• Wordpress form handling

  I need to add a basic form page in the website, that runs on WordPress framework. I have the following raw materials ready: Client side: html form layout,css and jquery validation code. Server side: form handler php function that processes the $_POST[] data. My problem is to integrate this code in the Wordpress framework. I have looked at some plugins but they are doing much more than I would like and also they have their own validation which is cumbersome to change. Could anyone suggest a good form plugin that allows just the framework hooks ? Or is it worthwhile that I should write the plugin myself. Thanks.

  Hi, I'm trying to make a SELECT on three relational tables like these ones: table_materials -> material_id - material_name table_props -> prop_id - prop_name table_materials_props - row_id -> material_id -> prop_id - prop_value On my page, I'd like to get a result like this one but i have some problem with the query: material prop A prop B prop C prop D prop E wood 350 NULL NULL 84 16 iron NULL 17 NULL NULL 201 copper 548 285 99 NULL NULL so the query should return something like: material prop_name prop_value wood prop A 350 wood prop B NULL wood prop C NULL wood prop D 84 wood prop E 16 // and go on with others rows i thought to use something like: SELECT * FROM table_materials AS m INNER JOIN table_materials_props AS mp ON m.material_id = mp.material_id INNER JOIN table_materials_props AS p ON mp.prop_id = p.prop_id ORDER BY p.prop_name the problem is the query doesn't return the NULL values, and I need the same prop order for all the materials regardless of prop values are NULL or not I hope this example is clear!

• Where can I get resources for developing for Mac OS Classic?

  I recently got bored and fired up my old Mac OS Classic emulator, and then got nostalgic for writing old-school applications for the system. So, my question: Where can I get dev tools that can still target Classic? (Ideally free, since this is just for fun, but if grabbing a used version of CodeWarrior on eBay is the best way to go, so be it.) Where can I get at least reference materials so I don't have to guess-and-check my way around Carbon/the System Toolbox? Are there any forums still running that would be open to answering old-school Mac questions for when I get stuck? This is purely for fun, so don't worry about how impractical this is. I know.

  Our organization did invest in PRINCE2 training and certification for our Project Managers and we would like to advertise the fact that we are certified and we use PRINCE2 project management method. Where can I get PRINCE2 logo in eps vector graphics format, usable for printed materials business cards and marketing brochures. • Revision Materals, other than book, for MCTS 70-536 Exam

  Does anyone have any recommendations on revision materials for the MCTS 70-536 exam other than the monstrosity that is the official book? I am finding it very difficult to absorb the amount of information in the book in such a passive way (i.e just reading) it's not going in. My current approach has been to use the practise tests and make notes on the questions I was unsure about but given the wide varity of questions that could come up I am not sure if this is the correct way to do things. So is there someone with more condensed, bite-size, information to take in. Maybe videos or podcasts? Cheers!

• The .NET ActiveX component with WPF content can't be loaded by non MFC app

  I have a legacy delphi program and want to add some content implemented with WPF. So I encapsulate the WPF control with a .NET/ActiveX interop technology. That means something like: [ComRegisterFunction()] public static void RegisterClass(string key); [ComUnregisterFunction()] public static void UnregisterClass(string key); The activeX component is a WinForms User Control and the WPF materials are attached to an ElemenHost in this User Control. It works fine if the host app of this ActiveX is a MFC program even without /clr switch. But my legacy app is a delphi program, and it always throw a stackoverflow exception within the constructor of my WPF user control as the program be started. I have no clue, Google is no help. and it has puzzled me for days.

• Is VS2010 Premium Worth the Price?

  I know this is somewhat subjective, but I can't find an honest answer anywhere. Everything concerning VS2010 are Microsoft marketing materials. Our small group is going to upgrade to VS2010(mostly for F# and the new threading features), but we can't decide between the Professional and Premium versions. The integrated testing features in Premium sound good, but I can' figure out if they're worth the 10x increase in cost between the two versions(Professional is ~549, Premium is ~5400). Has anyone been faced with a similar decision? What swayed you one way or the other?

• Learning resources for Linux filesystem, command line, and structure

  Can anyone suggest some good materials for learning more about the Linux filesystem and command line? I have found myself frequently confused as to what programs go where on the Linux filesystem. I would like to learn how the various directories (var, etc, usr ...) are used and how to use the commandline more effectively. I come from the Windows development world (.NET developer) so I am very familiar with Windows system administration. However, when doing more and more work with PHP I found myself lost in the internals of Linux (specifically Ubuntu). For example I was having problems installing PEAR properly on my Ubuntu system and not understanding why it was installed where it was. All of my interactions with Linux machines is done via SSH so I would like to focus on the command line and the filesystem. Thanks for any suggestions.

This project is a something like a Transaction Processing system and I need to know something like this: when and where I must use synchronous and asynchronous relations between its components?   Short Want to set automatic (or at least semi-auto) software version numbering in GIT Detailed I'm newby to GIT. Recently created some bare git repo and made some commits and pushes into it. Want to set some starting version number (like v1.0) to my project. I know, there is tag for this reason. Googled it and found bunch of materials. For example: git - the simple guide blog says: You can create a new tag named 1.0.0 by executing git tag 1.0.0 1b2e1d63ff the 1b2e1d63ff stands for the first 10 characters of the commit id you want to reference with your tag. Kudelabs says: $ git tag -a 'milestone1' -m 'starting work for milestone 1, due in 2 weeks' $ git push --tags I'm really confused. What is difference between first and second method: git tag and git tag-a. Can't figure out which to use for this purpose. How can I set version number in bare remote repo, to which I made 5-6 commits and pushes?

• Removing all installed Gems and starting over

  I recently started learning Ruby and Ruby on Rails, and have watched a plethora of getting started materials. I have been finding lately that I keep getting errors where gems won't install or they will be installed but they can't be used for some reason, and I have decided that I want to remove everything down to once again just having Ruby installed and start over with the installation. One training video had me install most of my gems with RVM, so I don't know if that changes anything. So in short my question is "How to I get rid of RVM, Rubygems, and all installed Gems so that I can start over with just Ruby?" Edit: I am on Mac OS 10.6

In fact, I'm looking for recommendations of materials that focus on the higher level concepts with examples that could port well to any language so even ASP.net books will be tolerated ;-) Any recommendations for books, websites, blogs, etc would be excellent. • Shader vs Shader Material , papervision specific , general insight welcome.

  hello overflow. I asked this question on the pv3d forum and not a single person could, or cared to answer it. Im relatively new to 3d so i apologize if this is common sense to some. I have a sphere , in which i am applying a CellMaterial to. Looks great. I noticed that in the papervision sdk , there is also a CellShader. Should I be using this in congruence with the CellMaterial ? Should it be one or the other ? Is shader , a deprecated practice to Shader Material ? My initial thoughts were that the shader applies to the whole scene , while materials can be applied uniquely to objects. The documentation seems to show otherwise. What benefit if any could be gained by using both a CellShader and a CellMaterial ? id really love to get some ambient inclusion in there some how.

  I'm trying to make a code that cast shadow from trasnparent objects(such as glass) for rendering in 3D I do not have a shadow map and photon mapping yet, and I wanted to know if there is a way to make shadows for transparent materials using ray tracing only. Caustics sounds very hard without photon mapping...   I'm in the designing stages of a custom tcp/ip protocol for mobile client-server communication. When not required (data is not sensitive), I'd like to avoid using SSL for overhead reasons (both in handshake latency and conserving cycles). My question is, what is the best practices way of transmitting authentication information over an unencrypted connection? Currently, I'm liking SRP or J-PAKE (they generate secure session tokens, are hash/salt friendly, and allow kicking into TLS when necessary), which I believe are both implemented in OpenSSL. However, I am a bit wary since I don't see many people using these algorithms for this purpose. Would also appreciate pointers to any materials discussing this topic in general, since I had trouble finding any.

  For doing prototyping on small embedded projects that require physical motion, what hardware prototyping tools are available? For my projects, I tend to spend more time finding parts (i.e. wood, aluminum, etc.) and making the proper cuts, measurements, and connections than writing the software and configuring the electrical hardware. Are there any affordable products that will enable me to create physical hardware that is strong enough to support motion? If not, what techniques or tools are available to help develop the physical hardware more quickly? Currently, I typically build my projects from wood and plastic scraps that I have lying around. What types of materials enable you to prototype more quickly? CLARIFICATION: By motion, I mean something that has to bear stress like a robot arm powered by a servo motor and could handle moving or carrying 1-2 lbs.

  Hi there I am not sure if the title has the correct terms, I have a developer and am very new to cubes. I have a cube which has data associated to materials that are broken down into chemical compounds. For example a rock material has 10% of this chemical and 10% of that chemical, etc. Samples are taken daily and sample is a dimension with date, etc. So, the measure needs to average by the sample dimension but needs to sum across the chemical compound dimension (To add up to 100% for example). Is this at all possible?
