 4.6.2 on Windows, by the way) – everything seemed to be OK. Object pointed to by data lives in GUI thread, I've double-checked this. How can I debug this problem? Or, better, maybe sidestep it altogether?

  • How to avoid lost calls to an external JS file before loading it.

    - by David
Hi, My issue is that multiple websites are going to include my JS file and when calling something like this: <script src="..."></script> hello.say("yay"); there going to be a race issue so sometimes it could make it sometimes not. i know that i can solve that easily by putting every function in a window.onload but that wouldn't be clean as i've seen other websites magically solve that like google analytics: .. Calling google analytics JS.. <script type="text/javascript"> try{ var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-xxxxxx-x"); <-- this an object ! pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {} </script> How to do that?

  • Apprentice Boot Camp in South Africa (Part 2)

    - by Tim Koekkoek
By Maximilian Michel (DE), Jorge Garnacho (ES), Daniel Maull (UK), Adam Griffiths (UK), Guillermo De Las Nieves (ES), Catriona McGill (UK), Ed Dunlop (UK) Today we have the second part of the adventures of seven apprentices from all over Europe in South-Africa!  Kruger National Park & other experiences Going to the Kruger National Park was definitely an experience we will all remember for the rest of our lives. This trip, organised by Patrick Fitzgerald, owner of the Travellers Nest (where we all stayed), took us from the hustle and bustle of Joburg to experience what Africa is all about, the wild! Although the first week’s training we had prior to this trip to the Kruger was going very well, we all knew this was to be a very nice break before we started the second week of training. And we were right, the animals, scenery and sights we saw were just simply incredible and like I said something we will remember for the rest of our lives. To see lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos and many more in a zoo is one thing, but to see them in the wild, in their natural habitat is very special and I personally only realised this from the early 5 am start on the first morning in the Kruger, which was definitely worth it. Not only was it all about the safari, we ate some wonderful food, in particular on the Saturday night, Patrick made us a traditional South African Braai which was one of my favourite meals of the whole two weeks. After the Kruger National Park we had a whole day of traveling back to Johannesburg but even this was made to be a good day by our hosts. Despite the early start on the road it was all worth it by the time we reached God's Window. The walk to the top was made a lot harder by all the steaks we had eaten in the first week but the hard walk was worth it at the top, with views that stretched for miles. The Food The food in South Africa is typically meat and in big amounts, while there we ate a lot of big beef steaks, ribs and kudu sausage. All of the meat we ate was usually cooked with a sauce such as a Barbeque glaze. The restaurants we visited were: Upperdeck Restaurant, with live music and a great terrace to eat, the atmosphere was good for enjoying the music and eating our food. Most of us ate  Spare ribs that weighed 600 kg, with barbecue sauce that was delicious. Die Bosvelder Pub & Restaurant is a restaurant with a very surprising decor, this is because the walls had many of south Africa’s famous animals on them. The food was maybe the best we ate in South Africa. Our orders were: Springbokvlakte Lambs' Neck Stew, beef in gravy and steaks topped with cheese and then more meat on top! All meals were accompanied by a selection of white sauce cauliflower, spinach and zanhorias. Pepper Chair Restaurant, where the specialty is T-Bone steaks of 1.4 kg, but most of us were happy to attempt the 1 kg. Cooked with barbecue sauce over the meat, it was very good!  The only problem was their size causing the  the meat to get cold if you did not eat it very fast! We’re all waiting for our 1.0 kg t-bone steak including our Senior Director EMEA Systems Support Germany & Switzerland: Werner Hoellrigl The Godfather Restaurant, the food here was more meat in abundance. We ate: great ribs, hamburgers, steaks and all accompanied with a small plates of carrot and sauteed spinach, very good. We had two great weeks in South-Africa! • Changed profiles; lost Ubuntu; how do I get it back?

    - by Tim
Installed Ubuntu-secure-remix 12.10 in a dual boot with Windows 8 on an HP laptop. A first-time Linux user, I was exploring settings when I changed profiles (not sure what I changed it to). Now the Linux boots into what I believe is the shell. I can still log in (that is, I am already a user - so that's still there). Due possibly to using rEFInd, I cannot figure how to run Ubuntu in recovery mode. How can I get Ubuntu back up and running again? Thanks in advance.

  • How to Program AWS Spot Instances to Strategically Bid So the Auction is Never Lost Until a Competitor Beats the Maximum I'm Willing to Pay?

    - by Taal
I believe I'm in the right section of stack exchange to ask this. If not, let me know. I only use Amazon Web Services for temporary type hosting services, so the spot instances are quite valuable to me. I would also just make an instance and start and stop it - but - that doesn't necessarily fit my bootstrapped budget sadly. Anyways, it really kills me when someone outbids me on a spot instance I have (I tend to go for the larger ones which there are fewer of available) and I get randomly kicked off. I know or at least I believe there is a way to program in something somehow to dynamically change your bidding price to beat a potential competitor's if their's is higher than yours. Now, I previously believed Amazon would just charge me for the highest price right above the next lowest competitor automatically (eliminating the need for this) - so if I bid too high, then I only pay what I would of needed to in order to win and keep the auction. Essentially, I thought my bid price was my max bid price. Apparently, according to my bills and several experiments I've done - this is not the case. They charge me for whatever I bid even when I know there is no one else around to counter bid me. I needed to clarify that, but let me get back to the main point: Let's say I'm bidding $0.50, competitor comes in and bids 0.55 cents. I get kicked off. I want to have it to where I'd set a maximum I'm willing to pay (let's say $1.00 here), and then when competitor comes in and tries to bid $.55, my bid is dynamically adjusted to beat his at $0.56 up until he breaks my $1.00 threshold. I've been reading the guides and although they are more or less straightforward, I feel like they leave a few holes in them that end up confusing me. Like, for instance, where do I input said command or when do I do it? Maybe I'm just tech illiterate and need help deciphering these guides. A good start for someone willing to answer/help me decipher this problem would be here: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/spot-as-update-bid.html

  • Postfix - suspend domain from which deferred status was received?

    - by Al Bundy
Is there a possibility to make Postfix stop trying (for a period of time) to send emails to a domain from which it received a deferred response? Currently my Postfix goes through each address in the queue. Please see the below example. At 09:48:32 the status=deferred appears. After this Postfix should stop trying to send stuff to the yahoo.com domain. • excluding previously randomized integer, and randomize again without it

    - by Rob
<?php if (isset($_POST['Roll!'])) { $sides = $_POST['sides']; $rolled = rand(1,$sides); echo "$rolled was rolled by the dice, it is now out!"; } ?> This is the code I currently have. After rolling that number, however, I want it to roll again, but without the previously rolled number, until it has rolled all number except one, which would be the winning number. I have no idea how to go about doing that. Any ideas? EDIT: I'm sorry, I should have been more clear, thank you all for the help so far, but I also need to echo each number rolled, such as echo "$rolledArray[0] was rolled, it lost.\n"; echo "$rolledArray[1] was rolled, it lost.\n"; echo "$rolledArray[2] was rolled, it lost.\n"; echo "$rolledArray[3] was rolled, it lost.\n"; echo "$rolledArray[x] was rolled, it lost.\n"; echo "$rolledArray[x] was rolled, it lost.\n"; echo "$rolledArray[50?] was rolled, it lost."; EDIT AGAIN: Also I only want them to have to click Roll! once, not multiple times until they've rolled all the numbers, meaning no need for session, I think, though I could be wrong, most of you are clearly more experienced than me. Sorry, I should have mentioned that before as well.

  • iTunes - Duplicate "Purchased on iPhone" playlists

    - by War Chester Shire Sauce
Whenever I purchase music on my phone and then sync with iTunes later, a duplicate "Purchased on iPhone" playlist will be created. The first one will have everything i've purchased in the past, and the duplicate playlist will have the one or two songs that I just purchased. In the sync options I checked/unchecked the box to have the playlist sync and not sync with my phone. No matter which option I choose I'll always have duplicate playlists when I sync with iTunes. How can I fix this? I don't want a duplicate playlist to be created every time I sync. If i purchase a song on my phone I want it to be added to the existing "Purchased on iPhone playlist".
